If this happens, I will cease to exist in the real world.
So I really don't want it to, regardless of quality and how I feel about the integrity of the series as a whole. I am wary of the concept though, I don't want it to be another TOR.
An industry source that wishes to remain anonymous revealed the name of the new MMO to us, and confirmed that the game would take place a full millennium before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Using the Elder Scrolls Wiki timeline as a guide, Elder Scrolls Online will likely take place during the "Second Era," or several hundred years before any of the other Elder Scrolls games. This information was corroborated by two additional sources before publication.
Elder Scrolls Online will have three playable factions, according to the tipster. Not much is known about the factions, except each is represented by one of three animals: A lion, a dragon, and a bird of prey (either a phoenix or an eagle, we aren't sure).
A May 2012 announcement would likely be followed by some sort of presence at E3, the annual Los Angeles video game convention. The game would also be shown at Quakecon 2012 in August, along with id Software's Doom 4 and several other titles.
If its 2nd Era this would mean its most likely during the reign of the Akaviri potentate or right around the end of the Era with Tiber Septim conquering all of Tamriel.
As for the factions my guesses are,
Dragon: Empire. Lion: Fuck if I know. Phoenix/Eagle: Fuck if I know.
It's fairly obvious one faction will be the Empire, the others could be something Aldmeri, Akaviri, or even Morrowind and the Tribunal maybe.
The Dragon is most likely the Empire, of course, but at a pinch could be Akavir I guess. Phoenix makes me think of the Dunmer and the Tribunal, but I don't remember anything actually linking them, Eagle would suggest the Aldmeri more imo. Lion I'm not sure about.
Lion I want to say is either Colovian Kingdoms or the various Kingdoms in High Rock. I'm taking the time to look through the UESP to see if there's any mention of an Eagle/Phoenix or Lion for banners.
Looks like it works, but I'm not sure about how well it will distinguish voice commands. I like the custom sort options for the inventory, like by weight or value. Yelling your shouts at the TV sounds cool, but I'm not going to learn the dragon language just to save 2 seconds.
Yup, the video has him yelling the different shouts without going to the menu. I'd probably use Fus Ro Dah and that's about it. Seems like a well done integration of Kinect though.
Question: If you get a room at say the Companions or the College of Winterhold, does that count as storage as well? saving items to recover them later?
This was posted on Bethesda's facebook page. Either its in relation to a Skyrim Expansion, widely believed due to Bethesda trademarking Skyrim Dawnguard and other people believe it could be Fallout 4.
Kinda hard to tell. Despite one being fantasy and the other sci-fi, both contain old men wearing raggy clothes.
Ulfric Stormcloak. Bethesda posted the image on their facebook page from what I understand, along with the word 'Tomarrow'. It can be speculated that its going to be news about the next expansion for Skyrim, possibly having something to do with Ulfric's past.
How would an expansion pack centered around someone other than our player character work? Switching perspectives? Going back in time and screwing with things?
