  • I Killed A Dragon

    LoZelda Supposedly An Adult

If you don't follow me on Twitter (or if you do but, I dunno, actually had a life outside of social media yesterday) you may have missed my series of tweets from the D&D session we had where I went unconscious and then upon getting healed made the killing blow on a black dragon by using Inflict Wounds, literally ripping the dragon open. My amazing community (gamenut, specifically) wasted no time in meme-ing the moment.

I LIVED THROUGH CHRISTMAS FAMILY SOCIALIZING. But honestly, my family is pretty chill and relaxed. Every year, they do something rather unique during dinner. Last year, they had a hibachi grill in the backyard and this year we had a "number service" for wonton soup. It was pretty amazing. I, of course, made my traditional deviled eggs and ate everything in sight.

One thing that was very different for me was helping prep the turkey. Mom had surgery on her shoulder about a month ago, so we had to help with her the brine and adding spices and butter. It turned out pretty well! I might actually make a turkey myself one of these days. Maybe I'll start with a cornish hen first though...

I got to see my dad's dog, Honey, for a couple days. I didn't get to see her last year, so I was worried she might not remember me much but her ears perked right up when I started saying "Honey Bunches of Ooooooaaaaats!" which is a nickname I gave her years ago.

I even got to see my peeps from the RT Las Vegas community group! Hard to believe that I started that group damn near 5 years ago, and it's still going. If you're in the area and want to go to their meet ups, let me know, and I'll connect you with the community leader out there!

Overall, Christmas was a lot of fun. I don't miss the city at all, but I do miss my family. I'm one of the few that moved away from Vegas. I'm much happier in Austin; however the one thing I wish was in the Texas area was a damn Del Taco.

How was your week? Tell me all the deets. We have a lot to catch up on!

Some pictures from the last few days.

  • Work Secret Santa

We had our work Secret Santa exchange yesterday and my Secret Santa knocked it out of the park!

Yes, we did have to fill out a little form to give our Secret Santa some guidance on things we loved, but I mean, HOW AWESOME IS THIS? The funny thing is that I already have an AvoSeedo (a green one!) and I used it to grow my current avocado plants that are now potted. This is just the universe's way of telling me that I need to grow more.

I text this photo to my boyfriend and his only response was "OH MY GOD, NOT ANOTHER ONE". Perfection.

Anyone else do a Secret Santa with friends or coworkers? What'd you get?

  • RT Community Day - December 2018

    kriss Community Manager

Today is #RTCommunityDay. As it is the last one for 2018, I think back on the year as a whole, specifically the last six months for myself personally. I signed up on on 11/11/05. That's a long time ago. Loved RvB and loved the people who made it even more.

I was a pretty sheltered mind back then (even today I have so much to experience and learn). I met some cool community members who taught me about podcasts and the basics of video and audio editing. Even delved in fun fan projects, submitting my voice for characters.

There wasn't much community presence in Vegas at the time, so I created the RT Las Vegas group, met even more awesome people and found that I very much loved community management. I also volunteered for RTX as a Guardian for five years and loved it with all my heart.

Now, 13 years later, almost half my life, here I am as a CM for Rooster Teeth. I never thought I would be here as I am but I honestly cannot imagine being anywhere else. RT has changed my life. The friends I've made, the memories we have created... Over the years, we laughed together, cried together, uplifted each other when times were tough and celebrated when times were amazing. I saw people get married and start families and build their own businesses. I got to see so much good come from this community.

And we are far from being done. We will continue to grow and build and learn, and become a stronger family. I am beyond happy and humbled that I get to be in a position to see all of this happen in years to come. Thank you #rtcommunity. I love you all so much.

  • Merry RWBY and Happy Volume 6 Updates!

Ho Ho Ho! Merry RWBY! Long time no journal, how’s everyone doing? Good? Great? Awesome?!

I hope y’all have been enjoying this volume of RWBY so far! I couldn’t be happier with it, CRWBY has been kicking ass. It’s been an absolute blast to work on.

Got a couple of announcements for your calendars, mark ’em down!

    - Next week will be our mid-season break, which means no new episode on December 22nd! If you haven’t been with us as we’ve aired the last few seasons, we typically take a break during the holidays so the crew can get some time to spend with their families :) (or play Smash. Or both?)

    - To help get your fix, FIRST members can join us for a RWBY Volume 6 watch party on the site! That will be December 21, 10am CST. I’ll be there as well as members of CRWBY to laugh at memes and argue over whether a character dabbed or not with you all!

    - Chapter 8 will still stream as normal for free in RTTV stream ( on December 22, 10am CST. Grab dat bowl of cereal and come watch it on the site with everyone in the community!

    - RWBY will return on December 29th with Chapter 9 for FIRST members like nothing bad ever happened.

    - Our finale this year will be on January 26th for FIRST members, which is great timing because that’s also the same week as the premiere of gen:LOCK!!! (Y’all, I just got a chance to watch the first episode… DAMN! No… DAYUM!)

Okay, that’s all I got for now. If you haven’t noticed from all of the times I just typed FIRST (I promise I didn’t copy and paste any of them, those were artisanal key presses) there are a lot of great reasons to sign up to be a FIRST member. Or get that one lazy friend to always talks about it signing up but never does a month to give it a shot! Thanks a lot, Jerry.

    Happy Holidays  heart

The Desk of The Desk of Death Battle - The GARBAGE Billy Ray Cyrus Comic - Editor Notes

Watch the episode and come back for notes!

    • This episode of Desk of is the longest episode we've done in a while. I can't tell you how much time I spent with Billy Ray Cyrus as I worked on this episode. It was too much AND YOU'RE WELCOME.
    • The Liam/Billy Ray Taken conversation: My best work? Probably.
    • Why DO these Billy comics feature kids in both adventures? Were kids the target demo? Were KIDS the big Achy Breaky Heart fans??
    • Also poor Merlin right? Famous wizard that ends up pumping gas. Real bummer.
    • Fun Fact: this is my favorite fun fact.
    • And now this: The following is my attempt to write out the lyrics to Will Smith's Wild Wild West rap from memory:

It's the wild wild west, jim west, desperado, rough rider, no you don't want nada, none of this, from the gun of this, buffalo solider, just like a told ya, wild wild west. That's all I got.

