As far as I know, the GCN controller works with all VC games...

It does not work with every game.

Every article I've read says it works with most games. Don't count on it forever. (I have yet to find a list of games it won't work on, but there are obviously some.)

When you buy a VC game, it will tell you (by a picture) what controllers will work. The classic controller, the GCN controller or both

Er, here's a question...

When connecting to the Shop channel for the first time, it asks me if I want to connect my MyNintendo account to my Wii account, or whatever. I obviously do (yes, I do have a MyNintendo account already), and when I click the box to type my stuff in... Nothing happens. I get that cursor line saying it's ready for me to type something... But I have no way to type it.

It seems like I'm missing something really obvious, so if someone could enlighten me, that'd be fantastic. Thanks.

Uh, okay. Update on that.

I skipped that step, went to the settings thing, went to the place where you enter that exact info... And a keyboard came up this time.

I swear it wouldn't come up the first time.

Does anyone know exactly what the Mii Parade does?

Other people's Miis walk through your screen, so far as I can tell.

Not much more.

(Don't quote me on that, though, I haven't done one yet.)

Yeah, they just walk down the screen, and you can pick them up and add them to your plaza.

I'd say it would copy them.

So the parade itself does nothing, until you grab them/whatever?

The Mii's will automatically go to the parade. There is really no way to control that. And it's the Mii's that you already have on your console that will parade

I did a parade earlier today and none of them were from my console.

All the Mii's in all the world's Wii's just stroll through the parade randomly, from what I've heard. No way to control it at all.

I'm pretty sure it's only your friends' Miis (and maybe your own, I don't know). I've tried doing a parade without any friends on my list, and it hasn't worked at all ("Nobody's here, try back later").

so i called up nintendo about that controller disconnect problem, and i figured it would help to put the result in here in case anyone else has that problem.
they told me to take the batteries out for a couple minutes to reset the wiimote, and that seemed to fix it. i haven't played long enough after that to be sure though. they also said that it might be because the bluetooth from my computer (which sits right next to it) could be interefering with the wiimote bluetooth.

My system locked up on me. I was loading wii sports and it just stopped. It wouldn't let me go to home, nor even shut down. I pushed the button on the remote and consol so whut it down. Nothing. I had to unplug it. Ever since though, no problems. Anybody else's do this yet? And has the glitched update been fixed?

I have not had that problem.

But... The "glitched update"? If you mean the 110213 error, there's a thread specifically for that.

Does anyone else have any problems connecting to the wii shop channel? about half the time it takes me two trys to " hook up ", my guess is that there are so many people wanting to d/l games and looking for the internet channel that it gets cloged up. but like i said thats just my guess.

It usually takes me a while, and I've been disconnected once.

But, yeah, I'd say it's just due to traffic or whatnot.

You can steal 'em? Or do you have to give them back?

They just get added to your Mii Plaza (if you pick them up and drag them to "Add to Plaza). Your friend still has his Mii, but now you can use his Mii as a playable, or add it to his avatar in your address book.

I need help getting my online service to work. (I already asked Zatch and he told me to call nintendo Support but they keep me on hold. Sorry if you have to listen to this again)

I do all the steps they tell me to, I choose "wireless" then I choose which connection I want to use, I enter the passcode needed for it and then it asks me if I want to test the connection. I click "Yes" but eventually it says "You are not connected to the internet" along with an error number. The thing is the wireless device is literally two feet away from my Wii. It is also giving a wireless connection to my sisters computer all the way upstairs, so I don't know why it shouldn't work.

Would anyone be able to help me out?

In reply to hobbie, #89:

Can I get that error code for you later? Unfortunately my sister is at that t.v with some of her friends at the moment.

But it basically says:
Error (number)

You were unable to connect to the internet. Please visit support.nintendo.com or check the manuel.

I was hoping I could check here before waiting on hold again.

How can I configure my wireless connection for the Wii, if thats possible?

Definitely sounds like a firewall problem to me.

Did the error code start with a 5? And, if so, was it five digits? If so, there's a 99% chance it's a firewall issue.

In reply to wizardmon5, #92:

I'm almost positive is started with a 5. I had that problem while trying to use XBC a while back, most likely the problem. Do I simply disable the firewall on my computer?

In reply to infiltrate, #93:

You might try disabling the firewall and see if it works after that. If not, that would eliminate that as an issue. (If it does work, but you don't want the firewall off, there are ways around it.)

And, as Hobbie said, if you can get the error code, the Nintendo.com forums are a great resource.

It isn't a firewall problem. I just checked and my firewall is disabled. I am going to go to the nintendo.com forums now but if there is anything else you guys can do the error number code was 52031

See if this helps. It's Nintendo's official page about that error.
