i love how nestlé makes   95% of its profit outside of switzerland. They started as a baby Food Company with the goal to lower child death ratio after all the wars around europe, and now they sell water to americans. and cheap chocolate all around the world. They arent even considered a good brand for chocolate either here... oh, and they are evil. like supervillian evil. way to go!

As far as gavin saying "Did't they think it was an island at the beginning?" (California being it) He mentioned an old map he saw in podcast #159 that he saw a map where California was an island west of the continental US.

Listening to all the old podcasts and I love when they connect to new ones.

The most shocking revelation for brand name origins to me was when I realized suddenly that Lysol disinfectant spray is meant to be "Lyse All" because it lyses all bacteria (or 99.9%).

On the topic of sex and computers and online....... I remember Craig charles in an interview saying something along the lines of "there's this sock you can wear in your joy department while watching porn online, my question is what happens if there's a power surge? I mean is it gonna rip off your jock man?" ........... I should clarify he is British and is known from a show called red dwarf, and yeah that's how he talks

Okay, the whole resolution and widescreen/fullscreen..... i....don't....care... no seriously it's like my argument with some games. They want to sit there and go on and on about how awesome their graphics are, but hte gameplay is still crap, storyline is crap.... graphics to me, aren't a big deal. I get it, I get it some people are really BIG on the whole graphic thing but..... i'm sitting there going...and? I mean when they had first started doing wider tv's and hd tv's and would set them up as displays to show you the difference from one tot he other, I sat there going "I don't care, so long as i see the main focal point I don't care." because that's just how I am. Look everything pops so much more!....don't care. lol, I'm just boring like that I guess.

Lamest state?   Hmmm... Never been there so it might be a nice place but I'd have to vote for Rhode Island.  Because every time you hear about something for sale or some cool or lame thing being offered there is a disclaimer at the end ...  blah blah blah Offer void in Rhode Island.  Plus I've seen counties in other states that were bigger than the state of Rhode Island.

Funny that they're talking about letterboxing as something 'people are doing'. They did that on Lazer Team. To watch it on a widescreen monitor, you had to get an extension that stretched the video.

...Getting rid of them would requires fundamentally restructuring the essence of our societal organisation. Not necessarily and inherently bad idea, idiotic to think it could or ever would happen. We can't even agree on tax rates ffs, the idea of global agreement to deconstruction/complete reformation of the most base elements of society is ludicrous

    HISTORY TIME:

The American National Anthem was written about the bombing of Fort McHenry by British troops in 1814. They failed to conquer the fort and gave up. The War of 1812 was started over British attempts to restrict U.S. trade, the Royal Navy’s impressment of American seamen and America’s desire to expand its territory. While we took heavy losses, including the original White House, we still expanded trade, territory and stopped the British invasions in New York, Baltimore and New Orleans. I'm gonna call that a draw.

Robots use input form sensors to make decisions on its own., without human intervention. It would need to complete a task on its own.

Otherwise, every machine would be a robot.

Push a button and blade spins is not a task. Unless it would decide itself what strength and length it would blend.

Making a smoothie is a task, for example. So for it to be a robot, it would have to put the fruit in itself and pour it into a glass/cup.

We didn't lose the war of 1812 Brandon. It pretty much ended in a wash where no land was lost or gained. It's actually one of the main factors for the USA  to expand west with the British no longer supporting the Native American Tribes. So the real loser of this war were the Native Americans.

The Hokey Pokey originated as something Puritans did to mock Catholics, where Catholic priests turn around and move around their arms to bless the bread and then say "Hoc es corpus meum," or "This is my body," which Jesus supposedly said at the last supper. "Hoc est corpus" became "Hocus pocus" and then "Hokey Pokey," and the "put your right hand in, take your right hand out" was just mocking the movements of blessing the bread that nobody could see, since it was done facing away from the congregation in those days. So going by "Hoc est corpus, Hokey Cokey would make more sense, but nobody says Hocus Cocus. It's hocus pocus. But since Puritanism was banned in England, it's easy to see why there'd be such a divide between Hokey Cokey and Hokey Pokey.

And the theme of the Star Spangled Banner used to be a british drinking song.

Oh, and speaking of Nestle and by extension chocolate, German chocolate isn't from Germany, it's named after a guy called Sam German.

Alright, come on now, Brandon. It's 2017. There's no such thing as "the Oculus" just like there's no such thing as "the Microsoft" or "the Apple." Microsoft makes the Xbox, Apple makes the iPhone, and Oculus makes the Rift.
