Ghost World (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162346/) and Pi (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0138704/) are two of my favourite movie's, however I have not many people who have heard of them let alone seen them.
I just posted a separate thread about this suggestion (hope it doesn't break any rules), but people should check out "American Movie" if they haven't seen it already. It is a 1999 documentary about a film maker trying to finish a horror movie with his buddies. Very funny and quirky.
I'm going to second that one. I thought it was a pretty decent movie overall and had some of the best one-liners and dialog I've heard in a while. I think it suffered from a complete lack of advertising from the studio.
It's definitely worth spending a few bucks to at least watch.
That film Gamer, and I know I'll get a good bit of flak for saying that and neg mods but I was so excited to see that movie when it was in theatres, unfortunately at the time 15 year old Paskill couldn't get into a 15s movie he was that short. But I watched the film when it was on tv like last November, the movie isn't THAT bad. I liked the weird concept of a real (for lack of a better term) life version of second life, and the whole death row idea I rather enjoyed. The films action scenes I liked and for some reason the scene with Michael C. Hall mouthing I got you under my skin while sending guys at Kable was like the most creepy/intriguing scenes I have ever seen in a movie, it stuck with me, I'd literally turn on that clip on youtube two month later watching it for no reason, other than how much I loved it. But still I don't see why people didn't like the film. That and Surrogates I feel are under-rated.
I am into the Bad Horror movies, like the kind that go in full circle and became a comedy and good. The first has a decent amount nudity, No seriously the first eight minutes is just boobs we nearly turned it off just because it looked like it was going nowhere, and its called the Slaughter. It looks like some college kids tried to continue the evil dead series and somehow got permission to say it was a sequel from the studio. It has some amazing one liners and the sheer craptastic dialogue made it just a great piece of bad film it must be watched.
The second i have to suggest is the Stay Alive another bad horror movie with slightly interesting plot. I mainly watched it see if Frankie Muniz died. I like it just out of sympathy...If it was done differently and took another route then it would probably so much better. Hell i even thought up a different horror aspect to it and would've made so much more sense.
Fear and Loathing (had to make it mentioned again) I feel that Limitless was fantastic but got half and half from critics. Maybe it was the ending? 127 hours should have received at least one of its nominations last year. I've been hearing a lot of bad responses to Burn After Reading. I thought it was fantastic.