    Here are the actual lyrics:

    Uh, wickey wild wild
    Wicky wicky wild
Wickey wild, wicky wicky wild wild wild west,
    Jim West, desperado, rough rider
    No you don't want nada
None of this, six gun in this, brotha runnin' this,
Buffalo soldier, look it's like I told ya

Rewatched the Mortal Kombat movie last night. I really, really want a remake to be done.

Fun fact, did you know that the martial artist who played Reptile in the first movie also played Sub Zero's brother in the second movie AND he and Robin Shou (Liu Kang) were in Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley?

    Crazy, right?

Anyways... back to the original point, what video game movie would you like to see remade?

What is an Autograph Lottery Code?

We understand the phrasing for the autograph signing perk has changed for 2019.  No fear, as this does not mean any changes to the system! The new term “Autograph Lottery Code” was adapted for a few reasons.  First, to many newcomers to RTX we want the wording to better define that the sign ups for autograph sessions is up to chance, just as it has always been.  We have noticed the previous phrasing of “Autograph Code” led new attendees to believe they were guaranteed a signing, which is not the case.  Unfortunately, there just aren’t enough signing slots to guarantee a session for every attendee. Second, now that we have added the Ultra badge with a perk of (2) GUARANTEED autograph signings of their choice, we wanted to be sure we accurately defined the difference between the two perks.

Is the Karaoke Party the Platinum Party?
The Karaoke Party is replacing the Platinum Party.  The Karaoke Party will be an awesome night for Ultra and Platinum badge holders to hang out with other community members, play games, mingle, and of course, karaoke! The party will be hosted by a Special Guest and you will have an opportunity to meet & greet with Rooster Teeth staff.

  • Super SMASHED Brothers!

Nintendo's releasing a video game which means it's time to get fucked up in the middle of the day!

SUPER SMASHED BROS. will air LIVE at on Friday, December 7 at 2:00 PM PST... ish.

We'll be playing six-player five-stock brawls, random stages, all items on. Shot rules will be doled out by place --

    1st - no shot

    2nd - 5th - half shot

    6th - full shot

There are a few tweaks and bonus rules though, because of course there are.

If you get hit with a final smash... take a shot!

And, if a new challenger approaches... everyone takes a shot!

Finally, to prevent runaway conditions where sleeper professionals continue to get first and avoid drinks, the winner of each round will have to prove their esports pro nature by playing FOX ONLY, NO ITEMS, FINAL DESTINATION. The true meaning of this will be revealed on Friday...

If you can't make the stream, we'll have the video up in full on Fullhaus sometime in the middle of next week, with the edited YouTube video following some time after.

As usual we'll stream for a few hours and dissolve into various games as the night goes on. We hope you join us!

  • An Important Update Regarding the RT Box

    Eric_Duncan VP, Marketing

Happy Holidays, everyone. I hope your year has been a great one and that this last month of 2018 treats you well. This year Matt is giving us almost the entire afternoon off for Christmas, so we’re pretty excited! I’m coming to you today with some sad news that was pretty difficult to write.

    The RT Box is ending.

Yes, you read that right. The Season 3 Box, the RT Holiday box that many of you are already enjoying, will be the last one. It has been a crazy ride from when we originally launched Double Gold in July 2016, to when we changed plans and created the current RT Box this April, and till now. We’ve seen some ups and downs, but I’m proud that the team was able to make some of the coolest stuff ever for these exclusive boxes, and we’ve had a blast. At Rooster Teeth we like to try new things that we think our community will enjoy. We took a couple of shots at this and it just hasn’t quite worked out. I want to thank everyone who subscribed or even just tried out one or two boxes. You chose to support us when you could have done otherwise, and we appreciate that more than you know.

What does this mean for you?
I know a lot of you value one RT Box perk in particular - the ability to get first crack at Rooster Teeth live event tickets. If you’re a current subscriber, we’re going to let you keep that perk for 2019. As long as you are a paying RT Box member any time in Season 3 (between October 1 and December 31) you will be eligible to receive the following perks from January 1 to December 31, 2019.

    • Two gold stars next to your username

    • Early access to purchase tickets for live events

We will be removing the 10% off discount in the RT Store starting January 1, 2019, for current RT Box members.

    What’s next?
Anyone who is currently an RT Box member, expecting to be charged for the Season 4 box - you won’t be charged in the new year. Your recurring payments will stop on January 1 and no further charges will happen.

If you have not purchased the RT Holiday Box, you still have time if you want it. You have until December 31 at 11:59 p.m. CT or until we run out of inventory.

Thanks for being awesome. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me or @Chelsea if you have any questions.

The Desk of The Desk of Death Battle - The INSANE Mishima Family - Editor Notes

Watch the episode and then circle back for notes!

    • The Thanksgiving break meant that this episode needed a quick turn around. Guess what makes it difficult when you need to edit quickly: When you know nothing about Tekken and all of these similarly named family members keep throwing each other off of cliffs and you need to sort all of these non-linear clips in chronological order!!!!!!
    • Thankfully my fellow SA dudes did a bunch of research on Jin and helped me out!
    • But still, this was ridiculous.
    • Also don't be mistaken: Just because I used a shot from The Amazing Spider-Man doesn't mean I like that movie. I do not.
    • I couldn't find a scene of a son learning to shave with his dad that I liked so Vader cutting off Luke's hand will have to do!
    • Any eagle-eyed Knight's Tale fans out there? *wink wink*
    • I vowed to use every single frame of these awkward, slow, close ups of Kazuya. Every. Single. Frame.
    • I'm almost sad there wasn't room to include more footage of this crazy family like all of these guys strapped to a rocket. WHAAT.

