Info:
Airs: Monday 8:30 PM on CBS (30 mins)
Status: New Series
Premiered September 19, 2005
Show Category: Comedy

I've only watched the first three episodes of this series, and for me, it makes the 'friends hanging out in a bar' story interesting. For me, it fills the gap left by Friends that Joey failed to fill. It's similar to Friends, except that this is more about friendships than relationships (Quite ironic, Friends wasn't really about friendship).

I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the first season and look forward to many more seasons to come!

FYI: I did a search on 'How I Met Your Mother' and nothing showed up, so if there is an existing thread, blame search.

Shit I love Barney. He has so many good quotes.

But I do hope that Robyn and Ted get together in the end, but he doesn't unfortunately (Damn the first episode spoiling it! Saying at the end "And that's the story of how I met...............your Aunt Robyn).

No!

Lily and Marshall can't have broken up. But good to see Robyn and Ted finally together.

Damn, this week's episode is HILARIOUS. I am going to start engaging in so many slap bets. Greatest. Betting. Idea. Ever.

Oh and next week has Wayne Brady as Barney's BROTHER. Hilarity must ensue.

I really liked the song 'To The Mall' in this weeks episode and downloaded it off the MySpace page for Robyn Sparkles:

It's really catchy. Am yes, I'm looking forward to next week's episode too.

I think the funniest episode is Stuff, it's the one where Barney stages the worst possible play he can, just to piss off Lily.

and it ends with a call back to the slap bet. I had tears of laughter in my eyes.

Due to this show, my friends and I have become major users of the 'slap bet'. Perhaps the greatest TV moment in history.

I saw the episode this past Monday and I think I know who owns the yellow umbrella. Anyone care to guess? That's right, it's...wait for it...the mother. At least that's what I think.

This show would be twice as good if it didn't have the laughter track. That really bugs me. Other than that it's pretty good.

I'm not 100% sure but I think they've already said that the mother has to do with the yellow umbrella.

Is it me or is that not Cobie Smulders who plays Robyn in the photo at the top? Did they change actresses between Pilot and series or is it just my eyesight?

You know, if Sarah Chalke became the mother, I would not be disappointed at all. But my roommate has already assured me that she can't be so damn.

I bloody love this show. Have to watch it on the internets though, I don't think they aired any past Season One over here, not that I'm aware of anyway. Wondering if we'll get a DVD release of Season Two at any point, I need it to survive.

It makes me want to buy a suit from a ukrainian guy in the back of a pet store.

Um, how are people not posting on this regularly?!

This is a great show, and I'm so psyched that Robin and Barney hooked up!
