Cafeteria Chatter Since this is my last year of High School I figured I'd take two classes at the Community College nearby so I'd knock out a few credits for college. The last day I was there, I had lunch in the cafeteria. While I'm picking up my food, I overhear the cashier talking to someone about a friend who'd decided to homeschool their kids. She was appalled, apparently. "They don't get any social interaction. I don't know how those kids will function when they're adults!" she said. Being a homeschooled kid, I hear this sort of thing a lot. Then she said something that I personally thought was really stupid. "Well, I know that homeschooled kids will never be able to get into classes here, so I just won't worry about it." At the time I knew of at least 4 other people who took classes there who were homeschooled (and could carry on a conversation with other humans.) I came this close to walking over there and saying "Hi, I'm a homeschooler, and I take two classes here."
However, I decided it was better not to tick off the person who charges me money.
