Don't get me wrong, I'm having a blast; I just have the feeling that I'm out of the know somewhere... I did read the FAQ, I was just curious as to the 'climate' of the guild.
There's no official guild policy on Operation groups, because there are at least 3 Operation groups, each led by a different person. If you are wanting to do Operations, all you need to do is get into one of the groups or help start one.
Updating FAQ to include information on Operation groups.

So, does anyone have a decent Repub guild on Shadowlands besides DAs? I just don't want all my characters on there because there is never anybody on. I haven't seen more than 10 people on in forever.
Man, I'm not off to a good start. Not that I've even really started since I can't create a fucking account. I get the the username field and Tufty94 is apparently taken, but so is Tufty348905 and other shit like fuyjhnvfgv.
Is this a common problem for every username combo to appear as invalid or unavailable.
Not that I've come across. Either the names are taken, or it's because they're in the middle of maintenance right now (servers offline).
If the problem is from earlier today, get creative. The username doesn't appear anywhere else or used besides login and in their emails to you. The swtor.com account name is the display name you'll show if you use the forums. I think they also have the face-rolled-on-keyboard names locked out. Try UKTufty or something.

Thanks. I think it was because of the server maintenance. It was fine once the servers came back online.
Also, I noticed when I redeemed a time card it said I have 89 days of play time. Does this mean that I have to spend time in the game for it to deduct from my total or does it work the same way Xbox Live does?
Been thinking about getting this and playing. For someone whose experience with MMO's is analogous with the phrase "only gotten my feet wet" how difficult would it be and how long would it take for me to catch on?

I'm hopefully getting it this week! I know I'm a little late but if any of you have it add me on RT and I'll try and find you on SWTOR. I've played both the old republic episodes for original Xbox and even though the graphical differances between them and this depress me somewhat I'm a star wars fan at heart and, I cant wait to get on this! I plan on getting a year pass as well!
