Personally my liking of SH is just because its one of the newer forms of internet media...bitter sarcasm in daily articles is old, flash videos are old, java games are old, and all television concepts forever are old. Underground productions on the internet are where media producers meet the freedom of not having to work for ratings...its where we are going to find the best quality material and concurrently the worst quality material...and SH is okay and pretty funny sometimes but I see potential that it could get really good.
Ok the strangerhoodwas not very good in the beginning but it has got better. Now it's almost as good as redvsblue. It will probaby never be as good as redvsblue but it is still great and will only get better from now on.
I liked it. Was it stellar? No but first seasons rarely are, its gotta do a lot of brick laying work. Even with that it was funny and no Im not kissin butt because honestly I doubt the RT boys even bother reading these posts. They enjoy what they do and I suspect they dont care much what others think. Anyway. I really think it was good (new, creative, funny and a bit odd). What was with the one guys refrigerator fetish anyway?
I know this probably doesn't have to do with whatever you guys are talking about right now, but I'm really desperate to find any downloads for the Sims 2 with Strangerhood related things, like lots, sims (pref. Dr. Chalmers 'cause I already have the other seven) and other stuuf that is Strangerhood related. If you have any answers and/or links to those kind of downloads, send me a personal message.
P.S.: I have made Sam and Wade's and Grigg's house and put them on the sims 2 website. My username is the same as my RT one. Look under "Marcinowski" and you'll find Sam and Wade's and Grigg's house.
i thought it wasn't that goos until like ep 12 or 11. then the storyline actually started to mean something more. not all the eps made me laugh but from like 12 onwards it was funny. studios were also very funny in my opinion. every one made me laugh.
I just can't seem so get through the first episode of SH. I keep trying to watch it but i just get bored and drift away until I realize i'm not paying attention and go do something else. I love the Sims 2 and I was really hoping I would enjoy it more. The first episode or RvB had me falling out of my chair it was just sooo...idk there was something about it I just can't seem to find in SH.
I'm not saying either is better than the other. Everyone can have their own opinon so saying things like IT SUX doesn't really help. Lot's of people like Strangerhood, but I think I'll juts keep hopeing for a new RvB ;)
I watched Strangerhod but didn't find it as entertaining as RT other stuff. But it still has it's funny moments. Of course I'm sure alot people on here would say the same about RvB, Panic, or 1800magic
Well, RvB really faded out. Season 1 - 2 were hilarious, and even parts of season three. But as soon as they moved into halo 2, it fell to pretty much crap. 1-800 magic wasn't that good, which is probably why they stopped. SH was boring at first, then got better, and then got to too much.
It was a decent distraction from Red vs Blue, that one guy with a tatoo on his face reminds me of Sarge. But the main reason I posted here is because I am one post away from the next karma level, and it annoys me to be so close.
In reply to lennerd, #1: Well, I still think everyone will like RvB to anything else, because let's be honest, it halirious and better than television shows, but the reason I found out about RT is throught the Strangerhood, and sure it's confusing as to why they've lost their memory and all, but it was still pretty funny. Plus the first episodes are setting up the storyline. Plus, not every RT show can be just some guys shooting stuff. I'm not saying the RT shows are boring because of that, because I like all of their shows, and they put lots of effort into making them.
I watched The Strangerhood a couple months before I watched Red vs Blue because it was a short series I could download using RealPlayer, so I went in fresh without having to compare it and... well, it was a nice distraction. Some parts were laugh-out-loud hilarious, others amusing, but there'd usually be a long lag between funny jokes that kind of bored me. The ending I could pretty much predict a mile away. *laughs*
I love how I don't log on for more than half a year, and randomly there are people still commenting in this thread. Let's try to finalize this... 1) We all suck for keeping this thread alive 2) Strangerhood wasn't quite as good as RvB, but was still funny. 3) Roosterteeth rocks for putting so much entertainment on the web for us to watch for free.
