We all know that Wind Waker was awsome to some and crappy to others. What's your take on the Wind Waker? MisterBubble put up this forum for people who like to talk about the WW in the Twilight Princess forum.
MisterBubble liked how when youwent to Hyrule, the entire kingdom was stopped in time. It freaked MisterBubble out @ first. MisterBubble thought the enemy would would pop out of time and attack @ any moment.
I rather liked it, except it was too easy. When I'm able to beat (if I remember correctly) every boss in the game the first time through, I know something is wrong.
MisterBubble gets anoyed by that 2. Well, it's their loss if they decided not to play the game just because of the graphics. MisterBubble do agree that it was enjoyable even if it was one of the easiest Zelda games MisterBubble has played.
i thought it was shuper shweet. deffinetly the best zelda game yet (TP looks like it may b better), but than again i'm a little......er...graphist (meaning I find it more difficult to enjoy old-school games w/ shity graphics). I thought it was massive, and a true masterpiece. Shigeru Miyamoto should be declared a god because of it. It could've been a bit more difficult I guess, but it was at a border line level so close to the perfect level of difficulty, that if u messed w/ it, it could realy fuck things up. And i know this is asking a lot, and i understand why the big N excluded it from the game, but i realy wished that during the part where u went to Hyrule castle, u could actually explore Hyrule, or at least more of the castle. That would've been so fuckin' awesome. But alas, it would've likely led to some cuts in other areas of the game, which nobody wants.
I like the way Link took out Gannon. It was sweet. I almost felt bad for gannon when he was talking about how he just wanted to make his land better than a harsh desert. But then he had to go and be evil about it.
MisterBubble wants to go and do all the side quests now! MsterBubble has never finished all the side quests before. MisterBubble only finished the game.
At first I thought Nintendo had screwed big time, and well, for the first time (and last, I might add) I judged a game by it's graphics. I thought it looked 'kiddy' of all things. I, the great lover of the Legend of Zelda, and all things Nintendo! However, I played it at a friends house a short time after my hasty judgement and immediatley bought a copy. This is a must-have amongst all GCN owners
i remember thinkin' that WW looked like shit when i first saw it, then i played it, and it was frigin awesome. I've learned that Nintendo always knows what there doin', even though it may not apear like it at the time.
My only issue with Wind Waker is that I thought it was a bit too easy. I thought it should've had more dungeons. I mean, Ocarina of time had 8! This one only had 5 (I don't consider the times in the Fortress as their own dungeons). Yet, this seems like a scary trend, as there were also only 5 dungeons in Minish Cap and only 4 in Majora's Mask! And it kinda sucks to me because the dungeons are my favorite part of Zelda games. I also thought that the bosses and enemies and puzzles all seemed really easy compared to the other Zeldas.... but then again, I've been playing Zelda games for many years, so maybe they just seemed easy to me...
But aside from those gripes, Wind Waker was just another excellent classic Zelda game and still one of my favorites for Gamecube. Once I touched that controller, I couldn't put it down until the game was over and I enjoyed every minute playing it... well, 'cept maybe those endless minutes sailing between places. But, the gameplay still rocked, it was still fun, I enjoyed the story and it had all the necessary components to make yet another awesome Zelda game.
Oh, and it was the second game that proved to me that cel-shading is awesome... the first being Jet Grind Radio.
Yeah, that was a dumb move on Miyamoto's part. He admitted that he took those dungeons out to make the game more family friendly and accessible because he thought they made the game easier for players of all ages. Stupid move, Miyamoto. The game still rules, but it could've ruled more.
ok here is what i think of this game. when i fist saw this game i thought WTF this looks so gay. but i tried it and i'm here to say that i was wrong. this is a grate game. though i am looking forward to the new Zeld game.
windwaker is like the sequal from magora's mask because part of the intro in wind waker talks about how the hero of time (link) didnt return to defeat ganon when he came back. that was when link was in that new city in magora's mask
