I'm not sure why but for some reason, my history is not storing pages I've visited. I have "History" in "Internet Options" set up to keep pages for 21 days. Regardless, history is no longer storing pages.

Specs:

IE 6.0.2900.2180
XPSP2

If anyone has any ideas or if additional info is required, please let me know. Thanks in advance for all time and consideration given.

What do you mean by not storing pages? Not storing meaning you can't view it offline or not storing meaning it's not showing up in the history when you go to view history?

You could try reinstalling, or you could just move up to IE7 like the rest of the world.

I was hoping that it was simply something I misconfigured and would just require me changing an option or two as opposed to doing a reinstall (which I will do as a last and final resort) and I don't really like the way IE7 is set up. Up to this point 6 has served me well and unless nothing suggested resovles the problem, I would like to stick with it.

So you'd rather keep a program that's out of date and (more) flawed then IE7?

Up to this point I've had no problem with 6 and the "flaws" have not impeded my web browsing.

Except that you can't view your history.

I haven't been able to find anything to solve your problem, short of reinstalling the program.

Thanks for checking. And just so you know, History has worked fine on this system for almost 2 years. It just stopped working sometime earlier this week. It's just weird.

Obviously you don't know a lot of IE if you don't think there's that many security flaws.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that I don't think my problem is related to a security flaw.

It could just be a straight up glitch in the program, or it could be that something exploited a security flaw.

It seems to have resolved itself. Let's lock this bitch up and head to the bar; I need a drink.
