So...has anyone else played Killer Bunnies? Did you enjoy it? Do you have expansion packs? Seriously, it's one of the least serious games ever, and very fun. If you haven't tried it, you should check it out. Do a Google search for it.
This is a card game only. The idea is simple, you want to collect carrots. In order to get carrots, you need to have bunnies. So the true purpose of the game is really to keep your bunnies alive and murder everyone else's. We have the original and all the expansions so far. What happens is you have a base set of cards that about 4 people can play with. As you add expansions to the game, new features are added that may gameplay more strategic and evil. There is one more expansion yet to come out at this time, but at the end of it all, you have around 750 cards that make up your Bunnies deck.
Everyone draws from the same deck, and it is not a CCG, so you buy an expansion pack, and you don't need to buy it again, unless you wear out your cards by playing with them (or nawing on them). We have had up to 8 people playing at one time, and it gets pretty crazy with everyone trying to make deals and treaties with each other so you don't get attacked. I highly recommend the game. And its great for kids too, but if you have really little ones, there is another game called KinderBunnies, which is the younger crowd version. And yes, you can mix Kinder and Killer Bunnies together, some cards even refer to others in the games to allow for this if you are feeling really brave.
It may be a messed up name for a game but the game is really awesome. You can get a starter pack at really any store that sells board/card games for like $30 (Probably less in the US, I'm Canadian so that's the price you get from me)
I have this game and several of the booster sets for it, I think I am only missing 4 of them. I love this game. Whenever we have a gaming party or get together I bring it as my "GO TO GAME". It can take awhile for players to catch on but once you do the game is a riot. Some people are a little put off because it is hard to win, with everyone against each other. But when we play we make deals with other players, trade cards and just laugh our asses off. The cards are very funny and full of puns. I highly recommend this game. I Killer Bunnies
Yes when I bought the very first starter kit it was the blue deck with bonus yellow booster deck. Then through gifts and buying them myself I got red, violet, orange, green, perfectly pink and wacky khaki. So I am only missing twilight white, stainless steel and ominous onyx. But I can't find those three here in London so I will have to get them online or out of town.
Really funny did you get any bunnies or carrots in that deck? I think that if you are enjoying the violet deck you really should buy as much of the rest as you can. I am still on the look out for the three I need. It's a worth while investment cause of the replay value of the game.
