I don't like the FPS Metroids ether. Super Metroid and Metroid II: Return of Samus are the only two I haven't played. Well, at least I might get to do that on the Nintendo Revolution.

Fusion, the whole SA-X thing was cool though the game did lead you by the hand alot,not as much as Zero Mission did. it's hard to pick one as they're all games that can be finished in an hour or two. Metroid 2 has suffered the most over time,it's a great game but slow compared to all the other games.
you do know that it takes alot longer to finish the prime seris and still enjoy it. i know it is possible to finish them both in about two hours, but then it's over so fast you don't even know what the hell you just played.
In reply to phiphi, #11: lol I have that for NES, still play it too. But between the game crashing every 2 hours and just the fact its hard as hell I try to stick to newer things. But the original was so fun, when you started you have no abilities except for being able to move and jump so you had to slowly unlock everything.
Super Metroid is still tops for me. Metroid Zero kicks ass too, but after all it's a remake. I hate to admit it... but I gave up trying to get that last energy tank. I mean, a guy can only take so much abuse. I loved Metroid Prime too... I guess Samus Aran is my unknowing mistress.
I've seen it higher. It was actually first place in EGM for the 100 best games of all time. Its hard to beat a game like Super Metroid. Its extremely fun and requires more thought.
And I can see why it beat A Link to the Past. LoZ:ALttP not a game that really stood up to the test of time.
u guys want some free nes games go to (www.theoldcomputer.com) first go to emulaters and get the fceu... and then download the games u want for NES after that go to the Fecu and open it once it is open click file and then click on one of the games to download it

Anyone play Metroid: Zero Mission? I love that game, but I can't seem to find it. Its possibly my favorite Metroid game. Than again, I haven't played Super Metroid in a while. Still, I think Zero Mission is still awesome. Samus looks better out of suit on the GBA anyway ;P
Emulator talk isn't allowed. And, in response to my favorite Metroid game, I'd say Super Metroid for side-scrolling. For FPS, Metroid Prime 2. Love the whole dark world and light world idea. Reminded me of Legend of Zelda: Link to the past.
Yeah, I love mp2because of that also. Never beat it. Still don't have it, only rented it for three days and completed it about %50. I only invested about 15 hours of play into it though.
I really liked super metroid and the prime series. the achievement of the primes was really keeping the whole metroid feel while being a unique type of first person game in itself. also each prime has one tune that is from super metroid, bet you didnt know that.
