before i get modded to death is any find it not that funny given the fact i only watch one episode i didn't care for it much. now i don't hate S.H i just would like other people's input ok iam not bad mouthing it so don't get the wrong idea
Episodes 1-2 were ok, they were just setting up the storyline Episodes 3-4 were slightly bad. Episode 3 was a huge let down after the cliffhanger at the end of Episode 2. Episodes 5-6 were alot better than 1-4 but were still not great. Studios 1-4 were good, but not great. Studios 5-6 were excellent and was about halfway to being as great as RvB. Episodes 7-9 are so close to being right up there with RvB.
Since episode 7, each episode has been better than the last. 9 literally had me sitting on the edge of my seat, so 10 is going to be fucking sweet!
I have to agree with DeeMonstar's summary, except for the Studios ones (I didn't like them much, I dunno why). I've never thought that SH was of the same caliber of RvB, but it's not bad. Also, my friends comment about how Sam looks eerily like me.
Strangerhood is a different type of humour than Red vs Blue is. It's going to collect a different audience. Even on my site, RvB has 3-4 times as many hits as SH. Ask yourself this though, how large do you think the RvB fanbase was after only 9 episodes?
That's a big ditto. I always liked the Strangerhood, but it never really got as good as Red vs Blue, untill the latest episodes. I think if they manage to come out with SH videos more regularly the audience would grow a little faster though.

And RvB has not only 68 episodes, but a pant-load of PSAs and other random stuff.
There are 327,097 registered members using up bandwidth and countless unregistered users. And the forums? 8,065,568 posts. If you calculated it, I'm sure that the bandwidth for RvB would dwarf the bandwidth for SH and P.A.N.I.C.S. by a mind-boggling number.
I mean, shit, with your logic, RT should get rid of RvB before SH, because it's "sucking up the whole site."
If you think that SH is taking up precious bandwidth, then don't watch it. It's that simple. Then you have just another twenty megabytes that can go somewhere else, like trolling in the forums.
I understand that RvB gets a whole lot more hits than SH and P.A.N.I.C.S. (as it should) and i think that RT should stop making SH because a. its not funny and its a horrible attempt at a different kind of comedy and b. its take up bandwidth that should for RvB and maybe P.A.N.I.C.S.

I wasn't really angry, so much as befuddled by what seemed like an accusation that SH takes up a great deal of bandwidth. It doesn't, and if you know that, then I'm not sure why you said it's "sucking up the site."
If you don't like SH, that's okay. I didn't at first, either. It grew on me, I guess, I dunno. But that's the thing: some people do like it, and they do think it's funny, and just because you don't doesn't mean that it shouldn't be made. Some people don't like RvB, but I'm sure they don't think that RT should stop making that. And what little bandwidth SH takes up is nowhere near enough to make much of a difference, so as far as I know, there's still plenty of bandwidth to go around.
Also, I would suggest a frontal assault, if only because you can see the surprised look on your teacher's face. If possible, get a friend to do it from the back--two times the fun!
Well the statement was made mainly to further hate on SH but you found an another meaning for it which is ok.
Another reason i used the "sucking up the whole site" statement was to see if anybody else on this forum also felt that SH was retarded and useless. When I wrote the statement I wasnt even thinking of the bandwidth, but you know whatever.
Also, I like the frontal assault combined with the punch in the back of the neck but instead of a punch in the back of the neck id say go for the kidneys. i think ill do it right after i turn in my exam.
Well, I think it's like DiMono said: SH has a somewhat different style of humor than P.A.N.I.C.S. or RvB. If that brand of humor doesn't work out with your own, then you probably won't like it. You might get the jokes, you just won't think they're funny.
I know that's how I was when I first started watching SH. I hated the thing, and I wanted it to die a painful death, prefereably by stabbing. I've grown to like it (even if I don't know what's changed) so maybe you'll end up liking it.
Either way, that's cool. It's just an internet webcomic video thing. No big deal.
strangerhood sux SO badly. its boring and not funny. i think that they should just stop production and only work on red vs blue and panics. im not being sarcastic either.
