I can't wait for Star Wars BattleFront II to come out. BF I disappointed me though. It was really rushed. But if the rumors are true about what BF II is gonna have, then I'm gettin' it.
I liked Battlefront, but, like you said nweasel, it was rushed to meet the time that Episodes 4,5, and 6 came out on DVD. I heard that, in BF II, you can be a Jedi! that'll be AWESOME!
ahhh...i remember my favorite tactic....which has been used by the Japanese.....with improvements....
grab a speeder bike, speed over to the opposing forces, steal their optimal craft, and fly around like a maniac shooting wilidly and getting dangerously close to the ground...until i kamikaze into an innocent soldier....later scowling because the bastard miraculously survived a huge object easily over 30 times his size and then blowing up causing an intense heat inferno..........
In reply to Deltora, #9: On Genosis: Spire once, I was the Republic, got one of those, it was just me in it and I got 101kills, 0deaths, and blew up all 3 of the Union ships or whatever they're called. I was happy. =)
I bet you were happy! Thats an awesome score! I at least die 4 times! you're good! Hey, do you all have any awards that you're good at getting? Mine is killing spree and, i think its dead eye or something. Thats where you get the most head shots, and i get like 30 every game.
only difference i see is that xbox is better because i have xbox live and not ps2 online but besides that everything is the same and the ps2 controller is more confortable for battlefront
i rented it its pretty awesome i like playin as the clone jet trooper theyre pistol is pretty kool it shoots faster than normal pistols i can really rack up the kills with those guys but some of the flyin craft r hard to control but its a great game
From the sounds of it, the PS2 version is not going to be worthwhile to get unless you don't have a choice. They have said it will have 2 player, splitscreen multiplayer and allow 24 people online via PS2 Online.
The X-Box version has 4 player splitscreen and there is also X-Box Live, which is going to allow 32 players at once.
Before anyone starts griping about X-Box Live's fee and how they don't want to pay almost a whole dollar a week to play with 8 extra people on what is for the most part a more reliable service (PS2 Online does work fairly well, but it isn't that consistent and you have to be more careful about choosing which online game to join), the PC version, which won't have splitscreen for fairly obvious reasons, is going to have 64 players online, and since that service is free it really isn't an issue of fee versus no fee playing.
I gather that you won't be able to play with people on different versions of the game, but I would figure that X-Box Live and the PC version will both have plenty of people playing, probably the PS2 also.
I'm just going to enjoy how you can be rewarded for good play by being able to play as Jedis and stuff
Only in single player. In multiplayer, the Jedi playing good will extend his life and playing poorly will decrease it, but only one person can be the Jedi and it can only be used once, once the Jedi runs out of life it is gone from the game for that side.
Well one time playing Battel fround as a sniper i just was going to take out one of the 2 last outposts and just as i got their half of the REBS Team spawned and gave me a run for my money. it was funny as hell, b ut sadly on took out 5 before getting killed.
