The technical guys told me to bring this over here which is where i thought it was supposed to go the first time but i wasn't sure...

but my problem is with adobe premiere pro, i've got a high quality video that i'm trying to put into my video and then release it...well the problem lies in the after product...

the original video i believe is 640 x 480. well i was told to encode it at 720 x 480 but it just doesn't help..

this is what i mean (yes it's streamable so don't save as.)
i'm not trying to whore the movie here so i didn't add in too much..but the actuall footage portion is what's bothering me..I don't want that box around it...

I've already tried this:

This is not a problem with the encoder.....
What is happening is that the assets are not automaticly resized from 640x480 to 720x480.
there are 2 ways around this that i know of,
1) encode the video at 640x480
2) click on the assets on the time line, goto "Effect controlls", it should be the first drop down area saying something like "motion or scale"(I would check it now but premiere is not working on this machine), turn off "Uniform scale" and scale up the height to match the ends on the monitor window.

It would prob be just as easy to encode it to 640x480 unless you are rendering for DVD or exporting it to something like Encore where you would have to have it set to 720x480

but when i re-rendered the video...it just gave me a bigger black box around the video...any thoughts?

I'm a little confused, you have a video you're trying to release at 720x480, or you have a video at 640x480 and you're trying to add a higher resolution video to it?

I looked at the video and the only problem I was having was the video locking up. I'd just rewind a little and play again and it would work, but other than that, I see no problem.

well i tried just now to resize the video with the scale turned off and then render at 720 x 480 and it's rendering now...i'm hoping this works...but what i'm trying to do is just elimiate that black box around the actuall footage not the text.