Each series will have it's own differences (good or bad) and it's own veiwers who like it or dislike it. For example, first was the Simpsons, then came Futurama, then along came Family Guy and American Dad. Now, there might be people that only like 2 shows out of those 4. But that doesn't mean they should cancel the other 2 shows. Someone will ALWAYS watch. Go on with what your doing RT. I think it's all good stuff. As long as you keep spitting it out, I'll keep mopping it up. I would rather watch it all on dvd in hour long sessions, but who am I to make demands. Keep em' comin!
SH will always be different from anything else out. And it's not for everyone. RT said when they launched it that not all RvB fans would love it. But it appeals to others. If you've tried to Machinima with the Sims or any other game, you'll know how hard it is to do, let alone make interesting stories.
It is weird and I would have to agree with some of the comments regarding the first for episodes. It still has plenty of potential to become a really great series. So, it's been pretty funny. I mean, really, huh!
My friend of mine whom I often reminess about RvB doesn't like SH, I enjoy it however. With alot of studio they just kinda make they same senerios and it gets boring. Like with fuzzy door (Family guy). I don't like american dad at all. It's just family guy, but with more political humor (just a side note, I luv family guy XD). With SH and RvB they have to completely different scenerios with completey differeent characters that are going in very different directions. I like it.
i just finished the last episode last night. after i fell asleep watching it, and i woke up with my laptop making my legs all sweaty, i suddenly realized that perhaps it isn't nearly as good as rvb. and i need a new fan in my laptop.
i think cuz we all saw rvb first we have seriously high expectations. Plus the sims is already set up for this type of communication. i mean we expect sims characters to talk and have "relationships" but we don't expect the rvb guys to have them. it is against halo's reputation for blood and gore and machines. i think the RT team should move onto something a little less obvious than the sims. Then it might be funny. or bring back PANICS. which was great.
Plus hearing caboose's voice and mannerisms creep out (on occasion) in strangerhood just hits home for me that i would rather be watching rvb than sh anyday.
I for one, think they should keep stangerhood going. Because I don't like red vs. blue, yeah I think it's funny but, It isn't my dear Sims 2. Gamewise, I like the Sims 2 more then I like Halo. (Stone Me) I played Halo with my brother but just like the show the game gives me a color headache. Let's just face it the constant colors in RvB are boring. The grass is green, they're red and blue. Wow. That bores me. Gun shots in the game hurt my brain.
I love the sims 2. Love it. If it were a man I would ask it to marry me. Will Wright is a genius, and my saviour for making a game that so many like me have wanted all our lives.
RT does a great...or rather fantastic job at using Sims 2 and making these movies. Like someone said about Sims 2 movie making is a skill beyond RvB. There are no mouths moving in that one, and you can pretty much sit them anywhere by controller. Look at the way their mouths move in Strangerhood, they're almost exactly matched with the words. With the all of the actions that Sims do, and mouth movement it's hard to find words or put in words. So you're sitting there all day trying to fill them in with something.
The Strangerhood is linked on the Sims 2 site, out of all the movies users make everyday out of the sims 2, Strangerhood was one that got linked. For one, because it is more professional, and visually pleasing then the amatuer movies that the members of sims2.com make. Secondly, RT did a beautiful job at putting it together. They used all the componets to the Sims 2 to their advantage.
All I'm saying is stop being ignorant and comparing the Strangerhood to RvB. You cannot compare them. They are two different games, one a war type of game the other a simulation of life. The only thing they have in common is that RT made them. Strangerhood not only has fans that are members of this site, but it has fans who are members of sims2.com. There are probably more members on Sims2.com than there are on RT's website. Strangerhood has fans from all over the world, just like RvB.
I would have to say though that Strangerhood is reaching other countries that RvB is not reaching like Japan for example. For some odd reason the whole of Japan does not like Halo, what makes you think they'll like RvB? on the otherhand games like Sims 2, Sim City, and the new Will Wright baby Spore are/ are going to be selling like crazy over there.
Not everyone likes the Sims 2, but not everyone likes Halo. Rooster Teeth probably made the Sims 2 to attract a new set of fans and also because they enjoyed the visual beauty and unique qualities of the game itself. They should not just stop making it because less than half of the members of this site hate it.
