Hey gang, we’re back in the Downtown of Bleepbloopopolous and we’ve gotten down off the top of Geoff’s house and headed for the entry plaza to take the other path that will eventually take us to the residential area of the city.

    ---

    TUiKIF4.jpg

If you think that was a long sentence, you might want to look at the “Tallest” Towers located by the gate.  It was a fun contest that went awry quickly.

    ---

    MMUPvBs.jpg

As a part of expansion quite a bit ago, there was a field added for the major residences’ horses.  The Bleepbloopopolous Green has a few new things from the updates that have come to Minecraft since the last time we were here.

    ---

    rRAuXQ5.jpg

The first addition is the Green is the Walk of Flags.

    ubPI0Sf.jpg

Each major resident has their own custom banner on their indicative color as yet another means of identification and/or claim.  From right to left: Geoff has the Orange Crowned Diamond on Green – Gavin’s symbol is the Golden Creeper Explosion – Jack has placed a House on his Orange Banner – Michael has the Sword of Mogar over a Light Blue backing – Ray has an X of Rose Vines over the man’s Brown – The Mad King Ryan’s symbol speaks for itself over the Red from the blood of his enemies – and Jeremy has the trappings of Rimmy Tim on his Magenta – And there’s room for more!

    HNE3ZvJ.jpg

There are other flags as well that we may see again down the line.

    ---

    J3sITxk.jpg

The Bleepbloop Stables haven’t changed much since the last time we came by.

    Qn1k1Hz.jpg

A small Llamma farm has also been added to the Green for convienence.

    ---

    mwyyWth.jpg

Now we finally get to travel over The Bridge Downtown (and not to the seedy goings on underneath.  (No, they don’t trade seeds there.)

There isn’t any reason to explore the condemned house dug into the rosy hill.  It’s kind of a shitty place anyway.

    ---

    i1dDsmv.jpg

Opposite the condemned house is Jack’s house, which we will be visiting.  It’s a very standard way to see how the other 5/6 live.

    ryND92L.jpg

    kOtDj4p.jpg

Because there’s no Trials skin on PS4 The citizens of Bleepbloopopolous built a Fire Station and statue of Jack to help him with the problem he had with his house catching on fire all the time.  It was very nice of them.

If you take a right at the end of that road you’ll find probably the second most opulent house in Downtown Bleepbloopopolous built over the ruins of the other one built in the Rose Hill.  That’s Jeremy’s house and it’s full of twists and turns!

And if you thought the Pleasure Chamber and the Winchester Beotch Room were strange, Lil’J himself has expanded in his down time.

    xVqhkje.jpg

    LteeqvJ.jpg

    mBYSjM9.jpg

    pGZc8hh.jpg

And there’s even more secrets, but we don’t have the time to give them all away so let’s instead go outside to where Jeremy keeps his horse and Purplur Plant.

    iHOtWWE.jpg

After that segment of the Downtown we’ve got to call it a day, but there’s plenty more coming soon.  You can take that to the bank.

    See you then,

Hey Gang, I want to thank you for your patience first.  I know it’s been a while.  Around a half a year, while, but in that time I was doing quite a few things, and you’ll be happy to know a new and improved Bleepbloopopolous Travel Log was among them.  With new pictures directly from my PS4 and some time working around the many regions that an expanded world has allowed me to start, we’re not only ready to start back up on our tour of Achievement City as if one guy built it on a Sony console.  I’d say it’s about time that we have to.

    ---

    x3sQTeF.jpg

We’ve gone back to the main gates.  We’ll be starting over in a sense.  When we last left off, we’d done an entire region and were going to do a change log.  In a sense we’re also just going forward with that.  You can think of the next set of entries as yet another change log. One huge change log…  I’ll let you make the jokes.

    ---

    xAGhqTN.jpg

    3ned3D8.jpg

I should get rid of those signs and this door.  We need a way in.

    ---

    ppwkqjX.jpg

The area right inside the gates hasn’t changed much, just a tad more color and work on the map wall.  Since the nature of this set of logs is a Region Recap and not introducing much new, I’m going to cut back on descriptions.  This entry clocking in at 52 images itself is a factor in that decision, but the way I see it we’ve covered most of this already.  If you have any questions at all though, feel free to add them in the comments bellow.

Just like when we started, we’ll be checking out Geoff’s Court and Geoff’s house first.  Geoff’s Court (where the games for Geoff’s kingship take place) has also gotten a few new details added, including Geoff’s Banner.

    xX7JHD3.jpg

    woGr7hW.jpg

    755h5mc.jpg

Though decommissioned and memorialized, Plan G is still very much a part of Geoff’s front lawn.

    kAksIPA.jpg

The forbidden tunnel is also located in Geoff’s court, none who have gone all the way through have ever returned.

Tough technically it is all a part of Geoff’s Court, Geoff’s house starts on the other side of his flowers and doors.

    ---

    m0usuvF.jpg

Geoff’s house in Bleepbloopopolous has always been much more decorated than the one in the branded sister-city.  His many trophies and items from past games line the walls.

Yes, even Butts is still a part of Downtown (though I haven’t activated it in quite a while because the clean-up is tricky).

    ---

    fFyeGYd.jpg

If Geoff’s throne is the height of power in Bleepbloopopolous, I feel like I have to remind us that Geoff’s house is also the highest place in Bleepbloopopolous literally too.

    CcdY6z2.jpg

    ---

    fv3mbdm.jpg

First we must go down though.  Down, under, and out to find all the secrets of Geoff’s house (that I’m going tell you about now).

Going up Geoff’s house is a true way to see how Bleepbloopopolous has changed, there are many markings that remain though growth has re-defined many of them

Above the throne Geoff might think is just his ceiling and the stairway to it, but unbeknownst to him, the other citizens of Bleepbloopopolous made some mischief.

    Win1tiD.jpg

The super fancy apartment at the top of Geoff’s house is a relatively new addition, with all the space for six and tones of clicky-tacky decoration.

From the top of Geoff’s house you can see everything.  Just over the edge is the rest of Downtown Bleepbloopopolous, the Carnival, some of Bleepbloop Forest, and our first canon view beyond the Old Bleepbloopopolous Fence.   But that’s not all I meant.

    ---

    Ck1S86v.jpg

The top of Geoff’s house has the ender canons that can take you any direction and quite far away.

    Tgzxw6H.jpg

And that, my friends is just a taste of what Bleepbloopopolous looks like now.  I’ve gotta tell ya, it’s great to be back.  I can’t wait to show you the other things I’ve built and finally get back on track to the other regions.  Thanks for joining me.  Please, leave any comments or questions below.

Next time we’ve got fewer pictures but more ground to cover and a good chunk of the residences (of many qualities).

