Over recent times, I have seen constant Threads here about either asking "How does the Mod Point system work?" or "What's Karma" So I decided to make a thread to end all of this and hopefully solve everyones problems:
WHAT IS KARMA?
First of all is that Karma is a feature of the RVB website that is used to tell how active you are around the site. Or if you want a professional reading of what karma is, go to your homepage and put your arrow over "What's Karma"
HOW DO I GET MY KARMA UP?
It's simple really... -Post in journals, images, threads, etc -Post up journals, images, threads, etc -Also when more people watch you, you gain karma
I'm sure you'll post responsibly too...
CAN YOU LOSE KARMA?
Of course you can lose karma in these ways -If you are abusing the website and you get temp banned, a site admin may decrease your karma

WHAT ARE MOD POINTS?
Mod Points are used to tell someone what you think about their posts or images. You have an infinite number of these points, but you can only mod any particular post once, and there is a community stats entry dedicated to those posts that have garnered the most mod points from members of the community.
Sponsors can also check to see who they received their points from by checking their "Mod History".
Also on your homepage is a breakdown of how many mod points you've given and received. This tally updates every 12 hours.
WHAT DO YOU GAIN FROM KARMA?
At level+20, you are able to post Threads in the forums (Sponsors always have this ability), and you will gain access to a special forum. There may be other forums similar to the +20 forum...
IS THIS SYSTEM REALLY NECESSARY?
In my opinion, the karma and mod point system just turns this whole website into a popularity dump which some people think it is...others think that it just ruins the fact that this is a Red Vs Blue Website... It's up to you about what you think about it.

Question: Someone keeps giving me negative mods for no reason...what do I do?
A: Isn't that Obvious? Tell a Moderator( That is online ), they will handle it
Question: Can I have mod points please?
A: Okay this question is an example of someone about to get banned because this is Illegal to do...to ask for mods. You shall never do this because it's wrong and you should be able to obtain mods the fun way (woohoo!)
Question: Why did you make this Thread?(I know someone will ask this)
A: I made this to end all the useless Threads in the Website Forum asking about either Mod Points or Karma...This is just the basic matters of them to sort it all out and I hope to end all those threads by making this one...

actually i dont think karma goes down if your not active. ive seen several people who's karma has not changed even though they have been inactive for a long time.
Thankyou, but when you highlight Karma in the homepage, it says that you can earn privliges on the site by having a certain karma level. Does Karma effect anything other than the +20 forum?
You also need to edit out the part where he says you lose karma for being inactive as there is no longer a karma drop, and even when there was it wasn't for just being inactive. It dropped whether you were active or not to encourage members to stay active.
Someone told there is a mod history button in the profile, but I cant find it. It could be really usefull for me to know because some flamer nega modded me about -15, and some other people last night, who were trying to help me(in the fan art topic).
You have to be a Spoinsor to have this feature which would be located right by view/edit comments and such. Mod Stats do not help you find out who negmodded you,but it does help you tell who + modded you. So if you want to know about sponsorship..go somwhere else.
lol point number 1 just like to say i love the way you had spelt spelling:) but apart from that newbish thing by myself this page is a big helper im uite new and it clears a few things up without me having to spam people and i found it fine, thanks guys
