Is The Young Pope entertaining or just catholic click bait? Where does the good stuff on Netflix end and the growing pile of trash they are making start? And is Jon Eskimo brothers with Ewan McGregor?

My date movies have always been thriller or horror films. Not for the outdated "I'll keep her safe from the silver screen monsters" nonsense. I actually just really enjoy those films. Like, The Purge or Cabin in the Woods are 2 of my favorite films. Where was I going with this? Just pick a genre and find a movie you agree you want to see in that genre.

I am now going to the movies every weekend because I feel like movie season has truly started. I saw Great Wall, Logan, LEGO Batman, Beauty and the Beast, Split, Kong: Skull Island, Resident Evil: Final Chapter, and Underworld Blood Wars all in the last month or so. Gonna see Power Rangers opening weekend too. Every weekend has a new adventure in store

odd movie that worked on a date Brendan Fraser's Monkeybone. It may have just been the bizarreness of the visuals mixed with our odd sense of humor but it was one of the best dates I've had and it wasn't just a lazy day watching odd films on Netflix

A surprising date movie is Would You Rather on Netflix. Its a B horror movie and I think its fun to guess and choose what you think will happen with whoever your with. Its a perfect movie to just sit at with a beer and popcorn and just laugh at the stupidity.

In regards to the what draws you to a movie, I have a TV show to recommend. Alongside Legion on FX, Taboo got my attention because of Tom Hardy as one of the creators, an executive producer and the main star. I loved him in Mad Max and The Revenant and was curious to see a TV show with him. I just finished the first season and it's fucking phenomenal. It can move slowly at times, but the mystery of Hardy's character is what kept me coming back and I'm glad I did.

Well I saw Star Trek Beyond in theater and we both ended up too invested in the movie to kiss, so there's a date movie for a really particular experience

Man Up (2015) with Lake Bell and Simon Pegg was a really fun movie. A similar sense of humour to In A World (2013), also a great movie.

My OH and I have watched Serenity (his choice), Blazing Saddles (my choice), and a lot of Star Trek (both of us). Surely the best date movies are the ones you know you'll both enjoy, or something you love and want to introduce to someone else?

when I was in college 10 years ago I would go see movies once or twice a week. (This was in Seattle) Since I have moved back home  (kalispell, Montana) I only go to movies that pull me in. Reason being the theaters are horrible and  unkempt. Last year all I went to see was Rouge one, Fantastic beast and The Arrival.

This show I love because you guys let people know what might be interesting for all groups of people. Keep it up Jon!

Most of the time these days when I see trailers, at the start of the trailer I'm like I want to see this, by the end of he trailer I'm like I don't need to see this anymore, I already know everything that happens, so annoying.

I would say that the reason filmmakers feel they have to put out so much promotional stuff now is because of the actual quality of the trailer. I need a trailer that actually tells me something about the story line. I /hate/ going into a movie totally blind, because I'm particular about what plotlines I see. If I see an actress I like, that's still not enough to get me to see a movie. I need to know what the plot is actually about for me to see a movie. And if someone asks me to see a movie I know nothing about, I immediately am looking for the synopsis or the summary or whatever is available, because I cannot and will not go see a movie I know nothing about. I don't have the time, patience, or money for that kind of thing. So, if filmmakers would make trailers that actually said something about the plot, they might not have to put out all this other promotional stuff.

I've watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with a girl before and she loved it. It's funny, it's tense, the characters are captivating. Admittedly you would have to gauge the dates sense of humour but if a girl likes that film, it's a good indicator of compatibility.

Loving this show so far. Movies are so much fun to talk about and seeing all the different opinions on them is really entertaining!

I try to see new films as often as I can but sometimes I've gotta budget when there are too many to see and money is short.Have you guys ever been in a predicament when there were too many movies too watch and you had to sacrifice one in order to watch another??

The first film I watched with a past girl was the second Lord of The Rings at her place. She said she liked the first but hadn't seen the others, boy with my extended edition I created an 8 hour long date/film session. Probably not the best suggestion for Tyler but if she likes it, you've got a lot of time to make an impression and watch some quality filming.

You could also call this something along the lines of Trailers because movie trailers originally were after movies to hook people to come back.
