April 1st is a special day for us here at RoosterTeeth, as it marks the anniversary of the first Red vs Blue episode we ever posted, way back in 2003. We always want to pause on occasions such as this to thank all of you for supporting RvB over the years. We try to say it as often as we can; the people of this community do so much for us by keeping us inspired and motivated to create every day. And the sponsors especially deserve our gratitude by supporting us in (if I may borrow a phrase) "a rent and food" kind of way. It's hard to believe that today marks four years of producing the series and with this week's release, we are 6 episodes from Episode 100. It seems like just yesterday that we started working on what we thought was going to be a mini-series that was intended to run six episodes in total.
Producing RvB and getting to know the people who watch it have been two of the greatest joys of my life. That's why we wanted to let you all know first that Episode 100 is going to be the last installment of The Blood Gulch Chronicles. One hundred is a great number, and it seems like the perfect place to call it a show. I am sure you have some questions about our plans for the series and beyond. We will be talking about all of that in the weeks and months to come, but I want to use this time to thank all of you for nearly half a decade of support. For now, it's back to work. From the recent developments in the storyline, you may have noticed some loose ends coming together and we have a lot to wrap up in the last seven videos. We hope you will love them as much as the first seven or the middle seven or whatever it was that initially drew you to the world of Red vs Blue.
thanks to every single one of you who made this possible.this has been the greatest four years of my life. i couldn't, wouldn't imagine it any other way.
third...
and thanks everybody. It has been strange knowing for a while exactly what episode 100 meant and not being able to talk about it. I'm glad the cat is out of the bag.
What can I say Burnie. It was a great run. Myself and probably a lot of members on the site would most likely protest to the end of the Blood Gulch Chronicles, but it's your decision and we shall respect it.
I can't wait to see what else you guys have in store for us in the near future.
I sadly missed out on the whole first year pretty much, but I've loved this show and well I guess you all know the benefits it's sent my way. I hope this does feel like a dream come true for all of you as it really does for myself.
5 seasons, 100 episodes, I guess that technically makes Red vs Blue better than anything HBO every produced.
and I still don't know what happens at the end... so no one spoil it for me okay?
Rooster Teeth is so awsome! I am going to miss Red Vs Blue when it is gone. I just wish I would have known about this place earlier than I first started watching. Still cant wait to see how you guys pull everything together!
IT kicked ass and i cant wait to see what crazy funny ass shit u guys come up with. u guys have given us inspiration as much as we have to u. thanks!!!
Wow, four years. And they were all KICK ASS years. I can't believe you're going to end it, but I know you'll come up with amazing stuff in the future. Thank you guys! We're all going to miss Red vs BLue
That's how it starts, I guess. You plan a little thing and it turns into a big thing... very big. All went well for RoosterTeeth Productions in the past four years, hopefully all goes well in the coming years. *Cheers*
I love the series, and I've been watching it all 4 years now...
But you know...last year it was removing all the Moderators...
the year before that I also believe you guys claimed RvB was coming to an end.
So I'm not taking this seriously, until the 100th episode says "And Caboose saved the day with this smartness." and I see "The End" at the end of the 100th episode. I'm not falling for it 4 years in a row. No way.
Edit: Not to mention you guys got a new office, I'm sure you'd do that when ending the series that put you on top. No company would move into a BIGGER office when they're finishing off the only product that makes them money. Even if you had a new series, you're uncertain about the money it would make you, so moving into a new office makes no sense.
Congratulations on your success. By success, I mean doing what you love and then finding a way to make a living from it -- not just money for the sake of money.
The content draws people in and makes them return each week for episodes, but it's the community that makes us set up camp here permanently. I've left here more than once, but always come back because of the circle of friends (and now, a "significant other") I've found here.
Kudos to the web designers because without the great format here, this could have turned into something like hiddeous like myspace.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into every aspect of this place.
As someone who kept checking back every week after the demise of Drunk Gamers (the picture of General MacArther made me obsess about it), I am thrilled at your success.
Wow. Time flies. And yes, finding a 'significant other' here is something I will never be able to express gratitude for properly.
WOW. i mean i just started to be a sponsor but dang. I cant be live that it will all end.:[ but I know deep down inside that you guys will make something even better with all your minds. I cant wait to see what comes out next
I'm sorry to trivialize these words, but they're stuck in my head: "If I have seen farther than others it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants."
That is to say, thank you Burnie, Matt, Gus, Dan, Geoff, Grif, Kathleen, Joel, your awesome families, and everyone else for being giants, for letting me ride on your coattails, and for creating a world that is so inspiring. You guys are professionals, especially when you're drunk.
Thank you everyone, from the people who welcomed me during the .php forums, who probably didn't know how fucking terrified I was when that first version of Blood Gulch Blues went up for sponsors, to more recent members, who embraced the music for RvB, SH, and PANICS with an open mind and a warm heart, and who offered their friendship and support.
RvB has been a main stapel of my weekends for the past couple years. Will be sad to see Blood Gulch Chronicales come to a end. However, i am sure the new ideas that will spring forth from Roosterteeth Productions will definitly make up for this loss. You all have produced great content for laughter and have come along way from your early years in machinma. My hat is off to each and every one of you. And ofcourse a very large heartfilled Thank you!

. . . I'll believe this part when you say it on any other day. Just not today. It's hard to believe they would stop just before Halo 3 comes out. Especially since the announcment came out on the first of April.
Ditto what everyone else said!! I have been here for a few years now and have never regretted any of the time I have spent here. You all are the most creative and well produced bunch of gamers around.
I've been here since the second ep, and it's been a blast.
That's when I joined up too. A couple days after episode 2 was released, I think. It's still my favorite episode, and I'll always remember the first time I saw it.
Thanks so much RT for years and years of pure entertainment. I look forward to everything that you do for us.
