In reply to Sean, #5378: (I'm gonna de-mystify) I've been using Paint.net for some days now. For solo reason of... "Layers". That saves insane amounts of time.
The greatest improvement being, that the Curve line has four points, rather than three (as in MS-paint) :)
My use of the program (not really knowing what it can do), is to take a picture, create an extra layer, go nuts with the Curve-line and fill in the blank spots with color. The end :) - A study... In lines...
Have a Joel. He says: Hey-Man (Get it?)... Double Gold!
Before we go over the 5-post thingy thingy, I'll just post this picture of Michael - Before I'll fill in the MANY MANY MANY fields with happy colours. It took forever to draw these tiny boxes, but I think it turned out kinda cool, so I'll make both a black and white (this one) post, and later one with colours. Enjoy Mr. Michael Jones:
It's the zombielook of the Summer ladies and gentlemen
I like this Marybeth & Jack picture better than the last one, but the amount of details was insane (The resolution was much higher on this photo) - which of course is part of the fun, but also the most time-consuming one so far - Michael's came on a close second. Anyway... Hope you like it :) (roosterteeth.com/marybeth1210)
PS: Jack's beard in particular was a lot of tiny fields to draw, but then again, the beard is awesome ;)
In reply to JeppeRoemer, #5395: Jack asked me to enhance the resolution. The first one (which I've posted above) was 2000x1500, this is 4000x3000. Also I sharpened the image, and increased the Saturation. Hope you like it:
Millie. She's cute, but very green... *Note: I've chosen not to paint the wall behind her => There is a huge bunch of hair floating somewhat huddled to the left... Oh well...
Your constant contributions are appreciated, and you can see that you are growing as you experiment. I'd like to see more of what you can do freehand rather than tracing and filtering photos. Your concept character sketches are pretty neat, i'd like to see more of that.