  • Avocado Update!

    kriss Community Manager

We finally went out to a garden store and bought more supplies for the avocado seeds plus a little cutting we took from a tree in Florida (will explain more later).

So far, they are surviving the new environment. Had a little scare with the one in the middle as its leaves started curling and I freaked out a bit. Turns out, it just needed a little more water, and then it revived itself. I think that's the best way to explain it. But they're doing well, and I'm hoping that they will make awesome indoor plants until I can create a better space for them outdoors.

Regarding the cutting we brought back from Florida, my boyfriend's parents have a Jade Tree. We went out to Florida to celebrate Thanksgiving with them. Since we don't live in the same city, I thought it would be nice to bring back a little memento back home with us.

Haven't thought of names yet, but open to suggestions!

    How are you all doing?

  • Rats Through a Maze

    Daniel Writer/Director

    Hello all!

I hope everyone is enjoying the first season of Achievement Haunter. The cast and crew have worked very hard to create a good looking, fun and entertaining show that we hope delivers. But I wanted to address something I keep seeing in the comments:

Is Haunter scripted? Yes and no (but mostly, no).

Television--or any quality entertainment format really--demands some sort of story or loose structure that many would describe as “satisfying” for the audience. In the horror genre, that usually means quality scares and/or destroying the monster. But, since we don’t know week-to-week if we will find a ghost, we plan a few situations and scares so we can be sure there’s a show. That said, sometimes these moments fail and do not end up in the episode. There are several story beats throughout any given episode; however, everything in between that is completely up to the cast and the random events of any given situation.

To better explain, let’s go back to my days on Immersion S3 and S4, a show that often placed Gavin and Michael in a labyrinth of video game related tasks and scenarios they would hilariously stumble through. Resident Evil, or even Surgeon Simulator for that matter, are really good examples. They are different formats but each have “scripted” elements; but what the lab rats do with those elements is completely up to them. It's what I like to call "Rats Through a Maze" method of storytelling.

For instance, in Resident Evil we set up several obstacles: a course with blind corners and tri hazards, a few zombies whose path and reactions were based on rules, and a clear goal at the end of the course—in this case a key. And each time we would change the Lab Rats camera POV because that was the test. But that’s it. I did not tell Gavin and Michael to try high-fiving three different ways; or how to reload their guns; or where the keys were. It’s all up to them how to deal with the situation.

Surgeon Simulator may be an even better example because their obstacle is right in front of them: save the patient before they bleed out. I set the parameters, add some props and spray lots of blood. What about the plate with fork and knife in the metal drawer? Only Michael knew about that. Gavin had no idea. All I told Michael was: “Look inside the drawer. And the material in the stomach is edible. Good luck.” That’s it. The rest was up to Michael and Gavin. And it’s one of the best moments of the episode!

Haunter is very similar. Did we bring a red ball to coax out Stacy? Yes. Did I tell Michael to pop it? No. Did I tell Lindsay to try and find ghost cats? Yes. Did I tell her to make a summoning circle? All her. Do we use specific tools in the episode based on the story? Yes. Do we script the results? Absolutely not. Do I propose Michael lock Jeremy in a closet? Absolutely. Do we tell Jeremy first? Hell no.

And for the record: I don’t know what the fuck happened to Jeremy at the Long Leaf Sawmill.

So certain beats of the ghost hunt are planned out ahead of time, sure. But all the space in between—and often times the beats themselves—are up to the team. It’s all based around what they experience and the story of the location. All the director does is make sure the audience has the information they need and encourage follow up if something is discovered.

Furthermore, we rarely manipulate the location during a ghost hunt. And the majority of the Story Times are shot on location the next day.

Ultimately, the show is a hybrid. The Story Time is partially scripted because the team needs to know the dates, details and story of the crazy shit that happens at these haunted locations. They need the beats to tell a story. But the rest—the improvisation that we then recreate—is entirely up to them. In the moment. But I’ll write more on the process of Story Time later on in the season.

    Hope that is illuminating!

    Enjoy the show,

Watch the episode and come back for notes!

    • Two Cast Away clips in back to back episodes. You're welcome.
    • Lisa Foiles has started including multiple takes more and more and she often does alternative reads and improvises. It's hard to pick out the "best" one sometimes. Maybe we should start compiling the alts and release them as BTS. What do you think?
    • With this episode, Detective Pikachu and Let's Go coming out, it's been hard to resist dropping 60 bucks on that game!
    • Actual editing note warning: The challenge of this episode was deciding how to show several full panel comparisons in an interesting way. I went with a few different options and I'm happy with how it all came together.
    • Once again people walked by my desk while I was Photoshopping that "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover" featuring Misty. Awkward hilarity ensued.
    • Also, you like Nested sequences? ENJOY LIKE A MILLION.
    • The Detective Pikachu trailer may or may not have influenced the release of this episode.
    • I knew that this movie was coming but it wasn't until the first few seconds of the trailer that I realized that this isn't just a Pokemon movie, it's the FIRST live action movie. Crazy. I think it could be good in a weird Guardians of the Galaxy way. What do you think??

    kriss Community Manager

SO MUCH has happened in the last week that I can't believe it's not 2019 already.

rice_ball The Extra Life community stream raised over 100k for charity. Watching Jack, Caiti, and Chelsea take on the 25, yes 25, hour stream during one of most amazing community events of the year was very humbling. Shout out to all of our community groups who participated, took on some pretty rough stretch goals, and continued their 24 hour streams after they were featured on RT. #forthekids!

rice_ball We are now 48 hours after the main RT Extra Life stream, and I cannot believe we raised over 1.4 million. Like...HOLY. CRAP. I stayed for the entirety of the stream to act as a mod for the various chats we had going. We were streaming to, YT, and Twitch, so you can imagine that I had a lot to keep myself busy.

Over the years, I had watched the RT Extra Life streams throughout game day, donated when I could, and shared their donation links as often as possible. This year, I was able to see everything from behind the scenes. Jack, Caiti, and Chad are unbelievable superstars and huge inspirations. No matter how tired (or sore) they were, they continued on, keeping up that energy in front of the camera, and encouraging everyone involved with EL from behind the scenes. It was nonstop.

