I know you all would just love to hear all about ME! So, I suppose I could spare a moment to indulge you... I'm Chauncy, but most people have difficulties with that, so call me Jim. I am before anything else a Christian, but my intrests extend to Sci-Fi/Fantasy stories, books, and games, as well as the rediculously funny things of the world, such as the fine work done at Homestarrunner.com and this fine website. The Consequences of Divorce...
If ever there was a man bred speciifically to punish a woman for getting a divorce, my step-father is that man. Ever since he and my mother got together he's been rude and nasty to me, and my mother, telling us how we're inadiquate to make himself feel better about his own problems, how I'm a hippocritical Christian because he's not around to see all the fruit God produces through me, and for some reason can't remember that which has been done for him. He has no job, and rather than be a help to my mom or I he spends all the money my mother makes on pointless projects to "spruce up" the house and beer and cigarettes for his 20 half hour breaks a day. He won't eat anything not prepared my his own hand, and won't fix anything that others request, and he gets upset when you turn your nose up at something he makes for you that you told him you wouldn't like or didn't need. To top it all off, he's a perfectioinist, but only judges others refusing to look at himself, and when something don't meet his approval he writes a nasty note to the offender somehow assuming that will solve the problem.
Tonight was another of those "note" nights, cept since I don't like the notes and he knows that, he recited it to me instead. Honestly, I think he didn't want to look me in the eye, but of course, that's just my theory.
He's done this before, and I always forgave him, but we're not to be walked all over either, and I won't stand for it anymore. I'm too tired and way too busy to deal with this crap and I came real close to loosing it this time, but thanks be to God that I couldn't find what I was looking for or I'd probably be in a much colder room right now with a man I've never even met to keep me company.
Satan knows right where to hit me, and now that his original primary tactic doesn't work anymore, he's resorted to this. I really hate that it's so easy for him to rile me like this. I usually can control my anger, but this is really trying my restraints... The chains groan under the stress and threaten to give up their desperate battle and let the beast run free again...
I really need prayer on this one guys... The thoughts that suddenly spill forth as effective means of revenge scare the crap out of me... They aren't mine, they aren't from God... For my step-father's sake and that of my family friends, myself, and God's witness in my life please pray for me.
I know none of us are psycologist, and I doubt anyone will feel equiped to deal with this, but thanks for listening and for any prayers you can spare. I don't need a doctor's help, I need Christ's and that's why this forum is here, so that the need can be met by Christians in prayer, no matter how minor or major the problem, wether one of flesh or spirit, this forum is where it belongs as a call to arms... to prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