    Have Fun,

  • Rooster Teeth and Red vs Blue 14th Anniversary Special Post: Issue 2 of the "Red vs Blue: REC0VERY" Speculative "Preposal" Script for a Fan Comic

AgentWashingtub008 FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold Crackpot of Coffee

Guys, I can't really describe how important this company and this show (and the community that has formed around it) have become for me.  It's a home I can always come back to.  It's a sense of continuity no matter where I go.  It's been an example and an inspiration for me in my writing and the things dedicated people can create.

So instead of rambling in that vein I'll continue to show you a small thing that I've created in thanks and response to Rooster Teeth and Red vs Blue.  I haven't only been sitting on Issue 1 for a while.  I plan on finishing the scripts (two more is the most likely scenario) soon, but the back-to-back release of the first half is what I've come up with as my original contribution to the celebration.  Who knows what kinds of fun I'll jump into tomorrow with what you all have to offer.

As always your feedback is appreciated.

    -----

LAST TIME ON THE PAGES OF RED VS BLUE: REC0VERY

    #TellYourRvBStory

This is a treatment for a mini-series of comics set around a story of RvB.  It is based largely around what I think happened but set in a way trying hard not to confuse continuity.  It’s a little hard.  This is very informal in that I do not know if it will ever go far beyond this computer.  It is a fan work done as an exercise and in appreciation of Rooster Teeth.  All comments in note sections are meant to be casual and entertaining.    Though a frame story is present it covers the beginning of Agent Washington’s career in the Recovery Program and ends around the same instance that began the BGC and Wash’s full time as RecoveryOne

Since this is based off of a web-series filmed in Halo, the actual look of things is pretty obvious.  It’s Halo (specifically things will all (unless otherwise noted) be Halo 2 style things as that is the armor Freelancers had up until the events of Recovery One where Wash and South were able to get Halo 3 armor from PF or other military sources (and all of the Sim Troopers upgraded around that time too).

If I was doing the art it would be fully and accurately colored people with backgrounds largely shades of one or two colors and important objects being fully colored too.  Also I’m thinking heavy lines in a Jack Kirby style or like Lichtenstein.  The reason for this pop-art approach is because it hasn’t been done in RvB before, I love it, and I imagine Wash would be a fan.  This is his story.

The following notes are present because I don’t know if everyone knows how a comic script works.  I certainly didn’t when I first read one (highschool).

I think it would be best if odd pages were on the right, starting with page one on its own, and even pages were on the left.  The reveals and paired pages have been designed in this format.

Though I’ll lay out what I plan on panels looking like most of the time, the standard will be a two across and three down grid.  Things like how wide or narrow a certain panel is in my mind will be addressed in the Panel Discription.  Also, for quick reference I will label panels like this 1-2-1 for page one, panel 2, row 1.  That panel would, in the six grid, be in the top right corner.  The panel in the bottom left would be labled 1-5-3.  This is a spec script, I understand things would change.  Speaking with the artist about layouts would determine their final placings.

The phrase “bubble break” means that the dialog is in two seperate comments in connected bubbles but not interrupted by a second speaker.

    More Formatting notes:

-Bold things are present to help locate important information.

    -Italics will be author notes.

-Things in [Brackets] will be panel or art discriptions.

-Character lines will be presented with the character name above otherwise marked text.  If it is a narration box that will be implied after the colon (:).  All lines in the panel will be presented in the order they are said/probably should appear in a left-right up-down manner and if a character has multiple lines in a panel, that means multiple bubbles seperted as they have been in the script is intended.

-Bold, italics, or any other format IN a character line is meant to be reflected in the speech bubble.

I see each character as having unique speaking/narration/saying-things-off-page boxes.  Here they are, and unless noted for one reason or another I see AI’s having techy-looking font and people having more organic looking ones (like Courier and Times New Roman but other pairs are fine).  Also Characters (especially AI) having colors in their speech bubbles is something I’d be fine with but it’s more work and ink than is “necessary.” This list is presented as Text Color on Box Color.

WASH: Yellow on Gray (Perhaps differentiate Past Wash with this and “Present” Wash with Yellow on Light Blue)

    INTERVIEWER: White on Olive

    DIRECTOR: Light Blue on Black

COUNCILOR: Black on Light Gray (Perhaps a Smoother font)

ALPHA: Light Blue on White (AI)

EPSILON: White on Light Blue (AI)

47-9ER: Gray-Blue on White (I realize there’s a lot of blues here but that’s half the show)

    FLORIDA/FLOWERS: Black on Cyan/Aqua

    FILSS: Blue on Black (AI)

WYOMING: Black on White (with a “British” font (Copperplate Gothic Light?))

    HARGROVE: Dark Gray on White

TEX: White on Black (AI (Wash knows so why not?))

    OMEGA: Purple on Gray (AI)

DELTA: Light Green on Dark Green (AI)

GAMMA: Light Green on Light Blue (AI (maybe even more computer (pixely)))

    SIGMA: Red on Orange (AI)

THETA: Red Pink on Blue Purple (AI)

    ETA: Aqua on Yellow (AI)

    IOTA: Yellow on Aqua (AI)

    MAINE: Brown on White

    YORK: Silver on Gold

    CAROLINA: Silver on Aqua

    NORTH: Green on Violet

    SOUTH: Lime on Lavender

    CONNIE: Light Gray on Brown

    VIRGINIA: Tan on Navy

    WEST: Brown on Navy

INDIGNAT MECHANIC: Rose Pink on White

RECOVERY FORCES: Their Accent Color on Dark Gray

PROJECT FREELANCER TROOPERS: Standard Black on White (they’re not really all that important)

And that, roughly two pages in, should cover what I’d like to.  Now we can get to the actual script.  Yay!

    -----Issue 2-----

    Cover

This issue is about a few departures and how Wash was left in the middle of things (and a few other things about loneliness and being left behind) so what I imagine as the cover is a large white background with Wash (Gray suit) standing in the center (looking down?) with Alpha (as just light blue outlines over white) as his shadow off to the left (Wash’s right) and Wyoming to the right (Wash’s left) and they both are facing away from him.

Obviously if the artist or others involved reads the issue and has a cool idea, we can work with that too,

    Page 1

As with the last issue this page starts on the first right page after the cover and something (a recap maybe or a cool thematic image) on the left inside of the cover  So all pages are odds on the right, evens on the left.  If there’s ads, just put them around non-splashpages or so they don’t ruin a reveal if they don’t have to.

[Page 1 is like the last first page, focusing on the conversation happening “now” between the INTERVIEWER and WASH (Blue suit and obscured face if his helmet is off (and I’m more leaning towards this option for a “twist” in the final panel of the final issue)).

Remember the room is a simple interview room from the USNC (I don’t know why but I always envision red-ish lighting but as long as it’s military I’m cool).  On the single table is a bunch of space future equivalents of tape recorders and casefiles.  There is a two-way mirror in a spot where (theoretically) someone could watch Wash but we don’t get any angles where we see his reflection (because of the twist).]