Michael and the Broadcast team were unwavering and it was incredibly endearing to read all of the comments of adoration and love from the community to the Broadcast team. Every year, Broadcast steps it up, and every year, they conquer everything that's thrown at them (sometimes literally).

We had amazing mods helping us out for the entirety of the stream this year, and Chelsea, Cricket, and myself couldn't be prouder of them. Keeping chat wholesome for a charity stream for children isn't an easy task, but all of our mods handled the multiple chats wonderfully. I was blown away by their passion and drive to keep working as hard as they did.

Our Social team kept up with EVERYTHING that happened during EL. Going back and seeing everything that was posted and recorded on our various social channels is nothing short of amazing. Maxie and Amanda absolutely killed it with the coverage this year. Huge shout out to Peter Hayes for the assist as well. I'm still convinced he hasn't slept since the end of the stream.

Throughout the day, I cheered on my colleagues (or covered my mouth in sheer terror due to the punishments inflicted upon them) and I couldn't help but feel a tremendous sense of awe, happiness, and pride for them. Every single person you saw on camera, or caught a glimpse of behind the scenes took the extra time and energy to bring what you saw on the EL stream. I work for an amazing company, and I work with equally wonderful people. And none of this could have happened without, as Jack said it, "the best community in the GD universe".

YOU all made this happen. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are blessed to have this community, and even more blessed that we can work together like this and bring good into this world. Thank you, thank you, thank you <3

  • You Guys Want Some More Extra Life Achievement Hunter Erotic Fan Fiction?

    Larry Shifty Larry

Two years ago, after an unfortunate wheel spin during Extra Life, Team Big O was formed.

Last year, I was all, "Hey. Writing erotic fan fiction about my coworkers is awful. Please never make me do it again."

This year, Trevor asked if I was willing for it to go back on the wheel, and having forgotten how awful it is to write erotic fan fiction about my coworkers, I was all "Absolutely! It's for the kids."

So here's the transcript for you to read whenever you want. Perverts.

AH Jizz Fest - The Great Achievement Hunter Orgy

A Fan Fiction by Larry Matovina

Oh hot fuck! It was that day again. Extra Life. Two years ago, Jack and Jeremy fulfilled their dreams of becoming Team Big O, getting their sticky cum cums all over each other - for charity, of course. Also, Trevor died! Thank goodness we had that witch doctor on the sidelines to bring him back to life.

Last year, Achievement Hunter tamed it down a bit. Shifty kisses. Some mild bondage. But no big boner blow-out like two years back.

But Jack Pattillo was determined to make some serious mother fucking charity money. All for the kids, obviously.

7:59. It was almost time to start the stream. Jack was filled with steaming, hot loads...of anticipation.

“Welcome to Extra Life 2018. It’s me, your Charity King, Jack Pattillo. You guys ready to make 1.25 million dollars for charity?”

    “You betcha!” said Caiti, Australianly.

“Absolutely I am!” chimed in Chad, the newest host of Extra Life. “How about we get some ideas up on the ol’ Wheel of Vengeance and get to spinning?”

Various punishments were added to the wheel.  Ball slaps from Chad’s birth control machine. 100 paintball shots at Jeremy. Trevor gets run over with the steam roller, or “Make that ho re-dead,” as it was also known. Hot nuts in yo’ mouth. And, of course, Nut 2.

With one space left, Jack walk cock-first over to the wheel. “Guys. Audience. Everyone. Extra Life needs to be bigger than ever. And there’s only one way that’s happening.” Jack took the marker from Trevor’s zombie fingers and wrote the last punishment in. Achievement. Hunter. Orgy.

Jack looked right at camera two to address the audience. “I don’t know how much of a punishment this will really be, but this is definitely what you all want. And maybe a little bit of what I want. Donate your $1337 donations, and there’s a good chance this stream will become a full-out, balls-out, fuckstravaganza.”

Jeremy came up behind Jack and lovingly wrapped his arms around that beautiful bearded bastard man. “Honestly, stream. I’m looking so forward to having this guy’s cock back in my mouth that I wrote a little rap about it.”

    “If there’s anything great

    About extra Life

It’s that I take my dick out

    And cheat on my wife

    By fuckin, suckin, nuttin

    With Jack Shannon Pattillo

    Strokin’ cummy cocks

    Is a real damn thrill-o

    So fork over donations

    Right to Caiti before she

    Has to watch and witness

    This hot-ass orgy.”

The rap was done and the donations rolled on in. It was $1337 donation after $1337 donation after $1337 donation.

“Oh my God!” Chad cried out. There’s like 97 wheel-spin donations in here. “You sick fucks are either really generous or really want to see this orgy.”

“Oh, it’s 100% both.” Jack replied as he took off his pants and underwear, revealing his throbbing member. “Caiti. Throw me my conch.”

Caiti tossed Jack’s trusty conch shell to him. You know the one I’m referring to, of course, if you’re a real fan. Jack’s special orgy conch that he talked about on that one Off Topic.

“Achievement Hunter...ASS-EMBLE!” Jack blew the orgy conch. Achievement Hunter stood at attention - and also grouped up together in the middle of the Extra Life set.

Geoff Ramsey. Jack Pattillo. Ryan Haywood. Jeremy Dooley. Gavin Free. Michael Jones. Lindsay Jones. Matt Bragg. Undead Trevor Collins. Alfredo Diaz. Andy Blanchard. Steffie Hardy. Larry Matovina. Kent Cook. Sarah Weems. Jacob McDuffee. Alec Agabon. And even the sweet new boy, intern-turned-contractor Jarren Marinez. All of Achievement Hunter except for Ashley Dillard, who was too busy getting married that day to get busy.

Trevor looked upon the team he was trusted to lead. The team he was about to have experience his seed. “Man. It’s a real shame Neal left the department,” he quipped. “I would have really loved ramming his sweet little ass today.”

