It's all based on how well you take care of it. My older brother and I used the same xbox from summer 2007 until we gave it to our little brother, and it worked until this January because he ran skyrim in it while it was sitting on carpet for hours at a time.
Newer models should be perfectly long-lasting unless you're a fuckhead.
Incase anyone hasn't heard, Phantasy Star Universe's 360 servers are going offline. It's the only version of the game in the USA that still has active servers, and the free expansion has some online achievements that will be unobtainable once that happens. www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/06/09/pha...
I'd post a thread about it, but my karma is too low. I would be more than happy to help people get the online achievements before they become unobtainable.
Oh, I've done that before with other games and I already got all the achievements. I just wanted to let people know about it since I haven't seen anything about it in Achievement Hunter or anything.
Well, was offering to help because the servers are going down and there won't be any other way to get the online achievements, I know my way around the game, and I can access shortcuts to mission lobbies newer users can't visit unless they've already been there and save time by doing so.
But if you want, I could write a guide giving players an idea of what to do. Though I don't see why people can't use the forums as a way to team up, boost achievements, and let other people know about games going offline.
That... doesn't really make sense. It's like saying "We can't use this because people don't normally use it."
Still, I figured news of PSU shutting down (and the fact there's online achievements with the free downloadable expansion) would at least be mentioned on AHWU.
Besides, this isn't even the AH section. This is the 360 section. It's not like sharing news or offering boosting help would be detrimental to RT making video guides, and there's not any rules against it either.
tony here is just playing devils advocate with ya....but he has a point. Before you posted, he last post was 2 months ago. Not the highest traffic web page on the net.
Posting here in this thread can't hurt you, but it sure as poop ain't helping ya.
Hi guys, i have a question, don't know if this is the right sub-forum but here goes my question. Can i living in belgium purchase games from the uk and play them or are they bound by land-codes(which would s*ck)?
Region-locking does exist, and whether or not to use it is up to the publisher. I know, for example, that mass effect 3 is not region locked, but I only know this because someone asked this same question on another forum and an MS guy answered.
I guess you're right, but i hate the stupid high prices in belgium for xbox games. A good example is Forza 4 is still 50-60 euro's new (came out last year) and Amalur has already dropped to 30, but that came out much later. Same with gears of war 3 still 50 euro's and Saint's Row the third still 40.... When i compare to how fast pc games drop in price...