    1-1-1

[This panel is the top third of the page and WASH should be looking just a bit bored (twiddling his thumbs or messing with the documents.]

    Interviewer:

The next major recording of note is a little later and I believe it indicates things settled rather quickly, especially when it came to putting the Alpha into his safe location.  Would you agree?

    Wash:

I can’t be too helpful here.  The Alpha was always kept in the dark, but after the break-in they put him in isolation.  Apparently he was lethargic after brief contact with Tex-

    Interviewer:

[Interrupting WASH] Agent Texas was able to make contact with the Alpha during the break-in?  Why didn’t she take him?

    Wash:

Only The Alpha and Texas fully understand each other.  If she left him alone then the reason was good, I assure you.

Panels 2 and 3 split what remains of the page in half (vertically).

    1-2-2

[This narrow panel is over the shoulder of the INTERVIEWER]

    Interviewer:

And yet, she went to Blood Gulch…

    1-3-2

    [Flip shot over WASH’s shoulder]

    Wash:

You’re getting ahead of yourself.  A lot of things changed between the break-in and Blood Gulch.

    Page 2

    2-1-1

[Another montage page.  As the Director and Councilor talk, a scene of ALPHA running through a maze occurs where he once again slowly turns into EPSILON (becoming more light-blue and white than white and light blue).  His movements are purposeful, but he seems scared as well.]

    The Director:

    When will he be ready?

    The Councilor:

He is still preparing and we are running tests to make sure he even will be ready.

    The Director:

    But when?

    The Councilor:

The timeline is murky. At the moment there are just too many possible avenues to pin it down.

    The Director:

    We need him moved soon.

    The Councilor:

As soon as we can be sure things will go as planned, he will.

    2-N-N

[EPSILON turns around a corner and the shot switches to a front-on of WASH coming around a corner of a concrete wall in snow only to duck back immediately because of gunfire.]

    Wash:

    I think I’m pinned down.

    47-9’er: [over the radio]

    You think?

    Page 3

    3-1-1

[I see this panel as wider than the following one in the row.  A wide shot of Sidewinder full of troops, vehicles, and cover, like the opening of Reconstruction.  In the back you can just see WASH peeking out from behind a piece of the cover.  A tank is aiming at WASH.]

    FILSS: [over PA]

    Tank Lambda-zero-zero-eight firing main cannon.

    3-2-1

[WASH is engulfed in a tank-round sized glob of the pink paint from the training sessions in season 9]

    Wash:

    Son of a bitch.

    3-3-2

[The remainder of the page is a less-far-out shot of everyone abandoning their equipment and filing inside the MoI.]

FILSS: [Still over PA (in a text box in the top left corner)]

The simulation is now over, please proceed to your next duties.

[TITLES AND CREDITS are in the center or bottom left corner]

    FILSS: [bottom right corner]

Will someone please help Agent Washington out of the paint?

    Page 4

    4-1-1

[Back to the six-grid (sort of) and the first panel is of WASH in a room with a screen preferably.  I want this to feel like the flashback from Recovery One where Wash and the Councilor talked through the glass wall. He’s alone and flicking off some of the paint.]

    Wash:

    I hate that stuff…

    4-2-1

[The sound of a radio going off and the COUNCILOR come on the screen.  WASH acknowledges this but does not exactly stand at attention either.]

    The Councilor:

Agent Washington, how are you doing with your special training?

    Wash:

I am doing fine.  It’s an adjustment.

    4-3-2

[A shot of the screen with the COUNCILOR obviously probing, WASH’s line comes from the POV]

    The Councilor:

Would you say it is difficult to work on your own after all of the time with the team?

    Wash:

Not exactly.  I don’t think having a team would have changed much out there.

    4-4-2

[A side-long shot where the COUNCILOR and WASH can be seen]

    The Councilor:

Do you still feel like you have trouble communicating after the Epsilon incident?

    Wash:

    Not so much.

    4-5-3

[Just a shot of the COUNCILOR again with a furrowed brow]

    4-6-3

    [Same shot but he’s talking]

    The Councilor:

Than what would your “adjustment” be?

    Page 5

    5-1-1

    [WASH looking at the mirror/screen]

    Wash: [Drawn out]

    It’s really. Fucking. Cold.

    5-2-1

[The DIRECTOR’s voice comes through the mirror/screen, shocking WASH slightly]

    The Director:

I would say the same thing, Agent Washington.  It is a shame Agents Texas and York did not decide to crash our ship over the warmer simulation bases.

    5-3-2

    [Still WASH in the room]

    The Councilor:

Director, I would not encourage this sort of behav-

    The Director:

[Interrupting] I believe this is just Agent Washington trying to reclaim some of his old spirits.  I would not begrudge him of that.

    5-4-2

[A silent shot of the room again]

I want this moment to have something about Tex in it, or just to be hollow showing how in tune Wash and the Director have become.  His comment was meant to be probing.  If this was in machinima, a head tilt is all that would be needed.  Hopefully a mute panel will suffice.

    5-5-3

[(Over WASH’s shoulder?) The COUNCILOR is on the screen, shuffling his notes]

    The Councilor:

I- believe I have all I need to know for now.  You will run the equipment recovery simulation again tomorrow.  You are dismissed for the day.  And don’t forget to tell us if you remember any more of the break-in or what happened to you during the Epsilon Incident.

    Wash:

It’s just the same for now.

    The Councilor:

    Very well, Agent Washington.

    5-6-3

[Same shot.  The screen goes off with a click]

    Page 6

    6-1-1

[Cut to a wide full top third panel shot of the training room.  WASH is in the center  and facing away from the control room.  He’s in a training program like Carolina’s martial arts floaty circle one, but at more distance.  All the spinning targets are red.  WASH still holding his magnum out and “firing”.]

    6-2-2

[A face-on of WASH, still aiming. FILSS’s voice is coming through the PA, coming from off panel.

    FILSS:

Agent Washington, you have successfully gone through several full cycles of this marksmanship test and your handgun’s clip.  Would you like me to vary its speed or change the rotation?

    Wash:

    No thank you FILSS.

    6-3-2

[A wider shot of WASH from the side, still poised to fire.]

    FILSS:

It has been found that mastery of a specific course can become damaging to a soldier’s ability to improvise.

    Wash:

I am not doing this to get better at shooting.

    FILSS:

Do you find this process therapeutic?

    6-4-3

[WASH lowers his gun and turns to face the control room.]

    Wash:

    You sound like the Councilor.

    FILSS:

    I am sorry.

    Wash:

    You don’t need to be.

    6-5-3

[WASH lets his gun go down to his side.  He’s not as tense anymore.]

    Wash:

FILSS, do you have any knife training programs?

    Page 7

    7-1-1

[A wide shot of the training room again, but this time there’s mechanical noises as hard human-shaped targets come out of the floor on tracks to replace the glowing targets.]

    FILSS:

Certianly.  Melee combat is something the Director encourages all of his soldiers to become proficient in.

