My Spring Break Vacation Well for Spring Break I went to a huge indoor water park called the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, we were suppossed to go to Florida but my rather conservative father thought it would be too expensive just to pay for gas to get down there. I took quite a few pictures but don't have a digital camera or scanner so you'll all have to wait a little for those.
Anyway this place was pretty cool with pelts from all kinds of animals hanging on all the walls in the lobby and had chandaliers made of deer or moose antlers. The water park was swarming with teenagers and mercifully few little kids so I had a lot of company. They had a pretty good sized wave pool, a lazy river, water slides, and all the other things you'd expect a water park to have, but the most interesting thing was this large tower like building that stood up above the main waterpark building and had a massive tornado shaped waterslide that was fully enclosed but had huge windows so you could see the woods and highway outside the place. It was really fun because when you went down that slide you had a straight drop that couldn't have been more than a 25 degrees angle and after that a big open area where you would swirl around until you finally got to the bottom, it was pretty fun, the only thing was you had to carry these huge four person intertubes up four stories worth of stairs and my biceps were aching at the end of every day, if I didn't work out so much I probably wouldn't have been able to do it at all.
The other thing that was really funny about this place was everything was extremely expensive. For example I asked the person at the front lobbly how much it would be to rent a DVD player and some movies, she said $30.00 a night for the DVD player and $12.00 dollars to order a movie on the TV. At this point my dad made the sarcastic comment "for that much those had better be the best movies I've ever seen!". Another really expensive thing was when we ordered a pizza to our room on the last night there the guy said it would be twelve dollars for a large pizza but it'd be an extra seven because he had to go up stairs to deliver it to which I made a sarcastic comment about how if I got payed seven dollars everytime I went up some stairs I'd be very rich by now.
All in all I'd have to say it was a pretty fun vacation.
