RAWR! (With Music!) So, Since its been a year, it would be a rather enormous task to keep all those too lazy to delete me from their watchlists up on all of the happenings in my life of late.
But I'll update you on my musical dealings.
My old band, Axolotl, broke up. A somewhat sad time, but its ok, because the guitarist/songwriter was a fuck, the keyboardist didn't even like metal, and the bassist was at best mediocre and at worst a crazy fucking psycho betch that I used to date.
Here's a recording we did close to a year ago, before the break-up, to hear the direction we were taking things. For the record, the drum track is literally off a beat starting after the 2nd verse because of some serious editing fuck-ups we made in protools. I'm not so bad that I would play half a song offbeat. >< Oh right, we never got around to adding the bass track either. I am king of half-ass recordings. ^_^ On a lighter note, here is another song we recorded in the later days of Axolotl, a cover of N'sync's Bye Bye Bye.
Since then, I've formed another band with some friends. It includes one of the same guitarists and the vocalist from Axolotl, and is yet unnamed. We've got a few songs roughly written, though Teddy (vox) is slacking on getting lyrics written, here's a song we've got finished entirely except for the rest of the vocals. You get the idea though. Its recorded single mic, at around 5 AM (Teddy was tired, he doesn't usually have breathing issues like that in his screaming), and is perhaps only the 2nd time we were able to make it entirely through the song. Also, parts of the solo have been significantly tweaked to make it more impressive. Jordan (guitarist from Axolotl that isn't a fuckface) is getting quite good. Anyways, like I said earlier, I'm the king of uploading half-assed partially completed work.
Enjoy.
BTW, the new band isn't called Army of Darkness, we just name the files that as a tribute to the Evil Dead trilogy until we can think of a real name.
