Out with the Old and In with the New
Today I finally received my
Grifball Messenger bag. I got it as a replacement for my original RT bag. I felt that finally getting a new laptop meant that I needed a new bag to go with it. Both the old bag and laptop out performed my expectations. I got the bag about 6-6.5 years ago right when it was released. I used it mostly to transport paper files back and forth from work and home. About 5.5 years ago I got a job as an automation programmer and had to pick up a laptop.
The bag was perfect for all the cables that I had to carry with me to interface between all the remotes and systems. They went with me everywhere. In and out of my truck every single workday, on every single job. In 5 years I can count on 1 hand the number of times I left them at home. About 6 months ago the front pouch developed a hole and could no longer be packed. That was the only problem the bag ever had. The laptop gave me a few more issues, but nothing that a new hard drive wouldn't fix. But alas, I had used them both far past their actual life span. It was time for their retirement. I finally landed on a Lenovo Yoga 13, and ordered the clementine orange colored shell, which would match the grifball bag perfectly. Unfortunately, I ended up with the silver shell, but I still had my heart set on the grifball bag. I only hope my new setup will last as long as my old one did. I had to take a picture for the old and new and link it here. I figured Burnie would be more likely to actually read a story if I linked it to his own site. Burnie or anyone else at RoosterTeeth, if you happened to make it here and actually read this entire story, thank you for all the years of laughs. I happened to find your original RvB episode back in '02 or '03. I was one of those guys in the military that could relate everyone of my squadmates to a character and we all laughed at each other together. I've been a pretty silent member on the site since the pbp days, but I'm pretty sure I've been a sponser ever since we could be (maybe short gaps due to CC expiring and having to get a new subscription setup). I have thoroughly enjoy your content, and will continue to support and buy your product whenever I don't have to buy clothes for my kids instead. I even sported the original RoosterTeeth logo hat to midnight launch of Halo4 at my local gamestop. I then realized I was too old for that crap as I wanted them to stop smoking and turn the music down.
With big hugs and kisses,
An always loyal fan,
