It doesnt have to be the exact capacitor, just the right voltage. But yeah, that would fix the deal with the time resetting everytime you turn on the xbox

I dunno is this is really a problem with the 360 itself, but one of my controller's left bumper is sticking, and I was wondering if I could take of the back of the controller and fix it without having to send it to mircosoft to get a new one

If I posted this in the wrong thread, please tell me and I'll post it where it belongs

Left bumper? I take it you mean the shoulder button, not the tirgger?

TBH I've done this a million times on the regular xbox, but I've never disassempbled a 360, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

When you say "sticking" do you mean that the actual button doesn't come back up after you press it? or that the key just keeps going off but the button physically pops back up?

Well I have to press down on harder than normal, the button is pushed in, just a little bit,but I dont have to press as hard on the other bumper

just sounds like an obstruction then, hopefully disassembling it would allow you to remove/clear whatever it is. it would void the warranty (if applies) on the controler only.

I was hoping to just unscrew it and fix it, but the screwdrivers I have are too big, and I don't even know what kind it is, but Ive seen a phillips screwdriver take it apart

you really need a TORX screwdriver. a small one at that.

according to this post, its a T8 size torx, but i found a couple other guides that have used a #1 phillips, although this could strip the screw if you aren't careful.

you can find the Torx driver at lowe's or home depot for probably no more than $3

Well I bought the screwdriver, it's a set,but it seems it doesn't fit since the little thing in the middle of the screw wont let it go in

Nevermind,I got the security pin out

I had to do the same thing. Thumbstick broke off, but luckily Xbox S controller ones fit. I actually broke a small flathead getting those fucking security pins out

My Xbox can't read any CD whatsoever. It's been like that for 3 years now. I still keep it but I don't really know what to do with it anymore