Geoff shed a single tear. “I can’t believe I did it. Over a decade ago - when I started Achievement Hunter - I knew the ultimate goal was not just having our own monopoly board. Not just starting a ghost hunting show. It was to get fuckin’ laaaaaid by all my employees.”

“Alright. We really need to get this orgy going,” Caiti said. “On the count of three, it’s orgy time.”

“I can’t wait to see all the fan art for this one!” Chad excitedly exclaimed

The orgy was on! Clothes started flying every which way. Shirts and jeans and bras and jorts and underoos - all thrown aside so Achievement Hunter could be flesh to flesh.

    “Big O?” Asked Jack.

    “Big O,” Jeremy replied, sensually.

Jeremy and Jack started their seminal move, the fan-favorite Big O.

Lindsay started fucking Fredo with a Pusheen strap-on. She really wanted the sauce.

Meanwhile, Gavin held Michel in a loving embrace.

“Boi. I’ve been waiting for this shite for years.” Gavin whispered, sensually. “I’m going to treat you so gentle, little Mikey-poo.”

“...what the FUCK?” Michael replied, annoyed. “I’m going to go to fucking pound town with that uncircumcised dick of yours. After today, you’re not calling me boi anymore. I better be a goddamn man when we’re through.”

And Team Nice Dynamite started fucking and sucking every hole they had. Deep and hard and real fuckin nasty like.

Tired of sucking Jack, Jeremy slumped over to Ryan for a little Rimmy Tim Rim job. This was the day the Battle Buddies became the Battle Butt-ies, if you know what I mean.

Anal sex. It was hardcore, hard-dicked anal dickings.

But this orgy wasn’t just about fulfilling fan-requested ships. Fucking bodies against bodies were just slapping all up against each other in this charity-driven bitch.

Jacob made sure Kent’s beef was plenty much jerkied. Larry licked a little Lindsay labia. Matt Bragg made sure to get Trevor’s taint tickled. Steffie and Sarah were clit on clit. And Alec was filming everything for an AHWU segment, the filthy little pervert. At least until Ryan pulled him in for a little “knife fight.”

“I’m going to treat you like a cold, hard wall,” Andy told Matt as he rubbed his cummy cock all up and down Matt’s body.

Geoff gurkled all up on Jack’s gherkin. Miss Jones, formerly Tuggey, gave Gavin her tried and true tug job. Kent went buck wild on Larry’s dear ol’ throbcock. And you know Alfredo went fast and ate ass - just a hard tongue full of Trevor’s special hole. Then Fredo fuuuucked him hard. Jarren jerked Geoff off then jumped over to Jacob’s giant johnson for a little gentle jerking. Sarah Weems got her hands on a lot of weens.

It was 37 minutes of the hottest Achievement Hunter on Achievement Hunter action the world had ever witnessed. And let me tell you - anyone who witnessed those glorious sex havings got super fucking horny.

Rooster Teeth’s favorite traitor Andy Cortez started jerking off in the corner of the Kinda Funny office. He was known as the Hispanic Heartthrob, but his south-of-the-border barbacoa was the only thing throbbing today.

Chef Mike was working up a hearty dose of secret sauce, that’s for sure.

Somewhere deep in Garbo Land, the Garbo Family did their own rendition of The Aristocrats.

And you know the fucking freak who runs the Waboba twitter account was fondling his Moon Balls, alright.

And the audience, too. Everyone watching the Extra Life stream couldn’t help but furiously masturbate at the sight of this AH fuckfest. That’s right. All you sick fucks at home were also a part of the biggest cum in Extra Life history. #AHJizzFest went trending globally on Twitter, which got all the celebrities to notice what was going on with Rooster Teeth’s Extra Life stream, and helped raise awareness for the cause. “I was a part of the AH Jizz Fest” became a beacon of pride for anyone watching that day.

It was only nearing 9am, and already, the cum-soaked Rooster Teeth crew had already raised 11 million dollars for charity. Fuck. Yeah.

    Emphasis on fuck.

Also, when all the excitement died down, Jack rigged the Wheel of Vengeance to make sure “Trevor Gets Run Over By the Steam Roller,” got chosen, because the best way to come down from an on-stream orgasm is a little bit of Trevor murder. And John Mace was happy to oblige.

Later that day, the still-cummy Achievement Hunter crew made their way to Ashley’s wedding.

The dude that makes the people married was almost done with the ceremony. “Is there any reason these two should not be married?”

“Absolutely!” shouted Steffie. “At least not yet. In a moment of solidarity, she needs to join this orgy before she becomes a married woman. We want these last moments that she’s known as Ashley Dillard to be more of an...Ass-ley Dil-hole situation.”

“Fuck yeah!” Ashley exclaimed, ripping off her wedding dress. “Let’s do it.”

The gang got all up on her nipples and started sucking. She got a thorough performance review right there, in front of everyone attending. It was pretty fuckin weird. And when it was over, she popped her dress back on and got married. That was pretty cool. What a good fucking day for Achievement Hunter.

The end. And please never make me write one of these fuckers ever again.

    LoZelda Supposedly An Adult

First of all, massive shout out to the RT Community for your epic streams this last weekend! You guys killed it. And by "it" I mean childhood cancer and illness because you raised over $100k. I am so proud of all of you, and I was so excited to see my old stomping ground RT Michigan as a part of the official Community Stream.

I am unable to dedicate a day to doing a solid 24 hour stream myself (genLOCK isn't going to just make itself, ya know), but will be dedicating every stream this month to the cause. I will be streaming as part of Team Rooster Teeth, but raising money for the facility I was born in back in Michigan, Sparrow Children's Hospital. In addition to a handful of raffle prizes, I also have some stretch goals in place that include me finally biting the rage-inducing bullet that is Dark Souls III. I hope you'll help support Sparrow and my impending aneurysm!

If you're watching the RT Extra Life stream this weekend, you may see me around there too. I'm mostly helping work the event, but I may be a part of some...plans.

    jack I Like Lego

    Aloha folks!

