Any chance of this forum being displayed on the main forum list? I see it in the "Hide Forums" section of the settings, but it isn't being shown on the main page.so where we can post our tournaments
It should be there, in the Gaming group. Maybe there is a caching issue. -- Burnie
You can make a thread to start planning yours if you want. Once Sponsors have the ability to create Tournaments, they will appear in the Tournaments page along with all the others. -- Burnie

What do you mean exactly?
Starting Monday 4/27, Sponsors will be able to create and run their own tournaments. We will be featuring some of these, just to keep the ball rolling, but anyone can make one. Although, we suggest playing in a good number of tournaments before trying to run one. -- Burnie
Will tournament creators be allowed to moderate said tournament in game? (effectively cutting 16 player matches to 15 or 14 if one is wanted for either side.)
You can always fill a slot in with BYE and give someone a free first round, but you can't change the mathematical structure of a bracket to accommodate anything but 4,8,16,32,etc. teams. If you mean in the GAME being played, you can set whatever rules you want. We have offered a set of General Rules that should make playing in a tournament easier and more consistent, but you can set any specific game rules you want. For instance, the very first tournament is 4v4 Attrition CTF rather than standard CTF. -- Burnie
Will tournaments be kept to a 32 team maximum? The Thunderdome tournament had about 53 teams sign up.
For now. We have looked at 64 teams, but that's a little unwieldy. We think it's better to hold two 32-team tourneys and let the winners play each other.
And we're more focused on finding a way to have free-for-all tournaments like Slayer where the top 4 people per round move on.
How far in advance will sign ups for tournaments be posted? Where will they be posted?
We will try to do them a week ahead. You can watch the Announcement thread stickied in this forum for updates. If you plan on playing in lots of tournaments, I would add that thread to your watchlist. -- Burnie
could there be a few more tournaments that favor GMT? i mean, 3AMs a bit late for some people
For now, staff tournaments will be set at a time that we are able to run them. I have asked the guys to pitch in after work and they have agreed to help. Once users can create tournaments, anything can happen. -- Burnie
can we create special rules for some games? like for racing have it be a specific car on a specific track or class 9 cars only?
We have offered a set of General Rules that should make playing in a tournament easier and more consistent, but you can set any specific game rules you want. For instance, the very first tournament is 4v4 Attrition CTF rather than standard CTF. You can make whatever rules you want for the game. But be warned, the more complex the gametype variant, the more likely people will not understand. Keep it simple. -- Burnie
Thank you for this great new feature. Dumb question... Can you set tourneys for anytime you want? Reason why I'm asking this is because if this gets real popular chances are that there will be times in which multiple tourneys for the same game will be played at the same time. Which may cause a little confusion.
Tournaments can be set to run at anytime. You can also change the number of participants on the fly. Don't expect people to wake up at 6:00AM on a Saturday to play. -- Burnie
How long will these go on? As long as people keep creating them?
Yes. The staff will only make a maximum of three per week though. Right now, we are planning on doing a Halo Monday, Arcade Wednesday and New Release Friday as an ongoing theme. HOWEVER, we will not let tournaments interfere with production and we hope that the user base will take off and run with this the way they did with Grifball. -- Burnie
Yo do we need the mythic maps for the new tournaments?
We will do our best to avoid using any paid DLC and will specify when we do. For the Grifball tournament, we plan to let people use either Foundry or NOKYARD's Sandbox Arena, which is completely awesome. -- Burnie
I noticed there is even a tournament for an arcade game (peggle), does this mean that tournaments can be created for all games? Or at least the ones that have multiplayer?
I'm just wondering but is there any chance you might be able to change a time any day cos I live in england and by the time you guys get going I have to go cos it's about 12:00 at night, me and my friends would love to kick you- I mean we would love to have a friendly game against you guys at RT.
