Anyone as anxious as i am about the upcoming RE 4 port to PS2? I've played it thru on the gamecube with extreme satisfaction in the entertainment department. lots of cool unlockables with the best being the mercenaries mode! the PS2 port will include everythng the GC version did plus a few shweet extras. you will see new weapons such as a laser and (possibly) a chainsaw *rubs hands and grins evily*, cool new costumes, and a luscioust new story branch playing ada wong as she weaves her way thru the main plot. I highly recommend this if you have yet to play it, either the GC or the upcoming PS2
Tied with RE2 as my all time favorite game. Doubt I'll buy it for the PS2 though, since I already have the other version. Still, one heckuva game. Me and RE go waayyy back.
Hey, I just checked up on Metacritic.com for this one. There is no total score yet (needs 4, has 2), but from what it's got, the two reviews posted gave Resident Evil 4 perfect scores. It got a 10 from both PSM Magazine and Game Informer. The significant thing about this is that RE4 for the PS2 will mark the first time that a port got the coveted 10 from GI. To be more dramatic, only 12 games have gotten perfect scores from GI, one being the GameCube version of RE4. From the sounds of it, it's gonna be the most critically acclaimed port of all time.
pump it up. one of the reasons it was ported is because of a severe lack of sales. the GC version rates in my top 10 all time. it deserves more play than it has gotten.
I have RE 4 for the gamecube and the game was just plain nuts! I recently bought a PS2 (mainly for shadow of the colossus and Phantasy Star Universe) but RE4 is going to be another addition to my PS2 collection
oh man ive played it for gamecube and i got it and played it for 15hrs one day i only got half through verry fun game i recommened for anyone who is thinking bout getting it