It's time! This weekend brings forth the season of Extra Life! We're kicking it off with our third annual RT Community Stream! We're going to be broadcasting 25 hours of Extra Life from all over the planet, featuring different RT Community Groups and their efforts to support their local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

I'll be there with Caiti, @Chelsea, @chadscrewattack, @RTcastMichael, and the broadcast team giving updates between all of the different groups about what we've got coming up! Each team will broadcast for about an hour before moving on to the next team.  All of this will be seen at (Our new hub for all things Extra Life!)

Along with the community stream, we're going to have some merchandise up in the store as well that will contribute to Rooster Teeth's Extra Life donation. Last year's Pokemon-themed pin set will return to the Store for the RT Community Stream in preparation for a brand new set the following weekend! If you didn't get last years, this is your chance! On top of that, the #forthekids pin will return to the store, and live there forever! Proceeds from all of these pieces will go towards Rooster Teeth's donation to Extra Life! We do not profit from any Extra Life merchandise.

So, don't forget, starting tomorrow (November 3rd) morning at 8am CDT, check out the RT Community Stream, grab your new and old pins, and support your fellow RT Community!

On November 10th, at 8am CST, it all kicks off.  We'll be streaming 24 hours of the best #rtextralife shenanigans ever.  Join your favorites from all of the Rooster Teeth family as we do our damndest to raise $1.25 million dollars for the kids!

This year we're ramping everything up. We've got a dunk tank, we've got Moonballs, we've got a FREAKING STEAMROLLER.  It's going to be bonkers, and we want you there for it!

Also, as in years past, we'll have some incredible exclusive Extra Life merchandise available for you to grab! Of course, we'll have an incredible poster available for you.  This year's theme is the Crowned Rooster Hotel, and it looks amazing.  It's jam packed full of Easter eggs and I can't wait for you to get your hands on it.

Along with the poster, you can grab a Crowned Rooster shirt to show off your love of your favorite fake hotel ever.  The shirt will come in a unisex cut, or a female cut.  Your choice!  We'll also have a very very limited number of Crowned Rooster robes! Look posh! As I mentioned before, we've got a brand new set of Pokemon themed badges as well! Make sure to complete your set! ON TOP OF THAT COOLNESS -  the brand new WHEEL OF VENGEANCE pin hits the Store! It's our first ever moving pin! Hooray!

    So, TL;DR

2017 Pokemon-Themed Badge Pin Set Available Nov 3 - 4 during the RT Community Stream

#forthekids Pin Available starting Nov 3 and living there year-round!

2018 Pokemon-Themed Badge Pin Set Available Nov 10-11 during the Extra Life Stream

Wheel of Vengeance Pin Available Nov 10-11 during the Extra Life Stream

Crowned Rooster Shirt Female and Unisex Cuts Available Nov 10-11 during the Extra Life Stream

Limited Crowned Rooster Robes Available Nov 10-11 during the Extra Life Stream

We'll also have raffle prizes up for grabs as well as we have had in years past.  We're still lining up all of them, but we've got a few doozys in there... (including one incredible opportunity with Achievement Haunter!)

Again, this is all for the kids.  This is my favorite thing I get to do, and I hope you tune in.  If you can support our stream via donation, or purchasing some exclusive merchandise, that would be amazing.  If you can't support it financially, just spreading the word is the best thing on the planet.

We love you, and you guys are the best community on the planet!

Edit: The Wheel of Vengeance Pin is only available November 10 - 11 during the Extra Life Stream.

The Desk of The Desk of Death Battle - Why The Last Airbender Movie Sucks - Editor Notes

Watch the episode and then come on back for notes!

    • Story time: I was in college, circa 2013, and waiting in the hall. My roommate and I had the same class and had about thirty minutes to kill. So we started watching an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I was watching it through for the first time. There was a moment, IIRC, where the gang starts hallucinating and Appa randomly stands up and starts speaking. It took me by such surprise that I started bursting out in laughter in the middle of this college campus hallway. It was embarrassing. My roommate was laughing more at my reaction than the show. At this point it was becoming inappropriate and that made me laugh even harder. It's one of my favorite memories with this show. And the movie really does suck.
    • Thankfully, I saw the show first. It's so good. The movie feels like a really long montage of the first season/book. Booooo.
    • The production of this episode of Desk of was faster than usual. We have a lot on our plates here at ScrewAttack as we start wrapping up the year. Long story short, I had about 2 full days to edit this episode when usually I have 3.5-4 days. It's no big deal but it meant I had to hustle. Thankfully, there weren't any comic book panels to animate and I've seen both the show and the movie. If this was the "Red's Special Pokeballs" episode from a few week's ago, It would have been rough.
    • I'm realizing now that this round of notes is going to take a lot of restraint. Without it I would just use this whole thing up talking about how bad the movie is. (for example: what's with all of the weird pronunciations???? why????)
    • Much like Lisa, I also knew Bruce was dead the whole time.
    • You might notice a new thumbnail style for Desk of. We're hoping to make them all cleaner and more uniform from here on out!
    • Fun fact: Lisa's old All That castmate, Jack De Sena voiced Sokka in Avatar!
  • What's Next?

As things start to come to a close on this chapter on my life, I really wanted to sit down and just tell my story about this magical thing with the Experience Team here with Rooster Teeth. Some people may have noticed on social media that both Jarrett and myself released some behind the scenes footage of our AR, MR and VR work. Those early prototypes contain some of the cool looking experiences, features and content we built. Our time with Rooster Teeth, and our Experience Team that we built is coming to an end. Nobody got fired and there is no bad blood, It was just time for a change and it’s for the better. I wanted to write about this year and the amazing ride it's been from spending hours in the morning locked up in a conference room to having created one of the most fun mixed reality experiences and pushing how people interact with content. I do hope you enjoy this story and a personal thank you to everyone for being the most passionate community on this planet.

