I've been making my way through the New Jedi Order books, and i can't get the potential epic-ness of what Battlefront 3 could be out of my head.
Can you imagine how disgustingly awesome it would be to have a third playable "era" pitting the New Republic against the Yuuzhan Vong? Uhhh, I want it sooo bad.
Dude, that's an awesome fucking idea! The Yuuzhan Vong have hardly even been heard of but there's so much good shit out there about them, and the days after the movies. I think if they were in a game it'd make people more interested in that time period. Hell, they've made games about shit before the movies, why not after them?
And the nice thing about the "vong era" is that they are pretty free as far as story goes. They could invent a new squadron of New Republic soldiers and have them doing their own campaign against the vong without having to deal with the invents of the book.

Yeah lots of room to make shit up. Blank canvas, dunno why they wouldn't wanna do it. They could pretty much tailor it however they wanted to as long as they didn't make it too ridiculous.
Lucasarts licensed the battlefront series to Pandemic studios and Pandemic made the games.
But since they are gone and the three other companies that also tried to make the game went bankrupt; I think Battlefront 3 is more of a curse than a blessing for developers.
With that said, if you know a videogame company that has the balls to take on the franchise and you can get a hold of Disney and ask them to license the game to that company, then by all means...
