Anyway back to the topic How long have you all been playing Stratego?
I was introduced to it when I was about 6 by my brother, we used to play Stratego and Risk every weekend
I used to play both. Still play Risk every couple weeks with my friends and family. Favorite strategy was putting bombs in corners, like a mock flag, and leave the flag perfectly alone in the middle. Put a 10 and spy by it, and they cover the middle pretty well. The other guy will see the bombs in the corners, and rush for them, only to find more bombs. And always put scouts on the front lines. So you can send them immediately across the field once the game starts to get a feel for the other player.
In reply to Halo53, #1: I have to agree and say that this is the best game I have ever played. My dog got ahold of the colonel (sp?) and well ever since then we have never played since you know which one is the chewed up piece.
then again my dad wasted his scouts by attacking me with them and almost everygame I fake the spy with a scout and trick the ten into moving into my spy like he would have to flee into my area and if he passes the spy BAM!!
I was talking about the card game with the magic attacks and counters and +2 counters that counter the counters untill in the end some one plays a card that disbands all counters but someone counters that.....
The show was just watching people do the above. But thts LOTR stratigo in a nut shell!