In the middle of production of RWBY 5, I kept having this single dream that played over and over in my mind. Every night it was the same, a giant robot just walking around a city. Looming over and casting this giant shadow as it blocked out the sun. Instead of fear, I felt excited and driven to see this happen in my lifetime. How do you bring a giant mech to the city so everyone can see? I knew after the dream kept happening, I needed to make this a reality.

By now, Gen:Lock was just slowly becoming more than just an idea filled with giant mechs and crazy scientists. I would read the pitch doc over and over again,  just enraptured with its tech and I wanted to know how much of that is even remotely possible, Some of the concepts that are littered in their world is slowly starting to come out of its infancy. It was like adding a pinch of sugar to a fire, Gen:Lock was a way to make that dream come true and a lot sooner than I expected.

At the end of December of 2017, I spent a lot of my after hours time looking at the infancy of the concept of mixed reality. With Pokemon GO, we saw the power of augmented reality swept the world by storm. Since AR is more just overlayed on top of your world, it didn't truly come to life, you couldn’t walk up to a Pikachu and take a close up picture with them at the time. I wanted to go a step further. What’s the next step I need to make this happen?

I spent a lot of time working on how assets traveled through the pipe for the production of RWBY4 and RWBY5. Taking that with the knowledge of Unreal Engine I had previously, I started working on building a functioning pipeline to bring assets over to Unreal efficiently and without loss of quality. I worked with Apple ARKit system which had just recently released with no real applications out there yet taking advantage of its power. I brought Zwei from RWBY Chibi into Unreal and worked on the two first skills you teach a dog; sit and stay. It took a lot of trial and error, building formulas and starting from scratch again and again, until one night, Zwei learned to sit and stay.

I started laughing like I heard the funniest joke in my life, I’m not one of original members of the animation team, I remember watching the Ruby trailer back in Chicago while in college. I was a fan and to see a character from a show I both admired as a fan and loved as something I worked on, it brought the biggest smile on my face. Zwei was now in our world, I could see him, I could get close to him, I could walk around him. Then I asked myself my favorite question; what’s next?

The possibility of this tech just kept flowing through my mind and next thing I wanted to tackle was a tool to help see and review assets for the directors to be available to view and review before they even hit the pipe. At this point, other people in the office began to hear about what my crazy mind was doing those late nights. I showed Brian, one of our production coordinators and he immediately took my tablet and ran straight to Kerry with it. Then it kept traveling up in the animation team and I knew I need to keep pushing what was possible before anyone else can see.

At this time, I brought in another person to this, as he will call it, “fever dream”. Jarrett started volunteering his time after hours to look at ways to improve what was in front of us. It didn't take long for me to start corrupting him when he used to tell me “no, we can’t do that” to “oh wait, I have an idea”. Without him coming into to project, I would still be just writing ideas on a wall at 4 a.m and tinkering, pushing and building random ideas.

We brought in a new character and I loved that one late night, Gray took a selfie with that character and sent it up to the higher ups in the company. We wanted to continue to ask ourselves what’s next? What is our next step? We started bringing in short and small instances of sets, kind of like a Mario Party game board come to life, animated water, sounds, just pushing what was possible all on just a single tablet. I had one of my most “horrible” ideas because once it hit, it only took 5 mins to do in this pipe. Since I was using a rudimentary system of tracking to create what we know now as 6 degrees of freedom (tracking the position and rotation of the tablet) I could make a set I could make life size and walk around in this virtual environment.

Weiss’ bedroom was brought into engine due to its small size, the beautiful lighting work done by our animation post team and mainly cause of the giant window that looked out over the mountains. It was a magical moment, like I had ripped opened a hole into the fabric of our reality and now I am apart of the world of Remnant. It was then we knew that night, that the possibilities were really truly limitless. We kept redefining our work and I decided it was time to make that little dream in the back of my head possible. I found a super early concept of a giant mech and decided we need to see this happen. One late night, Jarrett, Gray, Koen, Kerry and myself were standing outside in the cold night in the middle of the parking lot, looking at this massive robot. Finally. That little dream that kept playing in my head became so close to reality in just one month. What’s next?

We continued to demo it in front of other people so they could see the tech and see how well our content could create this whole new way for people to interact with loved characters. I remember being in the mocap office where Gray and I was walking Gus through the application and just like everyone else, ideas kept flowing. “What if we did this?” “This would be cool”. They wanted us to pitch this to the top brass of the company. I was hesitant and nervous about it, but with my public speaking and theater background, I was going to have to do the talking, I sat in our little makeshift office that we used every night in the animation department and Koen would just rip into me to prepare me. Asking so many questions and aspects and to be confident. The tech speaks for itself. He reassured me that it would only be about 5 to 6 of them in a small little boardroom and I felt like I would be doing my best Charlie Day impression explaining a crazy conspiracy to others.

The morning of the pitch, I found out the hard way that it did not have 5 to 6 people and it did not take place in a boardroom. I walked into the miniature movie theater and walked all the way down to the “stage” at the bottom of the theater. Looking up at the blinding light of the projector I could make out easily 15 people. I had cut the video together the previous night  for everyone to see each of the experiences mentioned above and had my tablet with everything on it so I could have people experience it themselves. I knew with most pitches, most people would have a pitch doc with artwork and story outlines or an idea of how an application could theoretically work. I don’t think anyone was really prepared to see a working example.

Jarrett and I walked out of the room and we looked at each other and just screamed loudly. Like having a huge weight lifted of our shoulder, before we even got back to my car, Miles had slacked us both “Great Fucking Job”. I knew deep down that we did it, we were going to start doing this as kind of thing on the side but more officially. With the weight lifted, I could think more clearly. As good as that sounds, its not. It means that my mind is off to the races again to start thinking of that ever so sweet question. What’s next?

By March of this year, machine learning was something that began hitting consumers in waves and the possibilities of what that brought to the market. From computer vision, prediction and image classification, many developers began digging their teeth into different aspects for their use. For me, it was like adding peanut butter to my chocolate. I went back to that little meeting room space and starting planning out ideas for how we can start merging our tech to other areas other than animation.

