Yeah it is. Season 2. Grif and Donut talking. Donut retracing his steps. Donut: wait, i havent told you about the boil on my leg! Grif: Thats it. Ilm commiting suicide now.
Aww... I remember when I tried using harsh wit to prove myself to this thread. Though, I don't remember anyone in the thread actually getting upset about anything. Hmm... Could be that you're just full of shit...
Wasn't a big fan of the auto-tune part myself but you are forgetting the awesome rap that followed (and made up most of the song). Rappin' Elites worshiping the best character in RvB via killer rhymes, what more could you ask for in a Halo based theme song?
Meh. It honestly lost my attention very quickly. There wasn't any real variation. Repetition is a very great musical tool to use, but like many things, you have to know when to stop. Introduce new musical phrases, licks, or something. Not just the same two block chords, with one little 6-note phrase thrown in every few measures.
Music is opinion and emotion, not science. Sometimes the simplest of things can turn out better than the complex. If you don't like it thats fine but I happen to really enjoy the rap part of the song and think it was very well done. Not to mention the video itself was fantastically rediculous.
Although there is a particular science behind music that I won't get into right now, you're correct that it is largely emotion. I couldn't feel any emotions building up from the music though. I didn't even feel like it was built from emotion. There was no variation, not in intensity, volume, rhythm, or tempo, and it had so much repetition. It was almost as if it was just a computer program's preset loop.
And however great the video itself was, that is not a proper reflection on the song itself.
