Which Console Will I Choose? With all the hubbub that has occurred this past week over video games and consoles, it's no wonder we have heard outcry, have been filled with excitement or disappointment, and/or are experiencing a wide spectrum of emotions. It seems with every new generation there is a cloud of negativity that follows. "This new console isn't backwards compatible? Fuck that" or "We are going to be limited to 'x' or 'y'" is never fun to hear from a consumer's perspective but apparently that's progress.
Regardless, my seemingly worthless two cents will be voiced. XBox One or PS4? Why not both?!? Right now I own a N64, a few Gameboys, I had a Wii...

Regardless, my seemingly worthless two cents will be voiced. XBox One or PS4? Why not both?!? Right now I own a N64, a few Gameboys, I had a Wii for a bit (a Wii bit....lol), a Xbox, Xbox 360, and a PS3. I would love to add to my collection with more games. I mean, we are gamers so why should be align ourselves with one party. "Xbox 360 is sooo much better than PS3" says that asshole who hasn't played a PS3. Both consoles offer great games and the difference between popular apps from system to system is quite surprising. For the record, I wish Xbox adopted the PS3's interface for Netflix. Netflix on Xbox has made me rage when it really shouldn't have.
This holiday season, I will pick up a PS4 first and Xbox One later down the road.
I am curious to see how many people jump ships. All I have heard, from real life friends and internet friends, is an overwhelming number of people switching from Xbox to Playstation.
What can Xbox do over the next few months to change my mind? NETFLIX PARTIES and a usable and not convoluted interface. When I check out a show, I ABSOLUTELY DON'T WANT TO START A FUCKING EPISODE. Why would anyone want to start an episode if they are trying to figure out where they left off in a series? Also, their "2 Free Games a Month" deal is a feeble attempt to contend with the PS Plus model. PS Plus has released Uncharted 3 (Single Player), LittleBigPlanet 2, XCOM, Deus Ex, Borderlands, Scott Pilgrim, etc. Hopefully, Xbox will offer something more current than Fable 3, Halo 3, and Ass Creed 2.
What can Playstation do to secure a day one purchase? NETFLIX PARTIES!!! You may be able to see where my priorities lie. Also, a chat system that rivals the XBL party chat. As of now, you can voice or video chat someone only in a specified app (maybe, it's hard to explain) and use game chat. There is no friend "A" plays Uncharted and chats with friend "B" playing Battlefield. Fix that shit Sony.
I am interested in your input (that's a lot of "in's" in that sentence). Are you buying just one system, both, or pulling one from left field and going full Wii U?
