Big Boss created Outer Heaven, his goal was to create a world where heros were honored (Cause The Boss was remembered for betraying her country and not for pretty much winning WW2.) Snake then killed Big Boss at Outer Haven. Big Boss returned in Metal Gear 2 at the end. Snake killed him agian, and Big Boss revealed to Snake that he was his father.
Big Boss was always considered a villian but after MGS3 his motives became more clear and understandible.
I've only played MGS: 2 Sons of Liberty, and that was awesome...Too bad the white haired guy (I believe his name was Raiden or Raiten or something of that sort) took over for Snake. I think it permanently damaged me when I saw him naked...
MGS is a great series, though I think 2 let it down a bit, they left all the weapons too near the end, but it was still awesome, loved the camo index on 3
MGS is a great game because anyone can pick it up and play. I always start on "easy" (not "very easy") and then work my way up to hard. Also I HATE Splinter Cell, if I wanted to wait around for 20 to study a guards motions I wouldn't waste it on a game. MGS at least gives you the option to go guns blazing. And on top of all that the storylines can't be beat, I might buy a PS3 just for MGS4!
I really enjoy the metal gear series! i have 1,2,3, Vr Missions and i think 3 was really In depth with the camo index and how if you got it right bad guys could be right in front of you and they couldnt see you i thought that was really cool and i agree on the guns blazing or go stealth with it. I <3 MGS!
One of the best game series of all time. Each game was a truely memorable expierence. I think MGS3 was the only game that actually made me shed a tear. I'm really looking forward to the next release on PS3.
MGS3 was kinda sad at the end. But it does explain a lot if you played the other two, i have only played Snake Eater(PS2) and Substance(Xbox). So i was a little lost in the story.
I love the mgs series, completed each of them on extreme mode, and Collected all of he dog tags from mgs2.. I agree that the ending for MGS3 is quite emotional..My favorite part has to be when you Knock out that high ranked officer that has an uncanny Resemblance to Raiden from MGS2, Looks to me as if hideo realised he made a mistake with that long haired rookie girly boy...And Gave us the gamer a little opportunity to vent somewhat ^_^
In MGS4: Guns of the patriots, there is a war between 2 nations. You can form an alliance with one of them or you don't have to form an alliance with them.
I love metal gear solid. I have the whole Metal Gear SOLID saga in my room. I know almost everything about the second one and have beaten it so many times I can replay the game in my head....don't ask I just can....
Here is what I have Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty Metal Gear Solid 2 the Document Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater I will soon have MGS3 subsistence when it comes out
