Oh, okay. My main army is now Necrons, subbed by my Storm Wardens (Vanilla Marines) and my Eldar (Alaitoc). Thinking of doing either Grey Knights or Guardians of Celeres backed up by some Cadians for my next project. :)
Or how about a codex for someone who deserves it more? Space Marines in general have gotten 3 codexes in 5th edition (Space Marines, Blood Angels & Space Wolves) Tau and Chaos haven't had a single new model or rule outside of forge world for SIX YEARS.
Hell yeah!!!!!!! Valhallans. Ciaphas Cain FTW. I'm sure people know i have a sizeable valhallan force. Anyhow., does anyone remember the days where 40K was funny, not doom and gloom?

Well all I can say to this is DEATH TO THE FALSE EMPEROR!!! He says painting more Iron Warriors....
Bring back Codex Catachans. Or Issue Codex Valhallans. Yeah.
Well fuck, do codex Tallern Desert raiders while your at it. I'd still love to do a C&C Generals GLA themed army using Tallern Desert Raider stuff... Chimeras would be Technicals, Leman Russ is a Scorpion Tank etc....
About GORRAM TIME Chaos FINALLY have new models! I am impressed!
Here's the box's contents:
Chaos:
New plastic Chaos Lord with Plasma Pistol & Power Sword
New Plastic Chaos Chosen (6x) with Power Weapons (a Maul on the Sergeant, a Power Fist, a Chain Axe and a set of Lightning Claws) and boltguns
New Plastic Chaos Cultists (Yes, actual traitor gaurd cultists) 20x (2 squads of 10) with auto-guns, shotgun & CC weapon for the leader and a Heavy Stubber support trooper) and one with auto-pistol & CC weapon (with 2 CC weapons for the leader and a Flamer support model).
New Plastic Chaos Hellbrute (Giant Terminator. Seems to be a Dreadnought-ish vehicle) with Multi-Melta and Power Fist
Dark Angels:
10x Space Marines (With Boltguns, Plasma Gun, Plasma Cannon and Plasma Pistol / Chainsword Sargeant) with new plastic parts / poseabillity over the standard marines
5x Terminators with Storm bolters + power fists & power sword sargeant, plus Assault Cannon and Chainfist parts and new addons (such as wings for the sargeant. Aesthetic, not jump pack)
3x Space Marine / Ravenwing bikers, with bolt pistols / Chainsword and Sargeant with optional plasma gun.
1x Company Master (Balthasar) with power sword
1x Dark Angels Librarian with Force Sword
(If limited edition version of the set is bought) 1x limited edition Interregator Chaplain model.
Other:
Rulebook, Dice, Measures, Templates.
The Interregator Chaplain custom model comes in the "Limited Edition" version (for about 10 us dollars more) and also available is a carry case with foam cut specifically for the contents of Dark Vengeance.
I have the 6th ed book already, but part of me is considering getting this just for the Chaos Models to bolster my forces with the new units (and to possibly (A) convert the Dark Angels models into traitor marines or (B) trade my Dark Angels models to other SM players in exchange for their unwanted Chaos Marines of the kit, as I did with my Black Reach orks.
Well what else is there to do? I've been done with loyalist marines since Matt Ward's Ultramarine Fanfiction Codex: Space Marines, I've got tons of Chaos Bitz lying around and love to convert. So why not? Trade for more marines, or convert some new ones. Either way is beneficial.
Although the conversion is more tempting. Rule 15 of the internet. "The more beautiful and pure a thing is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it." And my inner heretic would giggle in delight over corrupting the most faithful and pure of the Emperor's servants to my dark cause.[/maniacal laughter]
Totally. You should see my Tau Battlesuit commander. It's a near perfect replica of Shas'O Kais' battlesuit from Dark Crusade. (Only I didn't use Shadowsun's suit) It's on the same size-scale as a Forge-World Tau suit. Unfortunately it needs some repairs right now. Hopefully I can get some of the pictures from Gunninator (We had a sendoff to 5th ed 10k apocalypse battle on a 10x8 foot table and took pictures to record it)
Nice. Every one bar one of my Ork vehicles are converted or looted from something. Oh and I made a Stormboy Nob recently who has a Rhino door as a riot shield.....
long time chaps, I just played (and lost) my first game of 6th edition. Good time but I'll need more games to render my judgement on the rules overall. Quick question for you, in a assault and one model is in base to base with several enemy models, where do wounds get assigned first? Normally you'd go closest but in this case there are several touching him. Would it go to the player causing wounds or taking them to allocate?
All this talk of screwing the aquila has got me peckish for Imperial blood. To my Valhallans: Sorry lads. Right, where's me Chaos bitz box from last time's giveaway?
Finally got my 6th edition book. Too bad my usually shop has pretty much scrapped my old awesome 20% discount, for roughly a 10% discount, and now my randomly generated 40% off coupons have a time limit. I used to love the shop, but their randomly changing policies have pretty much killed their own business. On the up, I'm giving my coupon to my friends so they can buy the new starter, meaning I'll have new armies to play against. Totally worth it.
So I moved to a new town, new shop, and these guys actually buy Magic cards. I quit a couple of years ago, so I turned them over to them for $161 in store credit. Figured I should finally get my Necrons going (5k in Space Wolves already), so I ordered a warrior box, an immortal box and 2 annhil/command barges. After playing wolves for so long though, I'm blown away how cheap on points crons on.
Current list (likely to change) is sitting at:
Overlord 2x Crypteks (using a couple of necron warriors to fill in for them for now) 11x Warriors 11x Warriors 10x Immortals 2x Annhilation Barge
at around 886 points with the planned upgrades, I'm a little floored how cheap these guys are points wise. It's going to take a chunk out of my wallet by the end of the year I'm sure.