    7-2-2

[A case rises out of the floor next to WASH accompanied by mechanical sounds.  It is covered with knives.]

    FILSS:

Would you like me to run the tutorial program?

    7-3-2

[Wash POV as he picks out a knife]

    7-4-3

[A bottom-third panel that’s a silhouette of WASH, the knife being thrown, and a target.]

    Page 8 and Page 9

    8-1-1

[Show the target with a knife straight through the heart.]

    Wash:

    I’d rather improvise.

    8-2-1

[The rest of page 8 and all but the lower right corner of page 9 are a big splash page back in the “present” interview room.  This follows the same pattern in this room and is up to the artist.  WASH and the INTERVIEWER are on either side of the table.  Show the records on the table.  Don’t show WASH in the two-way mirror.]

    Interviewer:

It would seem you were being kept in isolation too.

    Wash:

Well, yes, but that was just as much about me as the simulations.  Those of us on the leaderboard that were still alive were given missions while the lower forty were completely moved to simulation duty.

    Interviewer:

     The scattering of assets.

    Wash:

    Bingo.

    Interviewer:

Our records for each dispatched Freelancer are detailed except for Wyoming.  We only have that he was the last to leave of the higher ranking agents.

    Interviewer:

And a note that his departure caused an “un-explained outburst in Agent Washington” that is later attributed to your Post-Epsilon paranoia.

    9-N-N

[This panel is WASH staring into the middle distance]

    Interviewer:

Can you tell me about Agent Wyoming’s departure?

    Page 10

    10-1-1

[A similar shot of Past WASH in his quarters (sparse like the last one, he just moved in).  This WASH is also lost in thought.]

    10-2-1

[WYOMING leans in through the door.]

    Wyoming:

    Knock, knock.

    10-3-2

[We’re in a “memory” now, the same fuzzy AI-scape from the parts at the beginning of each issue.  ALPHA is banging on a closed door with a Gamma computer panel nearby.]

    Alpha:

I need to get through…  I need to get through…

    10-4-2

[Similar to previous.  Gamma’s dialog comes from “nowhere” it’s still a dialog balloon, but not with any directional indication.]

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    10-5-3

[ALPHA stops trying to open the door and looks around]

    Alpha:

    Hello?  (Bubble Break) Who’s there?

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    10-6-3

[ALPHA looks around more, panicked.  I imagine a closer shot.]

    Alpha:

Who’s there? I need to get in!

    Page 11

    11-1-1

Page 11 is four quarter-page panels.

[A new, more manic angle on ALPHA turning in front of the door.]

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    Alpha:

Please!  Who’s there?  They’re on the other side!

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    Alpha:

    My friends are in trouble!

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    11-2-1

[ALPHA leans against the door, holding his head in his hands.]

    Alpha:

    Please, I need in!

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    Alpha:

    Who’s there?

    Gamma:

    HA-HA

    11-3-2

[ALPHA slides down the door to a sitting position.]

    Alpha:

It’s not funny!  She’s- They’re on the other side!

    Gamma:

    Knock, knock.

    Gamma:

    HA-HA

    11-4-2

[ALPHA is now in the fetal position.  His body and dialog formatting is now “glitching” into that of THETA.  Surrounding him and more a part of the background than actual dialog are Gamma’s “Knock, knock” and “HA-HA” bubbles.]

    Alpha/Theta:

    Please…  Help…  Who’s there?  Who’s there?  Who’s there…

    Page 12

    12-1-1

[Out in the MoI hallway, WASH has pinned WYOMING up against the wall.  WASH is breathing heavily.]

    12-2-1

    [WYOMING raises his hands.]

    Wyoming:

Woah, there mate…  I was just stopping by on my way out.

    12-3-2

[PF TROOPERS run into view.  They have weapons ready but not yet pointed at WASH]

    12-4-2

[A pulled out shot showing WASH letting WYOMING down.]

    Wash:

     I- I wasn’t expecting anyone.

    12-5-3

[WASH raises his hands, WYOMING dusts himself off, and the PF TROOPERS lower their guns.]

    Wyoming:

Nothing to worry about here, gentlemen.  David is just reacting to my natural stealth.

    12-6-3

    [WYOMING faces WASH directly.]

    Wyoming:

An AI can really can really mess with your head.

    Page 13

    13-1-1

[Back to the Interview Room.  WASH has turned to face the INTERVIEWER.]

    WASH:

I’ll tell you what I told the Councilor, in case you don’t have that.  Wyoming snuck up on me while I was sorting through the Epsilon incident in my head.  It caught me off guard and I became defensive.

    INTERVIEWER:

And is there anything else to add?

    13-2-1

    [Shot of WASH]

    WASH:

I never liked Wyoming and Gamma’s knock-knock jokes.  They brought back bad memories I wasn’t in a state to handle.

    13-3-2

[Full middle third shot of them both across each other at the table]

    INTERVIEWER:

    Memories from your missions together?

    WASH:

The punchlines were never good and he wasn’t as clever as he thought he was.

    INTERVIEWER:

And his lack of wit upset you?

    WASH:

It only ever made a bad situation worse.

    13-4-3

    [Silence at the table]

    13-5-3

    [Same as previous.]

    WASH:

Should we move on to the next file?

    Page 14

Page 14 has a panel in the top left that is the INTERVIEW ROOM and the rest I see as a very wide birds-eye shot of Freelancer City (Standoff (Halo 3)(with a gate that looks like Highground (as seen in Reconstruction)) It’s another roaming narration splash page.

    14-1-1

[INTERVIEWER is sorting through the documents and recordings on the table.]

    INTERVIEWER:

    Yes- Why don’t we?

    14-2-1

[The wide bird’s eye view of Freelancer City.  There’s activity and a lot of crates and a large group (30-60) of Gray PF Troopers (Recovery Troopers) off in an acceptable location in front of a bunker (and a make-shift stage as well).  All dialog is in narration boxes.]

    INTERVIEWER:

At the point which we’ve determined as when the Alpha was relocated there is very little documentation, but it seems to be after Wyoming and Florida made their departures and just before the relocation to an old mass communication facility on the simulation planet where Blood Gulch was.

    INTERVIEWER:

Around this time we believe the Recovery Force started in full.  Is this correct?

    WASH: (Future Blue Wash)

    Yes, it is.

    INTERVIEWER:

The next recording is from the Councilor, and one you might find very interesting.

    COUNCILOR:

Notes for the File of Agent Washington: Post-Epsilon Recording 57

    COUNCILOR:

Today we begin the next stage of reintegrating Washington into the Project.  Though his current disposition makes him the perfect agent to recover the equipment of fallen agents, there are still so many variables.

    Page 15

Page 15 is a series of panels closing in on the group of Recovery Troops coupled a piece of COUNCILOR dialog each.

    15-1-1

    COUNCILOR:

We are hoping that putting Washington into a position of leadership will either bring out his old personality traits or give us some idea of what the Epsilon fragment contained.

