I do have to side with nvrtrstCHEEZ on Psi-Ops, and PaddoK33N on Black 2.
Of course, I'm still waiting for a good Commander Keen sequel. That aside, if I were to choose a game from the last two generations, I'd probably go with one of the following:
1. Silent Hill - If they can make it a good one. I'm actually psyched on Shattered Memories, but it's really a re-imagining, not in any way a remake or sequel.
2. Dark Cloud 2 - I liked the first one enough, but the second one really made that series for me, and made Level 5 a game company I could trust in.
3. Alone in the Dark - Again, if they can make a good one. Just forget the horrible re-boot and try to follow the old style with Lovecraftian horror and old-timey atmosphere. Not the origami-style graphics, but the rest of it's fine.
4. Elder Scrolls - Oblivion was so close to actually making the Elder Scrolls series completely playable to me. I tried and hated Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind. But then came Oblivion to show me that a first-person RPG can be done pretty well, though there were plenty of flaws to be had.
5. Legacy of Kain - OK, Tony Jay's dead, so we can't have the Elder God. And Raziel has been absorbed into the Soul Reaver, and he was the best character. That being said, they left a few loose ends I really want to see tied up, and maybe they can accomplish that with a well-written sequel.

LOTR BFME 3. I really thought that game ran pretty well for an RTS on the console, way better than Halo Wars was. Civilization Revolution 2 would be good and I would definitely look forward to Shadowrun 2, but a lot of people seemed to not like it too much.
I just couldn't get into it, I didn't feel like I had enough freedom with it. The limit of the small amount of units kinda made me not so happy with the game. I'll have to go back and play it again sometime.
