I'm not usually one to make a fuss but the audio on this is terrible.  It's a shame because otherwise it's such a funny video

I'm so close to just stop watching podcasts and podcast related material from RT. I have to crank the volume on every single piece of content released through broadcast.

Is it just me or is the audio on podcasts lately been really low. I have a little external speaker for my laptop and at full volume the voices are really soft and hard to hear if there is any ounce of background noise. The intro and outro sounds fine but listening to the conversations i feel like i'm forced to put headphones on :(

I mean SERIOUSLY folks! I Love Barbara & Mariel, But if RT HR even THINKS of getting rid of Texas, there will be tantrums thrown!

This conversation speaks VOLUMES to a truth that's been here (earth) for centuries. It's wonderful to be alive in these ever opening years,.. but sooo sad it took this long. (But happy to keep rewinding this episode over & over)

    Love, Light, Life!

I honestly don't understand why everyone is talking about bi erasure? It's not up to Mariel or Patrick to determine another person's sexuality... you can't just call someone bi because you look at their sexual history and determine them to be.

Man the bi erasure in this episode is rough. A guy dating another guy and marrying a woman isn't 'scandalous', its perfectly normal sexual experience. Bi people sometimes end up with people of another gender. I'm really disappointed at the straight/gay binary you employed. Bi people are here! Its perfectly common and normal!

Also, by saying that most people who are homophobic/discriminate against gay people are actually just 'repressing their sexuality' is really problematic as it shifts the blame for oppressive actions from straight people onto Other people.

More people should just accept that they're bi and go with it. Also, just because someone ends up married to a guy or a girl it doesn't mean they're not bi anymore, it just means they've found someone they love.

You can be bi and only date one person of your gender and all the rest are another gender and you're still bi. Don't worry about what other people think, you do you.

It's situations like this when I miss Meg working for Rooster Teeth, she's so open about her sexuality and will actively fight people who say anything wrong about bi people.

Now is as good a time as any to say, I've been in basically the same situation. I had a lesbian friend who went through a breakup, and eventually we admitted mutual attraction despite not having romantic feelings. We agreed not to let it get in the way of our friendship, and had... online... encounters, never physical. It didn't really affect anything and we've both moved on and stayed friends. She still wholeheartedly identifies as gay. So go for it. It may be awkward at first, but if you can handle it maturely, it'll be well worth it and help you both grow as people.

I think Texas hit it on the head when he said that everyone is a little bisexual. But I think the more accurately stated version is, "there's an exception to every rule." A guy may be predominantly straight, but he might come across that one guy that he connects with on an emotional level that wasn't present with other guys. That doesn't necessarily mean that he's "gay" or "bi" since it's simply attraction to this one guy rather than a general attraction to most, if not all guys.

A lot of this exists in a gray area since labels like "heterosexual" or "homosexual" or even "bisexual" are somewhat blanket terms attempting to outline someone's attraction in ALL cases, when an example like this really defies that convention. Even more fluid terms like heteroflexible or homoflexible are still a little over broad for a situation like this one where someone found their one exception to their previously conceived rules, but doesn't display that flexibility with others. How someone reacts to these rules and what happens when such an exception arises can lead to different outcomes, like someone repressing their feelings because their personal rules aren't really right for them, or a straight man having a homosexual relationship as a one time thing because he found the one guy that he can emotionally bond with in a way that wasn't present with other guys yet being perfectly able to go back to heterosexual relationships without any feeling of repression.

Sexuality labels are good for talking in general terms, but attraction is very much a case by case concept that can sometimes transcend such labels, such as what happened here. And in the end, attraction is really all that matters.
