That was really neat, you could have had the propeller at higher revs if it weren't propeller shaped.  Again, really neat.

      if it weren't propeller shaped?

what? would it still be a propeller?

Technically not, but it would still look like a propeller.

Cool video as always, and just as i think Dan gets to go a video without injury he burns himself on the barrel of the gun.

That was an awesome video! I don't know if Gavin or Dan really read the comments all that much, but my brother is an electrical engineer student at ASU and is doing a capstone where he has to do slow motion captures of electrical flashovers through various substances, or something like that. The videos are pretty cool but they are doing it with a fairly cheap camera because the school is too busy pouring their money into the football stadium instead of funding students (micro rant) so they don't get much frames per sec and the res is just down right bad. Aside from that, it's really cool to watch so idk figured I'd just put that out there as an idea that you guys could one day do if you ever need an idea of something to film.

Never would have thought the bullets were fired so close to the prop. Though i suppose it has to time the entire motion of the gun between prop blades. Ejecting the used shrll casing and whatnot. Very cool slow mo.

they would normally try to fire just after the prop had gone past for the longest possible time

I wonder if they could do the same test with the original system of metal wedge deflectors, that would deflect the rounds away from the propeller and cockpit (safety might be an issue)?

-Also I love the random Ford Ranger in the desert.

Absolutely fantastic, always wanted to see the intermittent fire of a machine gun through a propeller.

I have a request, would you be able to film a tank gun firing a shell in slow motion? A lot more happens in that split second than you would ever believe possible, and it would be awesome getting to see something explode in a new and fantastic way. Oh and if I had to recommend a tank shell to film then it would be APDS.

    Thanks.