    15-2-1

    COUNCILOR:

Even in the containment unit at the new facility, Epsilon itself is only a mess of thoughts similar to the Alpha’s at the time of fragmentation.

    15-3-2

    COUNCILOR:

I believe that keeping Wash and Epsilon so close is a risk but the Director would like to see it out.

    15-4-2

    COUNCILOR:

He also believes that at the very best Washington will rise to his position of leadership and at the worst things will continue as they are.

    15-5-3

    COUNCILOR:

With the Alpha as well, it seems providing structured opportunities will be our modus operandi for a while.

    15-6-3

[This panel is the last in the zoom in.  The RECOVERY TROOPERS are in a few rows. In the 2nd row and not in the center of the group but in the center of the shot are three RECOVERY TROOPERS with TEAL, SALMON, and SAPHIRE (in this order in their row) accents (shoulder and helmet stripe (we’re in Halo 3 now for RECOVERY TROOPERS but WASH still has Halo 2 armor).]

    COUNILOR:

Post-Epsilon Recording 58: I certainly did not expect this.

    Page 16

    16-1-1

[A front view of RECOVERY TROOPER TEAL and RECOVERY TROOPER SALMON]

    RECOVERY TROOPER SALMON:

I wonder if we’ll get new armor.

    RECOVERY TROOPER TEAL:

    Really?

    16-2-1

[RECOVERY TROOPER SALMON and TEAL are now in a full conversation.]

    RECOVERY TROOPER SALMON:

Didn’t you hear?  Jimmy got a special promotion before we left that cold place.  He got this tight set of cobalt armor!

    RECOVERY TROOPER TEAL:

Sweet, I can’t wait to see what we get.

    16-3-2

[Pull out to show RECOVERY TROOPER SAPPHIRE chiming in.]

    RECOVERY TROOPER SAPPHIRE:

Guys, we just got new paint in this special ops dark gray.  Why would they go to all the trouble of painting our old suits if they’re just gonna give us new ones?

    RECOVERY TROOPER TEAL:

    But he just said Jimmy-

    RECOVERY TROOPER SAPPHIRE:

That’s one guy getting one set of armor for a secret promotion.  No one has heard from Jimmy lately, after all.  We’re several soldiers getting a new job together all at once after getting a new paint job.

    16-4-3

[The three of them are silent.]

    16-5-3

[RECOVERY TROOPER SALMON looks excited again.]

    RECOVERY TROOPER SALMON:

    Maybe we’ll get new equipment!

    Page 17

    17-1-1

[RECOVERY TROOPER TEAL shares SALMON’S enthusiasm. SAPPHIRE does not.]

    RECOVERY TROOPER TEAL:

Dude, that’d be awesome! I always hated the sights on my gun.

    RECOVERY TROOPER SAPPHIRE:

    Idiots...

    17-2-1

[The RECOVERY TROOPERS are shocked to attention.]

    WASH:

    GENTLEMEN!

    17-3-2

[Pull out to an over-the-shoulder pov of WASH addressing the RECOVERY TROOPERS from the stage. He’s up higher than them.  This panel is the remainder of the page and WASH’s speech is supposed to reminiscent of some of Church’s.  Orient it around the panel as you see fit.]

    WASH:

I bet you’re all wondering why you are here.  I won’t waste any more of your time and tell you.  You are here because after the Break-In on the Mother of Invention Project Freelancer has been going through changes.  These changes have included increased threats on our operatives and assets and the confidential nature of this project.  To combat these threats all of you have been selected to act as a safety net for those assets when necessary.  You have been selected because of your dedication to the Project, your skills, and your discretion.  I know this because I am Recovery One, and though we will be working for the same goals, we will not be seeing much of each other.

    Page 18

    18-1-1

[This is a flip of the last shot (and a full page panel).  We’re looking up from the group at WASH in the center of the stage and 47-9’ER is standing off to the side and back.  WASH at one point mentions her so he’s probably gesturing to her as well.]

    WASH:

You all were there during the attack by Agents Texas and York.  We were hit hard not only because they crashed our ship, but because we were attacked when we all were together.  We lost Agent Carolina that day and Agent Maine is still MIA.  So too are the traitors.  We have to learn from this incident.  If we were to continue to work as one our enemies can also take us out as one.  But if each one of us does their job together with the rest of us doing their jobs, we might have a chance.  Project Freelancer is spreading out to recover.  We will be agents of that recovery.  While Project Freelancer conducts its simulations in this system, we will be here to maintain those simulations.  We will clean up messes, retrieve sensitive materials, and above all else we will keep the secrets of Project Freelancer.  This [gesturing to 47-9’er] is the voice of Recovery Command.  She will be giving you your numbered designations today and all of your missions from this point onward.  Before I hand this meeting over to her I have one last piece of advice for you.

    [bubble break]

Trust yourself first.  Know why you’re here and act on that.

    Page 19

    19-1-1

[Back in the Interview Room, the page is similar panels of WASH and the INTERVIEWER]

    INTERVIEWER:

    And that was that?

    WASH:

     That was that.

    19-2-2

    INTERVIEWER:

You didn’t get any reprimanding for that speech?

    WASH:

What could they have done?  Demote me suddenly after introducing me to the Recovery Forces?  Contradict my completely honest assessment of the Project and our role in it?  Have someone other than 9’er babysit a Freelancer because he might be “unstable” at the same time we were being investigated?

    19-3-3

    WASH:

They put me in a corner, I put them in one.  Things went on with training from there.  And unless you have questions I don’t know if there is much more to say about that point in time.

    Page 20

    20-1-1

[The INTERVIEWER looks through his documents.]

    INTERVIEWER:

No, there’s nothing more about your training I need clarification on, but in my research I came across another interesting instance without much documentation.

    20-2-1

    INTERVIEWER:

The first two recovery beacons came from two very different sources and shortly after one another.  Agent Florida’s recovery beacon was sent out and your Recovery Corps were sent to deal with it but that was only after you went after the first Recovery Beacon to go off.]

    20-3-2

[This panel takes up the middle third of the page and goes into the past.  Wash is alone in his bunk room.  It’s his down time and I’d figure he’s messing with a knife.  Clearly lost in thought.  A silent panel.  With a dark/blue tone/pallate]

    20-4-3

[Wash is shocked, giving a jump of fright.  His knife goes flying.  This panel has bright/red as the tone and palate.  The sound effect should be dynamically placed.]

    Sound Effect:

[As best as I can approximate the Morse Code-like sound of the Recovery Beacon.]

    De-dede-deee!

    Page 21

    21-1-1

[This is a half-page panel of WASH loading up a HORNET with supplies in an Freelancer City hanger (it’s early morning).  47-9’ER is standing by, giving him instructions.  She has a tablet to reference.  It’s not necessary and should be very subtle but if we can see it, the tablet reads:

-Recovery Beacons ACTIVE for Agent Virginia and Agent West Virginia-

Mission Priority: Recovery of Agent Virginia and Agent West Virginia’s Equipment and Data Logs.]

