1. This episode was actually pretty decent considering what we've been getting. 2. DI Hunt? Total homage to Life on Mars (UK). 3. JAYNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As excited as I am to see Adam Baldwin in the preview for next week's episode, they are really flogging the Castle/Beckett thing to death. Do it or don't. The almost there but then pull back at the last moment thing over and over and over is killing the show for me.
Yeah, that has been the bane of this season, it was kinda cool at the beginning when they were all "Beckett has issues" but just like her PTSD it's been mostly forgotten and only trotted out when they suddenly need a reason to keep the obvious from happening. Blah!
Laney should just lock them in a broom closet and not let them out until they have their 'seven minutes'.
Seems like this was the bit that was bringing it to a head. My guess is by season finale, Beckett opens up, and Castle drops the act. Otherwise, how do they move on if they are just bitter at each other?
It just depends on how they do it... many shows have been able to move past that stage, like Bones. Unfortunately though, Castle also seems to be loosing all the other stuff that made it so awesome in the first couple of seasons... the quick wit, macabe, etc... trying to get serious and it's just been mostly a blaise season.
There was very few actual references. Besides that line and the browncoat line at the begining. Great episode nonetheless. Here's hoping Adam comes back
Zombie episode was very good. But looking forward to the next two episodes which I assume will be a two parter. Wonder if Castle's dad will be brought up at all. Also Castle be renewed for another season yet?
10 bucks, the next season will be the final season. Half the show's draw has just disappeared. The "will they wont they?" tension is gone, so all we really have left is the case, and I highly doubt they'll only focus on that for an entire season. Doing so would literally turn the show's structure on it's head.
If they hadn't thrown in the last scene after the hand holding, I would have thought this was a series finale, instead of a season finale. The writers covering their asses in case of cancellation maybe? I don't know about you but I spent the last 5 minutes with the feeling of finality.
Also, Mr. Fillion should get a damned Oscar for his speech. You know the one.
And you know what? If they close it all up right, I'm fine with next season being the last season. I'd rather enjoy 5 seasons of something than have them drag it out to the point where I could care less about the show or the people on it. Looking at you, Bones and House.
I really don't think will they/won't they tension is that important. Hell, I let out a cheer when shows finally stop using that crutch all the time. When Shawn and Juliet finally got their shit together on Psych it was a huge relief. Same thing with Castle. Hell, Newsradio had the two will they/won't they candidates hook up in the second episode of the series just to thumb their nose at the network to show that they didn't need that to keep people's interest.
Now, Beckett quitting her job? That certainly brings into question where the show will go from here.
ABC better get going renewing the series or I will be pissed that it ended on that. I do not want another V situation, not with Castle.
Did anyone else clap during Alexis's Graduation speech? Also Kate didn't just have her walls come down, she took a wrecking ball to them, good for them.
Actually, I find it refreshing that the unresolved sexual tension is gone between Castle and Beckett. if they handle it at least as well as Chuck did, they'll be fine. I mean, Bones is coming to mind, and they ran the sexual tension into the ground, to the point where the two leads getting together was kind of anticlimactic. after 7 seasons, you just didn't care anymore. I'm glad Castle didn't go the same way.