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this yet, but Rooster Teeth makes some super cool merch. From t-shirts, posters, mugs, blankets, they make some of the best products. With movies like Ghost in the Shell, the Blade Runner series, and countless cyberpunk stories, we know the concept of immersive advertisement and how to gain more information and entice you to buy some products. For me, I wanted people to be able to see this awesome item and learn more about the content, and know exactly where to get it. Luckily, I knew just how I could achieve that.

We were both waiting for the results of our initial pitch and still riding that wave of adrenaline from the experience of the pitch. Instead of idling our thumbs, we went to work. We began working with both Tensorflow and CoreML in order to begin development on image classification, and started training multiple models to handle this issue. I started work natively in XCode to work with the bare roots of ARKit in order to integrate the models easily and also still have our AR work as intended.

We started with posters because they were vastly complex compared to other things available to us. In just a few days, I had one of the RWBY posters able to be detected on a phone. In just under a week, I was able to spawn a “TV” on the poster showcasing the RWBY 4 trailer. After that, I was able to have a second TV pop up with touch screen controls that would link directly to the product on the store.

One of my favorite memories about this project was when I started working on shirts, I had to find people around the office who was wearing our merch that I could make them stand awkwardly without telling them what was happening. I saw Cesar, one of environment artists for RWBY, wearing an older shirt and thought to myself perfect. I trained the image classification to detect his shirt, I asked to him to turn around in the kitchen and just stand there. From there on, Cesar became our unofficial model for all of our content. You can see that footage exactly in some of the demos on both our websites.

We sent in that footage to our internal marketing team and it kind of kept that flame alive in everyone’s mind. Everyone knew what we were doing. The only problem was that we were still waiting for feedback on our pitch. Still no idea what we are doing with this tech. By now, RTX was starting to ramp up planning for the Animation Festival, We knew that we were planning something big for RTX this year in order to show everyone this tech and we needed to be on the ground floor for the planning. We joined up with the planning team runned by members of Screw Attack and we worked hand in hand with them in order handle traffic, event planning and marketing. I had one goal in my mind and RTX was the perfect stage for it. Everything has been practice to this point.

It was time to see that mech walking around downtown Austin.

By May, we got the word. We were being pulled from Animation in order to be allocated to a special projects team of just the two of us working directly under Gus. We started planning out what we would be doing for RTX in Austin and to create something that was portable enough to be taken elsewhere for other conventions. It came down to the idea that we wanted to immerse the user in the world of RWBY, have them explore the full expo at each location, and be able to share their experiences with others. So the RTX Experience was ready for production.

I switched our production to the Unity engine in order to have a deeper control of the engine, finer controls over the assets and Unity’s quick adoption of updates to ARCore and ARKit. While I still love Unreal Engine, I wouldn't use a saw to hammer in a nail. I spent time working with our animation art director for both Gen:Lock and RWBY in order to make sure I got the art style across. This required rewriting a cel shader solution and outline solution from scratch to match an art style beloved by people. We worked with various department for our icons that we used, I designed the UI and worked on assets and animation along with apple side of development.

One of the biggest things that we did was our interactive crowd simulation tucked away in a hidden room at RTX. We wanted to showcase what sets us apart from everyone else. As someone who worked in crowds for parts of 3, all of 4 and 5 and leading into gen:lock, I knew the logic, behaviors and how we can make a very immersive world. I brought the Menagerie set from RWBY 5 and we spent a month getting it right, from the amount of Faunus walking around, to the skybox and lighting. Jarrett seriously knocked it out of the park with his pathfinding and collision detection based on that crowd logic. Finally, when we were able to boot it up on an iPhone, characters would walk out of the way of you, you could move in physical space and it would reflect in this little window of this world.

Because of us working with Screw Attack in planning Animation Festival, we also lend a hand for the Rave saturday night. Chad had this amazing and horrible idea of having the RWBY girls perform in AR as the opening act, similar to a Miku vocaloid performance. We needed dance animation and Neither myself or Jarrett are light on our feet but luckily Chad had another idea that could work really well. Yssa, our lead 2D animator at the time was happy to do a new mocap the dance from RWBY Volume 2. I wanted to redo the mocap in order to test a new thing that was coming down the pipeline for us. Directing the mocap sequence was also something I always wanted to do and it was fun to finally do it. We decided to apply it to Ruby and two beowolves to act as back up dancers, knowing it would make everyone laugh. When the night came and the performance was shown, listening to everyone laugh and cheer something i'll never forget.

RTX was also going to be the premiere of Gen:Lock and its Holons (giant mechs in the show). I needed this dream to happen.

After digging around, I reached out to the developers at Mapbox, a company that specializes in open source mapping and included an integration to Unity. Jarrett work on the magic to adapt the same crowd logic to a world scale solution. Outside our new office over at Stage 5, we had a holon that could walk around Austin, but we hit a pretty big snag. We couldn’t get occlusion working as intended and with RTX the very next week, I had to do a hot swap. In about an hour, I swapped it to the giant Sea Serpent Grimm from volume 4, one of my favorites, and it flew around Downtown at the Austin Convention Center.

As for the Holon, I didn’t want to toss that work out the door. So as an incentive, If you found every item, went to every location, got your hands on the rave performance, you had a very special surprise waiting for you that would tower over you in all of its anime glory. So with RTX done, we did some minor things for London to include Camp Camp and RWBY Chibi. But after that, what’s next?

This is where we catch up to right now, What is next? While we had some projects in various stages of production, ranging from some pretty cool at home VR experiences, field VR (like you see at The VOID) to some major AR and MR experiences that I’m still holding on to . We did set up the foundation for some pretty cool live action work for virtual production based on the new Unreal pipeline I helped build for Death Battle. Hopefully you will start seeing some of that put into production very soon. As for the Experience Team, we went from a dream keeping me up at night, to seeing our amazing community posting their findings and taking pics with their favorite characters. While my time with Rooster Teeth is coming to an end for now, I’m always going to be proud with the work I’ve done with Animation, and with creating the Experience Team.

Let’s go find out what the next chapter is.
