Craterhoof Behemoth x1 Riku of Two Reflections x1 Parallel Lives x2(or Doubling Season x2)
Have Riku of Two Reflections, two Parallel Lives, or two Doubling Seasons(or one of each if your playing commander) on the field then play Craterhoof Behemoth and use Riku of Two Reflection's creature twinning ability to put a copy token of Behemoth in to play. The first Parallel Live will activate and put 2 tokens in to play and then the second Parallel Lives will activate putting a total of 4 tokens in to play. Using your math that comes to 5 hasty 21/21 tramplers for 10 mana
In reply to Gigagamer, #12817: Don't get me wrong, I love the card, but I don't like the flavor of it. I feel like R&D was like "We need a blue 'walker!" and they just kinda pulled her out of nowhere.
Yeah, I think she's a pretty well made Planeswalker.
She comes out strong, but not brokenly strong, and her ultimate doesn't just do 'I win', instead it's a pretty unique effect that totally changes how almost any deck plays, which I really like. She's interesting, not too limited in scope, and also not single-handedly powerful. I really do like how more Planeswalkers are using emblems now as well.
Gotta agree here, she doesn't feel like she fits in Innistrad at all. Her backstory was balls and she feels totally forced to balance out the walkers for the block and make sure there was a new one they could have for Avacyn Restored.
Oh, and add on the fact that if you Turn 4 Vexing Devil, and they do pay the 4 life, you have enabled morbid for Brimstone Volley... so that's Turn 4, burn for 9. Add in the likelihood you've already hit 'em a few times, that's probably game.
The Helvault was opened and it was great. I won't spoil what's inside for those who haven't seen it yet: I got three dice, four tokens, and a giant Avacyn .
I got a mediocre pull of cards, but got some good trades in.
Best pulls were a Bruna, Light of Alabaster, the rather terrible Descent into Madness, and a Moonsilver Spear propably. Traded a Devastation Tide and a Drogskol Reaver for Elbrus, Blood Tyrant, foil Necromancer's Covenant, and Dimir Doppleganger.
Well my Pre-release was great. I just got back from mine. My pulls were Alchemist's Refuge, Desolate Lighthouse, Heard of War, Ulvenwald Tracker, Somberwald Sage, and Champion of Lambholt with a Otherworld Atlas from my pity pack. With Sage, Champion and Tracker I had a great deck
Uvenwald Tracker and Zealous Recruit were the only useful rares I got, no mythics. I managed to get a decent Naya deck together, but just missed prizes due to getting owned in the last round by a U/W control.
So to change things around, let's publish decklists for EDH/Commander. Just for fun. Everyone once in a while, I try to price out my EDH to see how much it would cost to build it... I'll publish it once I get home, but just ballpark, I think my lands alone would cost about $700. Then there's 60 other cards in the deck...
I'm not super into most of the new cards. Nowadays I pick up singles here or there to fit into my EDH, but it comes at the cost of pulling other cards.
You want a game-winning ramp turn 6 in Block Constructed or Sealed/Draft? Try comboing Cathar's Crusade, Goldnight Commander enchanted with Dual Casting, and the surprisingly fun Thatcher Revolt. That gives you 6 13/13 Haste tokens for only four mana, plus permanent +6/+6 for the Commander and any other creatures you have out. Even more fun if you can stall for a bit to drop down Gisela, Blade of Goldnight beforehand, who effectively turns your "little" tokens into 26/26 creatures, while she herself becomes a whopping 34/34 (effectively) First Strike Flyer.
Just got MTG Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013. Haven't played the game much before, and by that I've literally played maybe 5 full games in the past ten years, but I really like the game xD I'm excited to get started on this!
