Not to metion giving the Sangi the WORST voice possible(he makes my haed hurt) Plus ther is the mass of pop guns. I wounder how they will deal with Namis moms death. Lets seee them get around that!

No other way to discribe it. If you watch the writing its obviose they are trying to get some some jokes out of"happy as a clam" and crap. Did anyone see the one in which Nami's mother should have died but instead was locked up for the rest of her life? Now first of all when they defeat Arlong she should be released and that she doesn't..I dought even kids are that stupid. Also I think that being locked up all your life would be MUCH worse I mean come on.
I love One Piece! I have loads of one piece stuff! I got into it on Toonami, being that it was the only way to see it. However, after just 3 episodes, I started watching it online, and never looked back. Every character is unquie and has their own sense of coolness to them. The pirates they face as well are all so cool and creative. I'm currently up to the Arc with that girl, Apis. Some say she's annoying, but she hasn't bothered me yet. As for the Straw Hat pirates themselves... Luffy is as blunt as a baseball bat, and that's why I love him. Zoro (not ZOLO) with his 3 katanas and serious attitude contrasts great to the rest of the group. His skills kick ass, too. Nami is just cool. Her story with Arlong has been my favorite part so far. So sad. :( Usopp is probably the best comedy character in any series I've ever seen. Anything he does just makes me laugh out loud. As for sanji, his whole character is great, and the fact he's never serious around Nami makes it even better. I'm looking forward to seeing TonyTony Chopper soon. He sounds really cool.
Anyone here got a favorite episode or Arc so far? The whole Arlong Park Arc was great. Emotional, bloody, funny and sad... it was a great story with an even better bad guy. It's always good when you actually hate the bad guys like I did with him. He was just THAT cold hearted. That whole thing with locking up Bellemere in the 4Kids Version sucks compared to the actual japanese version. That was very good.
Yes Arlongs was great if there is anything for 4kids to be ashamed about(and we all know there is alot) its Raping Namis story and thanputting a bullet threw her head. On a less murderes note I for some reason can no longer download from the site I get OP manga. Anyone know a good place?
I also loved the Arlong Arc. But while I can get some of the changes in the story, what about the action sequences? Some of them were pretty bloody, so what excuses did 4Kids make to cover them up? Especcially since Nami did practically stab herself various times...
Anyone else going to post about this amazing series? It makes me sad that I'm the only one on these boards with "One Piece" as part of their bio (there were two others, but there had "Manga" at the end also. Plus, others might of spelt it wrong.). It also confuses me why so many people love Naruto, but almost no-one cares for One Piece. Anyone got thoughts on this, because it confuses me. With One Piece being the more popular in Japan (I think. I mean, it's had like several specials, TV shows etc.), why doesn't it click with other audiences so easily? The art? The theme? The characters? I'd like to hear some people's views on this.
It's not THAT weird. The whole powers thing makes One piece more interesting, and make the abilities themselves a mystery as to why they exist and how the Devil's Fruit ever came to being discovered. The whole "Can't swim" thing goes by a saying that when something is added, something equal must be taken away in order to keep a blance (FMA will know that). For pirates not being able to swim after gaining an ability, it makes it interesting seeing that they are always covered in water, and that one wrong move could kill them. Plus, One Piece is said to be underwater. While the Devil Fruit can help them reach it, they must find another way to take it from off the bottom of the Grand Line. I think the whole devil Fruit thing adds something different to One Piece, and adds alot of possiblities. Besides, it's not like Naruto doesn't contain lots of powers either. It's just one of those things to keep things interesting.
I read the first few comics in shonen jumo and i liked what i saw. So when it came on TV I was thrilled. Then it went downhill from there. I had just got up to when it was Luffy (how can it be Loofy when it's spelt Luffy?) was gonna face klahadoor. I am soooo gonna import the subbed version. I mean come on they don't even kill anyone. He shoots him with a cork gun. A sad sad day.
I fansub mine. I'm against fansubbing once a series has started... but frankly, I couldn't wait for months to see One piece in it's proper form. If you can find Kaizoku Fansubs, they can help you. :-)
Some news on One Piece came up a few days ago. Here it is for all to see:
According to newly solicited information on the website of AAAAnime Distribution, Toei is releasing One Piece volume 1 and volume 2 on DVD on September 27th and November 8th respectively. One Piece was adapted into English and distributed to television networks by 4Kids. No mention in whether Toei will use 4Kids English dub, or create a new one. Source: Anime on DVD
Now, that may be good, but here's the catch...
The words "English TV Version" are written on the bottom left of the cover of One Piece volume 1.
Now, many people have been discussing this elsewhere. The conclusion is that Toei are releasing the 4Kids version ONLY at the time. No Japanese/English Subtitles, no blood, no swearing, no decent theme tunes. There is a rumor that a new uncut version with Japanese Language and a new better dub will be following afterwards. However, right now not only are Toei releasing the BAD version, but they also release it with crappy boxart and only 3 episodes per disk. Tell me if that's worth your money...
they are relesing all that first so the parents can by little 7yr old timmy his. then hopefully they will release a version for the PEOPLE WHO CARE about the anime, not just the idiots who watchit cos it's on after pokemon. or at least here's hoping.
