Real Life Achievements: not just a joke
The town of Decatour, Georgia is considering implementing a virtual, MMO version of their town. The purpose is to help community members network and explore, and contribute to local culture. They're citing WoW and Second Life as inspiration. Yes, there will be unlockable achievements, which give you real coupons to be used in real-life businesses.
Let's hope this expands to other cities too. That would kick some ass.