    47-9’er:

They’re pretty isolated out there. The Hornet will get you through the mountains easier than a Pelican..  You shouldn’t have a hard time finding the place, but a storm’s coming, might make landing difficult.

    Wash:

    Great…

    21-2-2

[We’re pulling out from that shot to behind the Director and Councilor, who are watching from a catwalk.]

    47-9’er:

I’ll brief you on more of what we know in the air.

    Wash:

I guess I better get going then.

    Page 22

[Page 22 is a big splash page with a head-on view of WASH flying his Hornet away from the rising sun and Freelancer City.  It’s the big “Cowboy heading off to the pass” kind of shot.]

    INTERVIEWER: (Narration box)

I’d like to know about what happened when you went after Agents Virginia and West Virginia’s recovery beacon.

  • 008 Update #20- The Implications of Pvt. Jimmy’s Reveal (A “Theory” Journal for Posterity)

AgentWashingtub008 FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold Crackpot of Coffee

As a part of the Why I’m Here Promise, here’s a whole brew of crackpot for you guys today!

So, we learned the shocking truth behind Private Jimmy’s origin, end, and relation to the Break In and Church in general this season.  In 90 seconds so much was revealed that I’m still realizing things.  The following is a list of all of the things, some of which are quite obvious and some of which are a lot bigger than they seem to be.  There’s also some questions I’ll try to answer at the end.

-This is How it is Possible to be Killed With Your Own “Skull”

So, I’m no stranger to the camp of theorists on the site who work with the varying degrees of AI imprintation with the host (I live there you could say).  While I’ll address a few more details on this concept later, this is one of the most visceral version of the process, and it actually makes the old joke physically possible because “physically” it never happened at all.  We heard the drill and Jimmy shouting “my skull.”  Jimmy’s skull was actually damaged during the forceful implantation of Church AI unit.  Very obviously they did not mean to kill Jimmy during this process in the sense of his body failing so I reckon there was an aweful lot of science behind how breaking his skull wouldn’t end the host body’s life.  However, between the broken and aggressive state of the Alpha during the process and the obvious brain damage done to Jimmy, he is more or less dead by the time Church wakes up.  Some residual memories and possibly some quirks remain but as Flowers himself says, Church more or less took over.  Jimmy essentially was killed inside of his own skull.

-This is Why “Church’s Body” Decayed and “Smelled Bad”

So, this is pretty obvious and it’s a question we’d had pretty much since season 6 revealed Church was an AI.  I always thought it was just something added to Church’s android for the sake of the simulation, but this is much darker and cooler.

-The Skull Throughout All of the BGC Was Supposed to be Jimmy’s

At this point I’ve watched the commentaries on my RvBX set (and 11-14) to the point where they’re more a stream of fun facts in my head then they are tied to any particular season if they aren’t one single instant.  So please forgive me for not remembering when in the BGC commentaries they started referring to the skull as Jimmy’s.  But they did.  It was funny at the time.  How did it get there? It’s absurdist humor, it doesn’t have to make sense But now it still is kinda funny and it makes sense.  Jimmy’s body was in the canyon, it only makes sense that his skull was there too.  Except…  Who took it out?  Originally this was going to be in the questions section but there’s no concrete answer and no way I particularly lean.  Gut reaction, I’m calling Flowers.  I am of the mind that he was in recovery mode when he needed to be during the simulation, and at all other times (because he’s so nefarious) he was doing the things the Director needed him to do and sometimes screwing up.  Jimmy’s skull is probably worth something to PF, he just excavated it and left it behind because someone almost found him out.  It’s very possible.  But there’s just as much reasoning to Tex (who knew everything from the beginning) taking Jimmy’s skull for similar reasons.  Or any of the other Recovery forces.  It could also have been Gamma and Wyoming.  Or Sarge desecrating the grave of a blue.  Even Doc/O’mally (who you all know I think was working for Hargrove) could have gone after Jimmy’s skull in search of the Alpha’s hardware.  The point is, there’s a whole lot of options and this is loose ended, but you should go back and watch the whole series (or BGC) with this in mind.

-This is Why Church Remembers Jimmy’s Death in a Vague Version of the Break In (And Why It’s At Sidewinder)

We saw this play out, the last thing the Alpha remembers before waking up merged with the last thing Jimmy’s broken brain remembers as everything was sorted into something the Alpha would accept as reality (even if it didn’t seem physically possible).  But to just line up the facts, Church remembered Tex fighting in the snow and Jimmy remembered dying at the hands of a freelancer in the snow.  The relationship of Sidewinder and the downed MoI is still nebulous but we can at least assume they merged some in Church’s mind.

-This is Why Church Seems Younger than the Director

Okay, this one is a little more detail work than what’s come before.  Think about it, the Director is a man with a grown daughter at the time he created the Alpha.  It makes sense that he’s obsessed with his deceased wife and often people don’t think of them self as quite as old as they are, but to still be in the mindset of the young man he was when his wife died (roughly two decades prior) is odd.  The revenant of his wife being that old, perfectly logical.  Now though, it works because odds are Jimmy actually was that old, if not younger.  He was still a private, but in a secret military project so he’d probably gone through all of the training he could.  He’d be an accomplished young man in his field, like the director was, so the blanks were filled in and Church was set around Tex’s age in his mind.

-This is How Church has “Living” Memories Outside of the Director’s Residual Ones

Like some of the previous points, its clear some of Church’s mental state was from Jimmy’s memories slightly contaminating the pure mind of the Alpha.  This is further information to be stored with my imprintation theories.  It’s a very interesting take on how it happens to an AI.  The Alpha took almost complete control but little bits of Jimmy came in and were not only assimilated as quirks (ala O’mally or Delta) but actually effected the memories of the Alpha (kind of like how Epsilon’s initial reaction to Washington is to remember pain and throw up defenses).

    -Who Was Private Jimmy?

One of the ultimate ironies of a series where memory is such a key element is Flowers’s line about how people will remember Private Jimmy’s integral contribution to Project Freelancer.  From what we can tell, he was a private within the Project with knowledge of its true nature (or at least the real title) so he clearly wasn’t a Sim trooper.  My guess is he was a security agent or construction crew* who was a part of how things were set up for the later half of PF and  was recently promoted out of his white ODST’s and into a cool blue suit.  He may have been a fairly competent soldier too.  In the end though, we’ll never really know.

-What is the Line Between Church and Jimmy?

From what we’ve seen and deduced so far the personality difference between Church and Jimmy in what we see of him is probably 97:3 Church vs Jimmy.  Just enough Jimmy came through to make Church unique.  Remember, Jimmy was essentially killed by the insertion process.

-What is the Line Between Tex and Jimmy’s Girlfriend?

