If you find a good full conversion mod for any computer game, post it here. There are so many of them, it would be nice to have one place to find them.
Garry's mod is a delightful mod for Half-Life 2. You can manipulate objects, create go-karts, even do some animation if you have the patience to go frame-by-frame.
"full conversion" is a type of mod inwhich models are completley redone, physics are changed (if applicable) and a completley new game (using the old engine) is made. A good example of a full conversion mod is the Red Orchestra mod for UT2004.
In reply to SMID, #4:[/I rembewr heeing of a DBZ total conversion of Doom 3. It should give a good burst fun to any fans of the series. I also read of another Mod for Doom 3 called "The Dark Mod". It's going to be a full conversion that turns Doom 3 into a Thief game. I'm not sure if it's one of the older games redone or a new game all togeather. I'd like the idea of a Halo Mod for C&C: G.
Red Orchestra is outstanding. Once you get into it (which takes a while) it's really damn addictive.
Natural Selection was quite good, and very original. But it's tough to play as the commander... even though I read the manual my noobishness was quite frustrating for my teammates, and then they start bitching and not following instructions/orders... and the whole thing goes down the tube. After a few games I could hold on for a while and take the fight to the enemy domain... but those aliens just kept getting stronger and stronger.
In reply to HollowDog, #15: I heard all this hype about RO, then i got it and to me, it seemed kinda boring. I do admit though, the rendered scope for snipers is kickass x10. I just dont see what it has thats so spectacular, its a bit slow paced for me at that. CoD is my WW2 preference.

Sven Co-op Awesome Co-op mod for Hl, (and HL2 "comming soon"), where you get to run through many custom levels for Sven with your friends blasting Alien (and Human) Scum, and also even play through the Hl storyline in co-op multiplayer. (the same will be available for HL2, but is currently 'under construction')

damn thats gonig to be laggy. Only for the people with High end comps and High end connections I'd imagine.
Maybe because of all the information the game is sending to and from the people playing, Ever wondered why Xbox Live lags out while playing a massive game?
