Yeah, I usually create super short characters, too. It's funny cause my friends all create tall characters and while I'm trying to keep them alive, and use Techniques as back up, they're like....tripping over their own feet, so to speak. Though I'm not all that great, it's just the few experiences I've had with playing with other characters.
Haha, well, 3 was a card game...which meant you had to collect cards....and it's the same as collecting weapons, cept it's not a game of total and complete chance to get the weapon you want. <.<
I played the shit out of PSO ep. 1 & 2 when it came out on GC, poured some 300-400 hours into it across three different characters. Highlight being my lvl. 121 HUcast, that I still boot up from time to time. Unfortunately on my new TV the Gamecube is super dark and almost unplayable. :'(
I've been thinking about starting up on a private server on PSO Blue Burst, though.
? It's dark on your new TV? Chances are you can lower the contrast and up the brightness on your TV. Most TVs at least have a brightness option. What kind of TV do you have?
I think the problem stems from my connection. I've got an Apex something or other HDTV, but I'm using an RF adapter because I have no godly idea where an AV cable might be, so pretty much the worst connection. I haven't tried any other games, but I assume it's a lack of support for HDTVs from the Gamecube, and the poor connection.
I fooled around with my settings and got to a point where I could see what was going on in most areas, but I was playing the Jungle are in Ep II, and those dark corridors were pretty much all black. In fact most of that area was pretty damn dark.
I'm sorry to hear that your games don't show up as well on your TV. ): I still need to play through the story in the second episode. I started, and then it got kind of tedious unlocking all the areas, not to mention the time it took to do that stuff during the school year. I should get back into it during the summer or something.
Yeah, I like Ep. 2, but it is a bit on the tedious side. But the Seabed level is awesome. And the Olga Flow fight is pretty bitchin as well. Geez, it's been ages since I've played Seabed, ha ha. I just started playing BB on a private server, and I'm looking forward to checking out Ep 4.
Also, I'm really hoping they release PSO 2 on consoles. Or mac.
Agni is one of the lower end rare weapons, and I now have 3 of them, filling up my bank and not doing anything. My boss didn't care, honestly. The store is closing in a week.

That's pretty awesome, ha. Fire Scepter has its uses if you plan on using the Foie spells often, though.
It would have more of a use if I didn't have the Branch of Paku Paku. I normally shoot a foie then beat the booma to death with a stick twice as tall as I am. Branch base stats: ATP: + 240-267 ATA: + 45 DFP: + 25 Class: Rod Required Stat: MST: 600 10 Star
I'm just glad that when they ported the PSO episodes to the GC, they decided to make it so that standing in one place for a certain period of time would recover your TP. I guess they didn't have that in the Dreamcast version.
Oh man, I forgot Talis had that. That's great news, I just started a FOnewearl on BB, and my brother hooked me up with a Talis, I'm still about 225 mst from using it, but that'll be great once I can. High level Techs + Low TP pool = a lot of money spent of fluids.
And the TP and HP regen for standing still is fantastic. On my HUcast on Ep. 1&2 I would always take a minute between rooms if I took a couple hits. The higher your level the faster it goes, I think I recovered like 2 hp per second or something like that, ha ha. But it's really not all that useful at lower levels in my experience. :/
I liked to wear an item that made it regenerate TP faster. Or maybe that was PS0. Either way, TP was my main concentration since it burned a hole in my wallet if I didn't sit between rooms, waiting for my TP to go back up.
I wouldn't say that I only used it in those occasions, but more often than not, you'd find me waiting between rooms to recover TP and then for boss fights, obviously, that's not especially possible.
Oh, alright. That makes sense. In which case, I'd have probably done the same thing had it been possible to play with you online or in the same room. I usually go to the shops in the middle of a mission or exploration to sell some items, too.
Just hearing this game's name brought back memories for me. I believe I managed to get up to lv 142 and then my former "friend" deleted my character out of spite and I just lost the drive to continue on after that.