This is more murky.  A whole lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon that the more… Promiscuous Bitchpants McCrabby instances of Church’s memory are of Jimmy’s girl back home.  I’m less inclined to think that because of how much Church obsesses over Tex and how little I think Jimmy’s influence is on Church.  However, there could be some credence to it, and also consider how hyperbolic Church can be at times.

-Does AI Imprintation Have Physical Effects on the Host?

I think so.  This situation does make those claims have more weight though because of one long running joke that I’m going to throw into my crackpot and see what brews.  Jimmy is a trained soldier who’s an actual part of the experimental program and probably is skilled.  We know simulation troopers have had physical “failings” that wouldn’t meet military standards.  But a real soldier should meet those standards.  One standard is eyesight.  You can have glasses and be a soldier, but Director Leonard Church has said for official record that he “did not have the opportunity” to fight for humanity.  It’s not just his brain that made him the city scientist who wished he could be a cowboy.  I think the director’s eyesight was so impaired that he simply did not make the cut as a field operative sometime in basic.  This would mean he’d be a horrible marksman.  The Director would be.  Would Jimmy?  Well, it seems like Church is when he’s in Jimmy’s body.  How and why?  Well, stick with me.  When the identity of Church was being finalized in that quick moment when Church remembered Tex and Jimmy, I think one of the loops his mind made was the following: I am Church.  I am human.  My origins as a human mind has bad eyesight.  I have bad eyesight.  From that, the new Church mind did an extreme psychosomatic overhaul and made his eyesight worse.  This was now a part of Church’s mindset now so the Alpha now belived this as a “ghost” as well.  It is what he knew to be true.  It’s a bit of a stretch, but it’s something that occurred to me one afternoon while playing around with my imprintation ideas.

-How Did “Pvt. Jimmy Was Here” Get Written Inside the Wall Dividing Vallhallacagigit and Its Command/Observation Structure?

This is another easter egg/joke that brings us to a crossroads.  The easy answer was he was there.  He was present while Val Halla and/or Freelancer City were being built and placed his mark while the wall was still being built.  It’s easy enough to accept, though it does mean that that wall was built before the prequels from this latest season.  If not, it is just another joke to write off as just that.  Who knows?  (Miles?  Burnie?)

    -Is Jimmy Still Alive?

No.  This is easier than claiming that Maine/Meta/The Meta (all separate characters) are dead before we got the conformation in the third act of season 13.  We have no idea about Flowers being in/out of recovery mode for quite a while, but he has some things working for him that are working against Jimmy.  Jimmy’s body suffered severe physical damage from the tank shot and the stone wall no more than a yard behind him.  Then, even if his suit functions still worked to put him into recovery mode, I highly doubt those life-support systems would function for the length of time Jimmy’s body was confirmed to still be up on the cliffs in the un-setting Blood Gulch sun.  We also have the evidence of the body beginning to smell to consider.  I also don’t think it’s physically possible to survive the removal of the skull and we’ve covered that the skull was supposed to be Pvt. Jimmy’s.

And there they are folks.  Three pages of implications from 90 seconds of the show.  What do you think?  Is there anything else that Church being in Jimmy’s body for that time period that you realized changes how you look at the series thus far?  Tell me in the comments.

Now, this post was originally meant as just its own post and a forum post, but it got to update length so I’m going to go ahead and roll with some segments.

    Bleepbloopopolous Progrous

This isn’t anything super major in terms of the Travel Log series.  I’m still waiting for images to be re-implemented for Edge or something I discover after the point of this segment.

I’m getting a PS4!  This means I’m going to be pushing Bleepbloopopolous onto the cloud soon to be pulled onto my new system.  Then we’ll get a bigger map.  And I’ll try to squeeze in some further building.  I’ll give you all a preview though.  Cake walk is bullshit and will be reflected in the playstation one-man-crew version of the location.

    008 Question Day Plug

There has been a change in the usual plan.  Question Days are now monthly instead of weekly and I’m taking question submissions from the 1st to 25th of each month and I will post the answers and ask you your return questions sometime between the 26th and the first of the next month.  If you want a more detailed version, check it out here.  We've only got one so far.

I Have Less Words about RWBY

I am loving this season so far.  Neat twists and character introductions but the progression is just fun.  In case you’re worried, no I haven’t given up on theorizing on the show.  I just don’t feel like I have anything new to really work with now.  Ruby is a natural leader but naïve.  Weiss is dealing with her new and old morals.  Blake is being Blakey.  Yang is going through a process after such a major event in her life. Jaune has some interesting spiritual thing about him.  Nora and Ren have a past.  Cinder’s suffering.  Ozpin isn’t quite dead yet.  The White Fang is tricky.  The Vilians are up to something.  This is not to say that there is anything wrong with what’s going on, but it’s like theorizing in season 11.  Wash was up to something on the ship and boy were those grey dudes/ladies mysterious.  Can’t wait to find out.

    ---

Thanks for stopping by and induldging my crackpottery.  It was nice.

Hello again, my friends, I’m all set to start our journey beyond the city and the carnival. What lies ahead of us is the big Bleepbloop Forest and I’m prepped to cut through the trees with you.

    ---

It’s a long road ahead of us, so it’s a good thing I’ve got the map at the ready.

    ---

There’s a lot of interesting things on the road, there’s also forks and splits all over. CREATOR CORNER: Bleepbloopopolous is big, real big, and like the AH guys I have trouble finding my way around on foot from time to time. So, about a year into the build I decided to actually make an extended footpath from out of the central village. Now there’s an entire network of cobblestone and gravel over the map and it is one of the most infuriating accomplishments I’ve had in minecraft.

    ---

Taking the right fork will eventually take us to a small path up a hill, and that’s our first stop.

    ---

The top of the hill is a ways up, but has a great view of the surrounding area.

    ---

And here we are, at the watch tower of Bleepbloopopolous which has been around since the elder scrolls were written!

    ---

In front of the tower is a space to spar, forge mighty weapons, and harvest hearty potatoes.

    ---

Inside, the first floor is a genral recreation area where the heads of fallen mobs are mounted by the tricky spiral staircase.

    ---

There’s also a table and furnace in the back for the guardians’ nourishment and revilries.

    ---

The second floor is the bunkroom. All of the defenders of Bleepbloopopolous have their separate beds with room for more to partake. There is also a footlocker given to each person with a selection of equipment.

SPECIAL EDITION CREATOR CORNER: MY PLAY: So, this location serves two purposes in Bleepbloopopolous. First, I built it as the reference to the Out-of-World Skyrim Let’s Play episode. At the point when I made it (very early on) that mash-up pack wasn’t available (and as I have no attachment to the game I didn’t get it when it was released for PS3) so I couldn’t really reference the actual tower from the video very well. Instead I built a giant box! But I knew even back then that wasn’t enough. So I decided to add a little bit. The Let’s Play game I figured would play out like this: it’s a competitive co-op game. The co-op part is the world is set to night for an hour and the players stationed at the watchtower have to defend Bleepbloopopolous from the creatures of the Bleepbloop Forest. The competitive part is a value system of mob-loot that is in their foot-lockers and counted up at the end (like fishing jamboree). Players can do whatever they like in the night but the goal is to have the most mob loot so venturing far from the forest or mining too long probably aren’t the best ideas. They do have to make equipment once their first set is lost or used up.

