For years my boyfriend has been watching ASMR videos, and I never got a reaction.  However, it must have been that I'm like Burnie and Gav in this sense, because as soon as I watched Gavin's video on Baba's channel, there were the tingles.  Unreal!

During the ceremony, when the man put the bindi on Burnie and Gavin, I got a tingle in that spot. Is that ASMR?

I had put off watching the RT Docs for some odd reason, but now I'm going through and I understand why they're putting  out more and more. They're good. It's good stuff. And as someone who's been a subscriber to the majority of the ASMRtists that were interviewed, it was really cool getting to watch this. Definitely recommending this.

They got milked by those bag carrying guys alright. They paid those guys an average 2 week wage in India for carrying their bags onto the train. And it was still only about $25.

I think he is just a kind hearted guy and was being appreciative about the gesture. He seems like he is already 100 percent content with everything he already has with his family, his yoga, and work. Wish there were more people out there like that guy.

How unbelievably cool.  Watching this is easily worth my whole First membership for a year.  I'm really glad you all did this and put this together.  Not only does Baba seem like such a unique guy, but next time I go visit my family in India, I will take it less for granted that I get to go there, because of the way it was portrayed in this documentary.

I'm not very big into ASMR, but I can understand why some people are. This was a pretty interesting documentary, and I think it was pretty cool what Burnie/Gavin did for Baba in setting up the YouTube channel. Doesn't look like much has happened with that channel, but it's still pretty cool.

I have a feeling that the experience they had with stepping into his shop, most RT/AH fans would get a similar reaction to being in the RT office or AH office. Because AH videos are what I listen to as I fall asleep. Meeting these people that you feel like you know so well would be surreal. And the fact that they wouldn't know you at all seems a little sad.

I get the tingles when I daydream while listening to music. And I've gotten so good at it that now I don't even need music, I can just relax and within seconds have tingles on demand, with "recharges" in-between. It's addicting.

    EDIT:

I loved the ASMR RT Docs episodes, any ideas for the next RT Doc?  Have you heard of grounding/earthing?  If not, maybe you could look into that.  Clint Ober had several good interviews with Dr. Mercola about it.

WARNING: The following contains graphic language about poo.

And I had my own experience with grounding.  But it might be TMI for some people.  Besides helping with blood flow, grounding also helps with the flow of lymphatic fluid.  This video gives more info on how grounding works with your lymphatic system, and how to work with your lymphatic system, which I will reference in my experience. (Secrets of the Lymphatic System, also for a better general understanding of the Lymphatic system this is a good read)

Anyhoo, my experience:  About 4 years ago I went to California and spent a day on the beach.  For about 5 hours I did almost nothing but play in the waves.  I held my breath and jumped into the waves, let the waves tumble me around, and kept very active the whole time moving around, jumping, and swimming.  When I was done I went back to my hotel room and took a massive dump, which itself was very curious.  It didn't look like any poo I'd taken before or since; it looked exactly like light grey soft serve and had a texture like it.  It wasn't anything like normal brown sausage poo.  It looked exactly like one big dairy queen soft serve ice cream cone.  And it didn't smell.  It also didn't have any "corn" or bits in it, it was really exactly like soft serve, and I couldn't figure it out.  Especially since I hadn't eaten anything that day or days prior that would result in such an oddity.

Well, a couple years later I watched the video series I referenced earlier, and a little later it clicked.  He mentions 4 things that help your lymphatic system to function:  deep breathing through the upper chest (which I did when held my breath to go under the water and waves), movement and exercise (which I did the whole time I was in the ocean), massage (which the ocean waves did for me), and grounding (which, in the ocean, I was completely grounded).  Furthermore, that lecture explains that your lymphatic system dumps mostly dead cell matter into your large intestine.  (Cleaned lymphatic fluid goes back into your blood.)  So basically, my 5 hours in the ocean was exactly what I needed to completely flush out all the crap that was backed up in my lymphatic system.  Case solved, God I love science/sense.

It's not exactly ASMR like most people seem to get it, but watching documentaries about stuff like this seriously relaxes me. Towards the end I had a lump in my throat, and I have no idea why. It wasn't particularly emotional, but it still moved me.

This makes me even more excited about the future of the RT Docs series. I think that largely due to Burnie's accomplishments with TAR, and now this, the combination of glimpses at world cultures and human interest pieces could be an amazing strong suit of their documentaries. Well done.

Lately it's even better, with all the extra stuff we're getting like these documentaries and Theater Mode. It's just a great time to be an RT fan, especially if you're a sponsor, I guess is what I'm trying to say. /rant
