Fan Art Friday is back! Last week, we got some incredible art from you, and can't wait for you to see the winner this Friday! Just keep your eyes peeled on the front page of RoosterTeeth.com! One of your works of art will be featured in Rooster Teeth Poppycock!

Read on for rules, tips, and more!

In order to create more interesting content, we're going to ask that you give us a little background info on each piece, so we can write about it when you win!!! Please copy-paste the following into your entry and fill it out!

    • 1. What's your name?
    • 2. Where do you live?
    • 3. What do you do?
    • 4. How did you create this piece?
    • 5. How long did it take?
    • 6. What was your inspiration?

PROTIPS for the best shot at winning:

    • Maximize your votes. While getting the most votes does not guarantee victory, you must be in the top 5 to be selected!
    • Enter early (the earliest entries have more time to get votes)!
    • Join and follow the BIGBITE group to get a notification when we launch each new contest!
    • If people liked it, but it didn't win, enter it again!
    • Make sure the post shows up correctly--direct links tended to do far worse than embedded images.
    • Get on your social media accounts and tell your friends to vote for you! Don't forget to give them the direct link to your post. (That's the hyperlink on your post number, kids!)

So, here's the rules (updates in bold):

    • Upload your fan art to this thread
    • Copy and paste the above background info on your piece and fill it out.
    • Need help uploading images here? CLICK HERE.
    • One entry per person, per week. If you submit more than one image in a single post, you will be judged on the first image. Multiple images of the same 3D item are permitted.
    • The fan art is to be of RT and Let's Play family topics.
    • Previous entries may be re-entered, provided they have never won.
    • You may win multiple times, and previously being featured in BIGBITE.Media does not preclude you from winning.
    • Entries must be received by 11:59PM CST on Wednesday, 09.13.2017
    • The top 5 modded posts will be selected as finalists (read: TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO VOTE!)
    • The winner will be selected by BIGBITE and/or RT staff. In the event of a tie in the selection committee vote, the piece with the highest number of mods will be selected.
    • Winner's art will be featured in Fan Art Friday on RoosterTeeth.com!

If you have any questions, shoot us a message.

Good luck, and we'll see you on the front page!

    Sincerely,

    Joe Dalton and Michael Hernandez

    • 5. How long did it take? - Probably about 3 or 4 hours, if not a bit shorter. Actually felt "in the zone" for this one :D
    • 6. What was your inspiration? - With back to School stuff happening soon (or having happened? Depending on country I guess) I decided to draw a Ruby to brighten the Spirits of people. I've also been fiddling a bit with my art style and I think I settled on something I personally enjoy.

    1. What's your name? Rachel (Sandylock Cosplay on facebook, rcrouch09 on instagram)

    2. Where do you live? Michigan

    3. What do you do? Pediatric Orthotist

    4. How did you create this piece?  I made all pieces of this cosplay from modified and original patterns.  The Mask and Gauntlets are made from foam and Worbla, the sword and sheath are a mixture of Foam, Sintra, and Worbla.  The Mask stays in place via magnets that were sewn into my wig.

    5. How long did it take? About 3 months

    6. What was your inspiration?  I love Raven because she is a very mysterious, strong, and complex character in the RWBY universe. She also can't be classified as completely good or evil, but lives in a moral grey area (more mystery!)  Can't wait to learn more of her back story or to see her character development in the upcoming RWBY seasons.  Her outfit is also amazing!

    • 1. What's your name? Shiroki ( https://www.facebook.com/ShirokiCosplay/ and @_shiroki on Twitter and Instagram)
    • 2. Where do you live? Madrid (Spain)
    • 3. What do you do? I'm studing.
    • 4. How did you create this piece?  I made the entire costume, sewed all the parts and made the Crescent Rose. It was really funny.  For the photoshot,  since I had to travel to another city, Peck (the photographer) created a Crescent Rose 3D model  while mine  stayed at home.
    • 5. How long did it take? Two weeks more or less. I was really hyped at that time.
    • 6. What was your inspiration? I always loved the Little Red Riding Hood tale and when the Red trailer popped into my face I just fall in love with Ruby. It was pretty awful to wait for  the first chapter but I knew it that I will always love Ruby.  Our main inspiration for this photoshot was to recreate the same feelings that the Red trailer gave us.

    What's your name?

    Zachary Morgan

    (thatguyfromgainesville on tumblr)

    (@rzm066672 on twitter)

    Where do you live?

    Gainesville, GA

    What do you do?

I am a full time Mass Communications student at Piedmont College

How did you create this piece?

I used an Intuos 3D graphics tablet and a free software called MediBang Paint Pro

    How long did it take?

It took me two days and about 40 different layers of color to complete this piece.

    What was your inspiration?

I was inspired by the Blake Volume 5 Character Short. I got so hyped for RWBY Volume 5 that I felt I had to draw this. RWBY is not only the inspiration for this piece, but the inspiration for all my art in general. The series itself and Monty are what initially made me want to draw anime in the first place.

    • 1. What's your name? Jett Furr
    • 2. Where do you live? North Carolina
    • 3. What do you do? Freelance Artist/Designer, Fitness Center Employee
    • 4. How did you create this piece? Using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. Workflow for more cell-shaded-esque images involves rough lines, final lines, flat color base, flat shading, and then some airbrushed shading. I typically use a completely black overlay layer to check grayscale values.
    • 5. How long did it take? Under 8 Hours over some odd number of days.
    • 6. What was your inspiration? I really enjoyed Little Witch Academia, and I thought this would be a fun crossover to draw. And it was. =)
