AC vs DC, volt for volt, DC is roughly twice as life threatening. I work with 330 volts DC with hybrid transmissions in a test cell, and i have been fully trained in both. Play with a $40 tensing unit that you can adjust the pulse width on and you will see that as you get the pulses closer it will actually begin to feel uncomfortable and for some people it's painful. AC Alternates the Current (Alternating Current) giving you short breaks from the voltage and that pulse can be the difference between having some control with that muscle and having no control. Amperage also plays a huge role with the death part, lightning contains more voltage than humans can create but it has a very low amperage which is why people survive lightning strikes.

Aw man, I was so glad when Burnie mentioned that it's an Irish thing to have a great wake instead of a really sad funeral, I'm irish and I was thinking that all when Jack was talking.

On the part where they were talking about dead bodies, I saw a motorcycle wreck with at least twenty dead bodies.

On the dead body bit I have seen a couple not family. The first that I remember would be seeing one be pulled from a lake. Covered with a tarp but the shoes were apparent from under it. Then other would be walking home after a beer run, and seeing the aftermath of a guy falling three stories onto concrete. That was quite messy.

You guys are right-on, burying the dead is a waste. I've been saying the same thing as Jack, take whatever is useful, then burn or green-bury the rest.

Also, get your history of Edison vs Tesla correct. Tesla advocated for AC, Edison was a proponent of DC (hence his dick moves killing things with AC). AC is preferred for electricity transmission over distances because it requires MUCH less copper than DC. A DC power grid would require copper wiring about a foot across and substations every 10 miles.

As someone who used to live in the San Gabriel valley I can confirm that the wild parakeets are a real thing. For the record, they are annoying as fuck! Nothing would bring me to Gus levels of frustration and anger than being woken up early Saturday/Sunday morning by these fucking bids.

    Imagine this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=emNtmCMjoVs

    EVERY. FUCKING. MORNING.

That was my hell for 8 years.

    Gavin's Laundry Tips:

Put on dirty clothes - Take shower with clothes on - rub in shampoo - step out of shower - take off wet clothes - dry off with blow dryer

I think that would be a cool T-shirt lol

When they told the trip story about Gavin showering with his clothes on. I don't think he should have worn the shirts. He should've held them under the shower, put the shampoo on the shirts, washed them out, and then hang them out on the balcony... But you could just use the laundry room in the hotel or go to a laundry mat if the hotel doesn't have it.

I had bilateral pulmonary emboli about 8 months ago. Likely the clot started in the leg, broke up, and lodged in the lungs. I was prescribed Warfarin (Coumadin), which is an anti-coagulant. I also had to have anti-coagulant injections for a few days. The anti-coagulation doctor said that I should not have alcohol or take aspirin. I'm still on the Warfarin. DVTs can be serious shit. Best you can do is move around for a few minutes every hour, and keep up on exercise.

Just so I don't go into the category of negative comments I'll add input. I strongly feel that Microsoft has listened to the audience so much now that the Xbox One is nothing special any more. It's just a natural progression instead of a booming ground breaking success. Force feedback triggers is all I'm excited about because I already have a GameCap card.

Adobe plugin crashed right after they were speaking about how you could cut off some series at certain parts and how they would pay money to hear the last five minutes of audio after a business meeting is over. Literally the last thing I heard was "Okay thanks guys lets rap this up, bye!""fucking assholes"and it cut out lol. I thought it was the end of the pod cast that would have been great.

Gav was right! D.C. (direct current) freezes your muscles so you can't let go and A.C. (alternating current) reverses its current which allows you to let go of the wire although A.C. is more likely to give you an irregular heartbeat or a heart attack because of the reverse flow

    Ah - backwards on the Tesla-Edison ...

Edison was a DC proponent, had hired Tesla to come up with a better way for power transmission, hated the AC idea Tesla invented.

But we all agree that Edison was a dick.

I keep calling the new Edgar Wright movie At World's End too, but I think it's called The World's End. At World's End is that Pirates movie. As far as Aaron Sorkin goes, he is definitely hit or miss. I heard the Newsroom sucks. Studio 60 was awful.

So in the talking about seeing a dead body, I was coming back to Northern Indiana from Six Flags Great America which is north of Chicago. On I-80 in Indiana, there was a 40 minute long traffic jam at around 11PM. When we got to the end to see what happened, they had floodlights pointed off the side of the road, I see an officer come from the field at the bottom of a ditch carrying what looked like a motorcycle helmet upside down, then there was a bike with a lot of fluid around it (either blood, gas, or oil) with a tarp covering what I'm assuming was the body, and then a truck with a huge dent in the back of the trailer. To this day, seeing where the hit on the truck was, I'm convinced the guy on the motorcycle was beheaded, and the head was still in the helmet.
