I'm a complete Halo addict. I have all of the books (except Uprising) and all of the games, and I've read/played them all MULTIPLE times. I LOVE the Halo Universe; it is, without a doubt, the richest fictional universe I've ever encountered - even more so than the Dune universe.
I'm not saying your wrong there the Halo universe is rich and full of good places, people and things. But the Star Wars universe, although it has started to lose the plot because of Lucas, is just a slightly bit bigger and richer.
Or rather a lack thereof. I mean yeah, he created the series and all, but I think he no longer cares. That's not HIS fault specifically, just the fault of the writers and directors that took the reigns in his absence. What the makers of this "Clone Wars" CGI series completely failed to understand is, Star Wars is not something "For kids", it's just something that kids happen to enjoy. The original movies were made just as much for a mature audience as they were for a younger one, if not MORESO towards an adult audience! By making something that appeals only to children, you're only alienating the majority of your audience.
But this is getting a tad off Halo discussion now.
Getting back on Topic, as a result of my love of the Halo Webshow "Arby N the Chief" which although for a time was lack-luster, has improved dramatically in the last two years, having just concluded another series, I looked around my Halo Reach figures and made armour-for-armour and weapon-for-weapon replicas of The Arbiter and Master Cheif's Xbox Live ingame avatars. The Arby one is as he appears in the show, Grey Spec-Ops with DMR. (Took the one from Carter on the Noble Team statue. It fits an Elite's frame much better than the ordinary one) and green male spartan with defaul chestpeice, some average shoulders and a recon helmet + AR. Can't show them off right now, in college. I will as soon as I can take pictures.
You know you love Halo when you really are not that excited for Halo 4, as you've gotten bored of Master Chief as a character and prefer his further developed and more believable character in the novels, and would prefer to see some of the expanded universe instead of following the cheif some more.