    ---

Up top there is a Tower of Pimps celebrating the majesty of Bleepbloopopolous for all of the surrounding area to see.

    ---

There are many chests up on top of the tower, most of which have bows and arrows in them for defense of the tower and the city. There is an extra chest though…

As a last line of defense Ryan put a chest of water-buckets at the immediate top of the stairs. His cunning would flood out any offending parties from the tower and keep pushing them down the spiral staircase. It would be a perfect plan if he didn’t use it on his friends just as often.

    ---

The Watchtower stands guard over the Downtown and deserves to be our first stop in the woods.

    ---

We’re going to go back down the hill and to that weird arch. In this direction is even more interesting areas and also this path makes for an “efficient” tour. I assure you, there is a method to the order we visit these places in. We’re not just wandering through the woods.

    ---

On this way we’ll pass Gavin’s bench to feed bread (in the chest) to the chickens of the Chicken Pond. This is also our first of the Totally Necessary Bridges that cross the gaps along the Bleepbloopopolous roads. This one is fairly modest, made of oak and only three wide.

    ---

The road goes on to a fork and we’ll take a left back towards the southern coast.

    ---

The interesting sights continue to pop up if you look around. Why is this here? I don’t know, but it’s probably Ryan or Ray’s fault.

    ---

The trees eventually break at the top of hills and you’ll see a great view of the sea and another Totally Necessary Bridge.

    ---

The Birch Canyon Bridge covers a not-quite-trecherous gulch and offers a great view of the back of the Butts Dropper (and the Western Wall of Downtown Bleepbloopopolous). It is fine wooden craftsmenship with Lapis set into the supports.

    ---

Now there’s a few interesting stops on the other side that serve important behind the scenes functions of the way things work in Bleepbloopopolous.

    ---

The first is the Bleepbloopopolous Credits Monument. Smaller than the one in the Branded Sister-City this one has a much larger and comfier chair. The budget and time constraints allowed for it.

    ---

    ---

The Tower of Pimps at the top of the monument has been adorned with the names of the original six prominent residents as per a royal decree.

    ---

Down the hill there is the Bleepbloop Labs nestled on a peninsula.

    ---

We’ve been in the cold, sterile, and indestructible walls of the Labs before for segments, but let’s take some time to look now at all of what’s being figured out. Over there is the prototype for a golf-game (it needs some work but there is rumor of a far-off island where a course is already being constructed. There’s also a special mushroom built to test some skin issues of the recently added Mushroom blocks to creative. As you can see it has been fixed and as soon as the space is required it can be taken down like everything else in the lab.

    ---

This structure here has been built out of frustration. Dark Oak Saplings don’t grow, even with bone meal. The last thesis I have is that it might have to do with darkness levels so a big shaded area has been constructed for the sapling. It’ll be a waiting game now.

    ---

That’s about all the lab has to offer right now. We’ve covered a lot of ground today and we’re… still in sight of Geoff’s house. It’s a big ol’ world we’ve got to explore. I’m glad there’s plenty of time to do it.

    ---

Before we go, something down by the boarder fence has caught my eye. Let’s go check it out.

    ---

It’s foggy out on the water, but I’m pretty sure it’s Geoff’s hideaway for the Human Hit List game. It is! We must be at the most south and least east or west point on the map. The Human Hit List hideaways are all placed equidistant around the map you’ll remember.

    ---

It’s all primed for a new game here, with five names of five targets on the outer wall.

    ---

I’m gonna take a rest here now before we return to creep’n around the forest. Don’t go too far though, we’ve just started this leg of the tour.

    ---

We're back at it guys! How do you like the new presentation elements? Did you notice anything interesting in the background? Think you know what we'll visit next time? Feel free to comment about those topics or anything. I'm very excited about this region.

    Until next time,

    -008

  • Entry #19- Carnival Games Part 6 (The Long Ones)

AgentWashingtub008 FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold Crackpot of Coffee

Today, as we finish our little jaunt through the Carnival region, we’re going to round the corner behind CTT and see what’s back there.

    ---

    What the hell is that?

    ---

It looks like an Ufo blasting a devastating beam down from its docking station.

    ---

The door say’s that it’s Bumper boats. And that sounds like fun. The giant pillar of rushing water surrounded by fire and lava though, not so much. CREATOR CORNER: So, I’ve told you all before that the sign trick to suspend water causes game-crashing lag for me even at the other end of the map. SO, instead I changed this into a pillar of water that would definitely drown the victim of the game (to respawn appropriately) and if anyone gets any funny ideas about jumping out, the lava will take care of them. It also looks badass and imposing.

    ---

Once we’re inside you can see that there’s a lot of stairs that lead up to the top. A whole lot.

    ---

And now we’re at the top!

    ---

The Bumper Boat arena is fitted for eight player combat with uniquely colored ports ready for the major six residents of Bleepbloopopolous, and friends!.

    ---

It’s a great game, and a long way to the bottom.

    ---

Each port is equipped with multiple boats and sticks for extended play.

    ---

Now that we’re done seeing what’s up with Bumper Boats, we’re heading back down to the end of Wipeout to check on the last two sites to see in the Carnival.

    ---

Our penultimate stop is the Grounded starting points.

    ---

Each starting point has a chest with starting equipment and is marked for each individual player. The game is all about digging to bedrock and then all the way across the map. Players dig through the stone and then that cracked brick is there to let in water for safety after the first (inevitable) death.

    ---

Right in line with the starting points is this mysterious white pillar. Let’s investigate.

    ---

There’s a ladder. That’s obviously inviting us to climb up.

    ---

Hmm, why, it’s a mysterious hole telling us to flip a switch and promising a good time. That sounds like a legit thing.

    ---

The switch activates a super long circuit that belongs to the No-Glory Hole, as I believe it is called.

    ---

It does indeed stretch all the way up and down the east edge of the island.

    ---

All the way back at the top is both the switch-around and the Tower of Pimps in a boat that the winner of Grounded erects.

    ---

It’s a long way back and forth on this circuit, but it’s a nice view the whole way.

    ---

And in the end it activates all the pistons and gives me my good time!

    ---

That’s it for the Carnival Region tour. It’s been all fun and games here and we’re just getting started on exploring the wider world of Bleepbloopopolous! We’ve got a Change Log and Special Entry before we really start moving on, but now that we’re done, what was your favorite? There’s no segment today, I’m gonna wait here for my good time.

    Happy trails, guys!
