Is there a book that you can't remember the name of? Instead of starting a new thread every time someone has this happen, post what you can remember about it here, and hopefully someone will be able to help you.
All off-topic posts and chatter will be deleted. Continuing off-topic posting and/or spamming will get you a timed ban.
good idea with these threads :D they will definently save people from making useless messages, but from my watchlist i thought you'd gone mad with forgetfullness :D
I borrowed a book called Rommel: The desert fox from a friend of mine ... and in it, makes reference to a book on military docterain or tactics that Rommel published (highly influenced by the Nazi Propaganda Dept. so it was said) ... I'd really like to know if anyone can remember the name of Rommel's book ... its doubtful I'll get a chance to borrow Rommels Biography from my friend again ... and I remember the biography being published in the 50's? .. so i doubt I can get a copy either ...
Hopefully someone has a copy and can look it up for me!
This guy has wanted to be an undertaker his entire life, and when he graduates high school, he becomes an apprentice to an undertaker. He then falls in love with this guy's daughter, who is very morbid. Hilarity ensues.
Sort of.
I borrowed this book from this girl I knew, and totally forgot the name once I gave it back. And now I want to read it again. Any help?
I read a book once where there were magicians who once a year used their agic to clean out the city of all the vagrants / homeless etc. While they were doing this they protected themselves with a force field. There was a young girl who was involved in a protest, she threw a rock and it broke through the field, and sconned one of the magicians. Girls were not supposed to be able to do magic, so they tracked her down and eventually started to train her.
This was the first in a series, but the next books were yet to be written. I read this book so long ago I can't remember the name, so I can't find out if the author ever wrote any more.
I read a book (part of a series, read most of them, but still) with archaeologists. A family of them, a father and his daughter and son, and they find things like dragon chambers and stuff, and I can't remember the names. I think the girl's name was Leila.
ok a while ago i read this book about a kid in like the future and like he finds this dragon thing that can like turne 2-D and become like a tatttoe on the kids arm and they find out about some secret plot or soemthing i think
A very odd request... it's a kids book I read many many years ago, about two boys (brothers or something) who somehow ended up in a World where there were fat people and skinny people and they were fighting each other, with cannons and such like. Of course on of the brothers was fat, and one thin... and two races of people may have been the "fatties" and the "skinnies". It was 15 years ago I read it so apologies for being vague.
Also, I'm not discounting to possibility I may have made this book up in my head...
i dont think anyone is going to tell us what are books are. the guy before me posted a week ago and i posted 4 days ago and still nothing. this might take a while
Every book mentioned sounds like the shit I used to read back in elementary school back when story and substance meant absolutely dick. What the fuck is wrong with you people.
magicians guild is right. i love that book. then she gets sent to a covent and ITS attacked and the book ends without finding out what the hell happens
I read a book once about a girl who went into a kind of coma, only, in her head she was a fox in another world, and she had to go on this quest, and she met this guy on the quest, but because she'd been in the coma so long she died in the real world, but that made her turn back into a woman in the other world. It sounds crap but that's just coz iread it so long ago i can't remember all that much except it was a really good read. The author was either Mary Hooper or Mary Hoffman. Something like that.
