Should you be allowed to have a license and drive a 4,000 pound vehicle if you can't manage to park it at low speeds between two white lines?

I wanna know how this person is able to change lanes on the freeway without ripping the sides of other cars off.

The car in the next spot over was parked correctly, and there were about 100 open spaces all around the lot, there was no need to park that close to me, but they did.

I think the DMV should have field scouts checking for these morons, if you can't seem to park, maybe you should not be behind the wheel at all....

What other things do you see on a daily basis that people should have their license revoked for?

EDIT:
This is too important to not have posted on the main page:

What's the size limit on threads?
Even basics such as using indicators are really lacking around Memphis.

Even tonight on the way home from work I was following a car that would just randomly brake( about 6-7 times in a row), with no traffic in front or beside it to cause it.

A roundabout has relatively newly installed near me and people can't seem to figure out how to use it, I see near misses daily.

But to be honest with the driver testing and traffic enforcement system here is a joke. So no real surprise that the roads here are not really fun to be on.

All of these are extremely common around here:

Anyone who uses a cell phone while driving really needs to have their license revoked. Mythbusters proved that a cell phone is more impairing than drunkeness.

Slowtards. People who drive 45 in a 55 are assuming the limit is 45, because they do not know the speed limit. That means that they do not observe road signs, and they should have failed their initial test.

People who leave door dings on other cars. If you can't safely operate a fucking door, you can't drive a car.

People who blast music in neighborhoods at 1 AM should be banned from driving and have their cars confiscated and sold at auction. If their car doesn't sell, they have to push the button to start a car crusher with their piece-of-shit-mobile inside it.

Tailgaters, especially ones who ride too close when you're already going 10 or 15 over.

Cops who speed, run stop signs, and do not use turn signals with the lights and sirens Off.

i have to drive through the Barrio to get to work, so i have a million of these.

Stop driving around the railroad crossing barriers, i have no sympathy for the artards that get hit by trains

They need to out law plastic spinners, especially on a 1990 minivan with mismatched doors.

They also need to arrest the pedestrians that cross against a red light with their 3 year olds in tow. i even saw a guy standing on the corner (actually waiting for the light) with his kid in a stroller in the street, while he was on the sidewalk. Perhaps a Law against stupid people breeding. That would be great, when you turn 18 they give you an IQ test. below say 100 you get castrated. If you have a baby before your 18 you automatically get castrated at 18........and every tax payer gets to slap you in the back of the head.

Pretty much everything that has been mentioned and a few I would like to add:

* anyone who lacks basic break-down etiquette.
I see people all the time who freak out the minute something goes wrong on their car. This should be a required part of the driver's exam.
* Also, being able to change a flat tire should be part of the driving test.
* People who stop on a 4 lane road because of a school bus. Bus drivers aren't allowed to let kids walk across a 4 lane road and you don't need to stop of the bus is oncoming to you.
* Cops who use their sirens wrongfully. IE: using the berries and cherries to get through a red light or stop sign.
* Off-duty cops who speed without the sirens and lights going.
* Anyone who doesn't pull over for a truck stopped along side the road in a break-down situation. I don't want to hit anyone who's walking out from between the truck and trailer or is getting out of the truck.
* Anyone who doesn't pull over a lane for a cop stopped on the side of the road with the lights on. We've all seen the videos of cops or their cars getting hit by people who didn't pull over a lane.
* First DUI or DWI should be immediate license revocation for one year. There is no excuse for driving drunk or under the influence.
* Tailgaters should have their speed limit reduced to 55 mph max. If I can't see your headlights, YOU'RE WAY TO FLIPPIN CLOSE! If I can't see your hood, I'm slammin on the breaks. I got insurance. If you're in a hurry, you need to learn to leave earlier and leave time for traffic.
* Anyone who have a bunch of crap hanging from the rear view mirror or stupid window chalk covering the car should be issued a fine equaling the value of that which is on/in the window. That crap hampers vision and creates blind spots
* Anyone who speeds and weaves in and out of traffic like its a slalom or race course should have a fine equal to 10% of the value of every car/truck they passed.
* Speeding fines should be based on person's annual income. Rich people shouldn't get a break for breaking the law.

That's all I can think of right now.

To reply to you question, no, you shouldn't be allowed to drive if you can't park.
But you live in Cali, so these things called "laws" and "common sense" have no meaning...

That's like a $1200 to $2500 fine here.

But if it's a two-lane road, you have to slow down and ride on the side of the lane as far as possible.

Snow plows that drive 40 mph.

Idiots who pull out in front of me and do 25 mph because there is snow on the ground (not on the road).

Idiots who pull out right in front of me, drive in the middle of the road so I can't get pass them, and not look in the mirror or their windshield.

People that can't look in the mirror or over their shoulder when the change lanes.

People that think that others on the road know the exact moment they need to change lanes.

People that don't understand that while changing lanes, if you hear a horn honk behind you, that means the driver you're about to hit is paying attention and warning you that you are about to hit him! Don't keep moving into the other lane jackass!!

Half of Los Angeles.

Women. I'm sorry to say this but almost every time I see a bad driver it is a woman.

Cell phone users.

People who think it's smart to turn right into the farthest left lane when I am heading there at 40 mph.

People who box others in by going slow enough so that you can't pass, but not fast enough so that you can let them go.

Its too dangerous that these girls at my school can drive! They crash every car but their parents are rich enough to afford the $2000 a month insurance bill and another new car. That money should not pay off the risk of My life, your life, my families life to have your daughter to obtain the so called privelage to drive.

Anyone driving anything that big should be able to back it in. Anyone who drives big vehicles with any kind of respect for their surroundings backs in because it's the only way to see when you're leaving. Pickup drivers do this a lot. SUV drivers should.

Here's a thought...

If you're legally parked and the other asshole is clearly too close or over the line, take a picture of their license plate, and a bunch of pictures of the damage after you've beat their door up, then sue them for causing an accident.

As retarded as America's legal system has become, you're sure to win!

I have always believed that there should be more license classes, not just big groups like motorcycle, car, and tractor-trailer. A class for SUV's and trucks would be good, as would a couple for sports cars and exotics. And people should also be licensed to drive in the winter. Too many people forget how to drive as soon as snow falls.

That's regional though. Where I live we get like 8 months of winter weather, and I have to say that driving around in the winter months is just as safe as it is in the winter months.

It's places on the fringe, where people don't have to get accustomed to the driving where you run into trouble.

It's a good thing driver's licenses are issued by the states, then, isn't it?

Not as relevant as you'd think because it varies by state. NYC gets no snow. Long Island gets maybe 3 inches per winter month. My hometown gets 130 inches over the course of the winter.

That's the heat island effect from the inefficient blacktop and concrete roofing on 99% of city buildings. Maybe a certification for city or country?

I just don't think there's any real way to enforce it. Plus, what happens if you're not certed for city driving but then you go on a road trip without country licensing? And even that wouldn't sift out the real issue, which is in the in-between areas.
